Just put it on cold water and change out the water every 30-40 minutes took my 14 pound turkey about 9 hours to completely defrost but make sure the water isn’t too cold that turkey won’t defrost within a day
It's also 'free range' which is typically much more per pound then normal chicken/turkey so I'm sure that's why, plus it's non GMO which means they fed the birds a special dirt so you pay more. It's probably from Whole Foods or some organic market too which probably also explains it

This recipe was easy to follow and came out perfect. I had hosted Thanksgiving and cooked a turkey for the first time last year. My in laws were skeptical about the cooking time but were amazed how quickly the larger turkey cooked through. I came digging through tasty's archives in preparation for this Thanksgiving.
