I hosted my first thanksgiving for my family and used this recipe to cook my first turkey. I had slight variations from this recipe (brined for only 12 hours, used a cup and a half of butter, different herbs for herb butter, etc.) but this turkey was honestly the best, most juicy turkey I have ever tasted. Thank you for this clear, simple, and delicious recipe.

It's also 'free range' which is typically much more per pound then normal chicken/turkey so I'm sure that's why, plus it's non GMO which means they fed the birds a special dirt so you pay more. It's probably from Whole Foods or some organic market too which probably also explains it

    • @darkfire565

Our stove isn't the greatest for heat. I prepped the butter the night before and I felt the flavors were that much more amazing. So easy to make. So tender. So moist. It was a big hit.

I really appreciate her talking me through the whole process. It took me awhile to appreciate her voice but after a bit it sounds soothing in the way that she's essentially taking charge of my dumb arse in the kitchen while gently but firmly walking me through everything so I don't look completely foolish. I genuinely wish she had more voice-over videos actually. They're more interactive, informative and fun for me personally!
