Yas! Start small, if you are new or intimidated. Start with meals you already know your family will love and double them. The freedom from the dreaded "What's for Dinner?" is so worth it! You save money, time and sanity! Don't even wait, get started now!

Christie, girl! You are so awesome!! Any time yall talk about prep work, it seems you do almost all of it! Sharla is so blessed to have you! You have such a giving, joyful spirit 😊

I don't think I even do half of it! lol Especially now that Sharla has her daughter helping with prep. But if I do more there, it doesn't bother me for a second because the hard work is in the planning and she does all of that. :) We're a good team!

You gals are so cute together! Love your hacks and when you make your meals. I love freezer meals. I just ordered an onion slicer from Amazon. i've been watching other people use it. I'm convinced.

My rule of thumb now after doing meals for about 1.5 years is to triple or quadruple the recipes I know my family loves and will eat 2 times a month. And then double the rest.

Where can you find the list of things that freeze you mentioned in this video? (I can’t find it in the links.)

Re: opening cans…just get the restaurant sized cans of commonly used items like diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and beans. Only one can to open!

Yes! Costco used to sell the big tins of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. They haven't for awhile since they opened up the Costco Business Centre in our city. We haven't gone there yet. We keep saying we need to go and do a field trip!

Great info except for the packaged cheese info. I don't know about yalls packaged cheese in Canada, but here in the U.S. it's more than "just potato starch." There are enzymes, annatto, potato starch, corn starch, dextrose, calcium sulfate, and natamycin. That's more than just potato starch.

I looked again and ours is often just cellulose, which is tree fibre, and considered edible. That is a good reason to shred your own cheese! We add cornstarch for keeping it loose when we shred it ourselves.
