I agree with you. Hospitality is important. Being a housewife is wonderful. I know some women who stay in front of the television or Facebook all day.......I believe that if a woman is home that she should take care of her home and not be a slob. Our Husbands work hard. We need to work hard as a homemaker.
AMAZING video, Alana! Your face is glowing when you talk about the fire that burns in your heart. Also I want to add: Your RUclips Channel is also your ministry. You are reaching many mothers here, and it is an important calling from the Lord. Blessings from Norway!!!
Thank you for this beautiful beautiful reminder this morning! So needed this. You made teary eyes because of the season that I am in with my 3 year old and 2 month old baby. I love how you said that there is no greater purpose. “Why not be EVERYTHING to one person! Thank you thank you. Love your videos.
This was honestly so beautiful! I am so grateful to God to be able to stay home with my.daughter and that my husband sees this as important as well! I honestly could not imagine her being in daycare and me not being with her, teaching her, etcm
Wow, Alana! How do you do that?! I mean, I know how... it’s the Lord speaking through you... but the way you spread the message just goes right to my heart! Amazing. Thank you.
I’ve been a subscriber of yours for awhile now and rarely leave comments, but I wanted to take the time to thank you for speaking truth to our hearts. I’ve been a stay at home mom for almost 5 years & there are many days I feel like I’m failing. So thank you for reminding me that it is a true blessing to be home with our children & even in my weakest of moments God is strong enough to get me through. This is our 1st year homeschooling so I also want to thank you for all of the homeschool insight you send our way! Have a blessed day! ❤️
Thank you!! Thank you for reassuring me that my life with a 6 month old isn’t “lazy” because I can’t fathom doing anything but taking care of my husband, baby, and the house. 🤷🏻♀️
Holy moly this spoke to me today! I spent the better part of my day updating my resume and applying for jobs, only to feel lead to not do all those things, and then your video popped up! Wow! Thank you - God is amazing!
God bless you! A breath of fresh air Alana! Thank you for allowing God to use you. I'm also appreciative of how you not only talk about where you are currently with your boys, but also where you were in their infancy stages. I'm a mom of 3 small children and I'm learning to embrace the season I'm in. I can do things one chunk at a time, and at a reasonable pace considering my babies and sleep deprivation! LOL ❤️💪🏾
I needed this! I’ve overcommitted for myself and for my children and have had to step back from a lot! I was frantic and stressed and finally realized that because two of my children are still quite little that I need to readjust my focus at this season in my life right now. I have felt incredibly guilty about it though! Hearing this today has helped encourage me and to make me realize that the guilt should not eat at me. I’m doing kitten fostering for a community animal rescue right now and it’s been the only volunteer thing I can do right now without turning my life into like you said, a checklist. Have a blessed week!
YES to feeling behind on everything.. I'm pregnant with my second and finally starting to get through that nasty first trimester yuckiness. I will get through this and be able to eat better, work out, do more around the house, etc. Thank God for my loving hard working husband and sweet toddler. I love your videos. Keep it up, girl!
This is so good, thank you! I wasn’t open to believing this message until recently because there was a lot of lies my mind subconsciously adopted. You are a light! I would love to hear your take on how to be encouraged in trying to connect with others. I’ve been trying but the majority of times plans fall through (not on my end) and it’s hard for me to not say “forget it! I’ll just focus on family only instead of other people.”
Alanna what a great message thanks for ministering to us all your a blessing and my guide on the know how take care of my future husband and family I'm a big fan of yours heaven bless you
I love listening to you and your advice as a woman older than me. I don't know if marriage and children is my vocation but your information about ministering is good either way. Love you :)
Hi Alana, needed this video today. I feel like I over-commit myself: Mom, Girl Scouts, RN, Wife, & Thirty-one. I need to do what you do and Re-evaluate and what’s important. Thank you for your time & kind words. ❤️
hi! I am a Nurse as well and totally can feel you! Do you ever want to stop nursing and stay home? I have felt that so much lately but i put so much hard work into it! I do homeschool as well and feel it all to much. Have a great day!!!
S&J Reinke First...yay for us nurses!! It’s a profession that we both worked hard to achieve. To answer your question, I do feel conflicted as well. Priorities have changed..our kids. Fortunately, I work 3 days as a nurse and 4 days as a SAHM. Right now I get Best of both worlds, but that may change as my kids grow up. 😊 how about you?
I am a nurse too! I want to be a stay at home mom! At the end of this month I will be going down to part time. I know it doesn't sound like much but I am so used to working 2 jobs 6 days a week! I love my job and don't want to give up my license (Because I worked really hard for it).
Elizabeth Lee Good for you Elizabeth! Yes, I work 3 days as an RN and my 2nd job (it’s really my fun job) is Thirty-One. Good luck with the transition and I’m sure you’re kids will love Mommy being at home more often 💕❤️
Rockstar Rochelle hey sorry I haven’t replied! Yes I do feel conflicted and at this moment I am pregnant with my 3rd and I have been so sick so I have been off work and it’s been nice to not be working but I also feel like I am not keeping up at home but this season is a different one and I am resting a lot! Hope your well!
