Spoke to my heart. I been struggling with Shame of being a homemaker. Too Overly concerned about the working woman in my family opinions,😢. Christ in you, is healing my heart. Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️ - Jesseika
Yes, the today's society does not value us, homemakers, sometimes I REALLY STRUGGLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE HOMEMAKING, because of the discouragement from other people. I am 26, and everyone just thinks that I am loosing my life at home taking care of my husband and the household.
Watch Me Eat I hope you can find some other young women , friends or family that can encourage you and are like minded. It is a very important vocation. I became a stay home mom and homemaker in the 1980's when frankly the mindset was that everyone was supposed to be out working and having a career. I was looked down upon and was 'wasting my education' . I stayed true to my beliefs. I wanted to take care of my home and children. God gave those children to me not to a babysitter. I'm not judging people who work outside the home. I knew at a young age that my calling was going to be centered around the home. We sacrificed a great deal in order to live on one modest income. Just know there is value in what you do creating a comfortable welcoming home is a blessing that will be appreciated by your family.
You are doing a beautiful work. If you had to work all day and put your kids in day are you would be missing them and wondering how you can stay home. I'd it's an income you need look into independent contractor jobs they allow you to make your own schedule. I'm a homemaker and it's tempting to go out and make money but our children will never be this age again. We have to keep our minds renewed we are not of the world. God bless be encouraged 🥰❤️❤️💓
Marci, I woke up this morning (5:00am - not normal) knowing I had to go into my laundry room and do some laundry. I had been sick for a couple of days and laundry got a little behind. I have 3 boys and a girl. Well my sons decided to just dump clean laundry into baskets, to dry their snow suits. So I come into my laundry to see an explosion of laundry every where!! Already I started to blow up in my head... planning what I wanted to tell my husband about them and what they had done... and how it’s unfair they do this blah blah blah... then I said Lord please help me! I know this is my responsibility but please help me... how do I love them when I just get so upset!!!” So here I am folding laundry looking for “homemaking encouragement” on RUclips and your video comes up. The Lord totally used you this morning in my life. I am young homeschooling mom of 4 and don’t really have those Titus 2 woman around me. I pray you continue with these types of videos for us young moms... it was so uplifting!! I will watch it everyday if I have too!! God bless you!!💕
Your theology and doctrine is ON POINT and you are SO articulate!!! This video really spurred me on, thank you! -A 27 year old steward of a husband, three children under 4, and a home
Thank you sweet friend!!!💕 This is mirroring my life as a believer now for 14 years! Love that book (Carolyn Mahoney) as well! Thank you for the encouragement and blessings for your weekend!💗
I just found your channel this morning and was so encouraged by this. I love being ministered to about homemaking, marriage, mothering. I didn't grow up in a Christian home with both parents so I am always asking the Lord for examples of what He tells us in His Word! Thank you for the sweet encouragement for today!💕
I needed these words today. Stay at home Mom of 2 boys, age 6yrs and 15 months. Wife of a worship pastor. So thankful that God led me to your site. I could listen to you everyday :) I have tears in my eyes right now because of how God used you. Thank you so much. please keep sharing what God puts on your heart.
I love coming back to this video and remembering why our home is our heart and the hub or family's world. Am glad this video remains on the internet as a place to come back to time and again. God bless you.
Thank you so much for this encouragement. I felt rebuke as well (that was the Spirit working!) and so I thank you for this video and all the good, sound advice you render for women in the home on Thankful Homemaker. God bless you Marci!
Just to mention, Jennifer L. Scott, the author of the Madame Chic series, is a Christian. While she doesn't focus on that in her books, blog, and RUclips channel, I think her faith does inform her lifestyle. My guess is that she wants her work to be relatable to everyone, not just Christians, but I do wish she would talk more about her faith.
I just found your channel Marci, thanks so much...I am 56 years old, will be married (God Willing) 30 years on Nov 21st, we have two sons 34 and 21; I worked all my life over 41 years, 2016 something happened at my work that I am still trying to understand; what it came down to is I am now retired. I still struggle because my husband still works(GLORY TO GOD) however, it does something to a person when you try to understand why someone would lie on you, whom you literally took your coat off and gave it to them, made coffee for them, gave them money, or food, etc; and was not my "coworker" just contracted in the building; anywho, I do love being at home, its just why were I not able to be home when raising our children? I love Jesus and believe you me, my heart was everywhere during that trial; thanks for letting me share; I will stop now because there is so much more; MAY GOD ABOVE THE HEAVENS BLESS AND KEEP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY; and my SISTERS ON THIS CHANNEL
Barbara Peterson so sorry to hear about the trials you went through at your job. I'm 57 and I feel as though God is calling me to be a housewife now. But then I feel guilty and think maybe it's just me wanting to stop working now. So the struggle continues....lol I've been working since I was 17. God had a plan for you. Enjoy your retirement.
I just found you tru comments on another utube channel and are pleased with your content. I'm listening to the podcast while sewing dresses for our girls. I hope you're going to keep on publishing videos and podcast. The author of the books At Home With Madame Chic is Christian I believe. If I'm not mistaken they homeschool their children with Christian Light Publication's curriculum. Her channel although not exactly Christian based, is The Daily Connoisseur 🙂
I didn't think Madame Chic was a secular book. I believe the author (RUclipsr, Jennifer Scott) is a Christian. Maybe that doesn't come through in her book. Idk.

Blessed Housewife stay strong! You will prevail😉
It will all be worth it when you stand before the Lord one day and to hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant"

Wonderful message. Thank you!
Thanks. Like the quote at 2:40 about taking pleasure in taking care of our homes, and the thoughts about the gospel being wrapped up in it all.
Excellent encouragement ! Thank you for reminder to serve where the Lord has assigned us!
This was so encouraging, thank you!

What is the name of the first book you mentioned? The non Christian one?
At Home with Madame Chic: Becoming a Connoisseur of Daily Life by Jennifer Scott :)
I didn't think Madame Chic was a secular book. I believe the author (RUclipsr, Jennifer Scott) is a Christian. Maybe that doesn't come through in her book. Idk.
Thank you, Amanda, for sharing - I didn't remember seeing anything about her Christianity in the book, but I do hope she is!
