I don't have a char broiler. Will use the ingredients to roast my Holiday turkey in the oven. I keep mine fully wrapped in aluminum paper so that the meat does not go dry at about 365° for about 2.5 to 3 hours. With about 20 to 30 minutes to go, I will unwrap the meat so that the skin can get brownish.
You are a life saver, I was wondering if I could cook mine with tin foil. Thank youuu
The herb butter/turkey was a Home Run for our first year hosting. Thanks! Love the big EZ
Do not cook until 165. Pull it out before it reaches 165 because it will continue to cook as it rests. Pulling out at 165 will make it dry
Exactly 💯
So when should you pull it out
@@inkbomb3036 160 would be perfect then let it rest for the same amount of time it took to cook. 2 1/2 hours cook = 2 1/2 hours rest
@@honors619 2 1/2 hr rest is absurd
@@GuitarGuy650 Ramsey said the best turkeys rest for the same amount of time they cooked… I’m always tempted because I like my food hot
This looks amazing!!!
Trying this recipe but using my roaster oven!! Looks delicious 😋 THIS CAME OUT AMAZING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Wow that’s amazing. I especially love the juices coming from the bottom for an easy gravy
For my gravy, I lightly cook the flour first with butter before adding the drippings and stock. And for extra savory flavor I add ground coriander.
Just bought one of these fryers and getting ideas and trying to learn things before i get started
That bird looked dry as hell
LMFAOOO
It is because he pulled it out at 165, it continued to cook and go above 165, drying it out
@@honors619 it looked more like it wasn't basted
@@reno43512 how does basting the outside make the inside more moist? all you do is ruin crispy skin
ghandu
Excellent job 👏
Tried this for Thanksgiving. It worked great! The only problem was that my meat thermometer didn’t work so I had to use the time measurement based on weight instead of temp.
It would be worth it to get another thermometer. It's good it worked out for you doing it time based, but you want to pull the turkey out before it hits 165 so it can rest. It will still cook another 10 degrees or so. The ultimate goal is not drying it out.
Looks delicious

Yes make sure to dry it as much as possible and it will be easy peasy 😊

Don’t use a spatula to place the seasons inside. Use your hands
Glad he wasn't wearing gloves
So now days people are stealing Gordon Ramsay’s recipes and not saying anything about it. Just refer people to his channel or old episodes or restaurants or just say you wanted to record yourself cooking his recipe.
@165, you're turkey will be dry.
Tbs of salt 😂
What in the half cooked turkey is this😂😂😂?
I do the same only thing is I brine and inject my turkeys before deep frying and it’s the opposite when I pull out at 165
Just dumping in flour is disgusting
This looks disgusting. No salt, pepper, sazón, garlic powder, onion powder, complete seasoning, oregano??? Nothinggg ???????