I've seen a woman get seriously shamed over the years by other females around her for being a good wife. They laughed at her and poked fun until she gave in and started lying about her husband to fit in with these miserable broads. I love women who aren't susceptible to peer pressure like that. Great words and example!!
So blessed to have come across your channel. As creative as I am. I’m a homebody and domesticated at heart. I’m not married with children. But feel like I keep attracting feminine men because maybe my energy is a bit masculine even though I’m very feminine but I think I tapped more into my masculine side since I been on my own for so long. I just don’t want any man taking advantage of my domestic side once I decide to put myself out there. I love cooking and cleaning and being of service. I’m always being of service to others and I feel like that’s the direction god wants me to go in. People are always asking me do I minister, I guess it’s innate and natural. How do I get over this fear of being taken advantage of. My father did it to my mother when she was alive. After my first love the 2 men I dated after were looking for a mommy no ended it. These two men were not men of God. So there was no way I could submit to that. I enjoy being home I don’t care to be in the world. I have humility.
Thanks for this video. I recently became a sahm a month ago. Had my kids in daycare. Went from making almost 6 figures to nothing. It’s really hard not to make money to remodel or what not. Please pray that I get closure and become ok with this as this is what I wanted and he has called me to do. They are 20 months and 4 boys. Is really hard daily. I feel like I am doing everything wrong.
This is so good! Thank you! What about those seasons that we need to focus on our family because of littles but your husband insists on commiting the family to things that make it hard to focus on taking care of the family? I think it's hard for them to understand all of what we have to do at home.
Bethany Hall if only every person were to write out everything we do all day like every 5 minutes Because some jobs have many tasks and some have a few tasks but get interrupted 😁 In any case being submissive and supportive is not the opposite of being assertive My husband has always inconvenienced me in just about every way imaginable even just to spite me in the past I asked God for wisdom and he granted it I’m not able to do things the conventional way but I’ve been able to figure out how to have a mostly orderly and peaceful existence in my home It’s just different for every home like Alana said
Bethany Hall if only we all wrote down our tasks all day every 5 minutes Some have many tasks and some have few but get interrupted a lot!!! It’s possible to be assertive and supportive at the same time as well as submissive because that’s what’s all required to be a help mate My husband has inconvenienced me in almost every way and even just to spite me in the past I asked God for wisdom and he granted it I’m not able to do things in a conventional way but I’m able to run a relatively orderly and peaceful home
Kristin Cha I serve in the nursery once a month and when needs come up in the body that I’m able to meet, or help meet. I also meet with 2 young ladies regularly now:) congrats on new baby!!!
I know you've talked a lot about submitting to your husband. I have had a very hard time agreeing with my husband on this topic and we are now separated & contemplating divorce. He is very adamant that a woman's only purpose is to serve/please a man. I didn't know how set on this he was when I married him. He has recently told me that he expects absolute obedience and I need to submit & obey. He went on to tell me that I have very good qualities but I need to be controlled by someone who knows how to handle those qualities. I have no problem with submitting to my husband as the head of household, however, I do believe that he has a very harsh way of going about it and when I bring up scripture he says that I'm not trusting/believing him. I think some of his way of thinking stems from his childhood and he is firm in this belief. My question to you is, Am I missing something or am I taking it the wrong way? He doesn't tell me when I can speak or do things but I can only speak to him in a certain manner. He also thinks that a man can discipline a woman for her disobedience to him via spanking. Did I miss that part of the bible?
Angela Manzo No, you didn’t miss a part of the Bible. Your husband is being physically abusive and using religion as an excuse to justify it. Divorce is your best option.
Hi Alana! Is there an online women's group that I can join to be a part of? I am a wife that has a lot to offer to younger women in the faith, but also would love to be sharpened by stronger women as well. Our churches in this area are heretical. I am seeking fellowship. Do you know of anything like this? Blessings.
ProtegeJoy I have been praying to find a godly mentor if you would like to connect via email or text. I'm having difficulty finding women serious about the word in my area.
Everyone I know that has kids or they are married they are miserable. I go into peoples homes and it’s so dysfunctional and there’s no order or discipline. Kids all out of order and disrespectful. I want to home school my child when I have one.

You look very beautiful! Love your jewellery as well
This makes me want to stay home. But once I have kids and only during the season before they start school. Thank you!
Just love you!
"Believing the world's nonsense over God's beautiful design". I love that - it's a tweetable!
I might be pmsing but this made me tear up.
Alana, de verdad que es una bendicion poder escucharte. Dios te bendiga. 😘

It looked as if my message didn’t go through the first time 🤨
Any way you are able to serve at your church now? I am definatley taking a break as I have a toddler and due in a month and half.

Hey! Where do you pull your poems from?
Charlene Burgos a lot of Charlotte mason recommended through English lessons notebook as well as online children’s poems.
when you say the minister is it like JW who knock on doors distribute tracts, preach or is it like attending a church group, or both....
Amen.
