Thank you for sharing these with me as now I can start making these. I live alone and live on limited income. This will really help me as I buy by bulk when on sale. Now instead of just having the meat repackaged the way I want, now I can make a complete meal. I will no longer think of what to have with the hamburger that I took out
So glad to hear that! We have other videos of just ground beef meals too, so you can really stock up on variety when you catch a good sale. Also have a look for our individual meal prep. We have plenty of ways of making smaller portions and saving money. I'll post a link: ruclips.net/p/PL0HOtnw6h2BlRtMn8pJs7K0gk4uXsj1oD&si=U6JegarLIBigOHMo
I do use my seal-a-meal to repackage all of my mest into from the store so I don't worry about freezer burn on my food. I also use my seal-a-meal when putting anything into my freezers.
Rouladen are a traditional German dish, mainly for special occasions. It creates the best, best, best gravy ever. As I love the original dish so much, I'm not sure If I'm brave enough to try the lazy Rouladen. I could either be stunned or disappointed. Need to check if I still have Rouladen gravy in the freezer and work up the courage I guess😊
I have been making roladin for 60years but I add pickle juice to make the gravy and yes it looks weird because it's a little greenish but every one that smells it ends up at my house for dinner so I always make mega amounts so maybe I'll try yours because it takes along time
One way you can give gravy from scratch a bit more colour and flavour, is if you add a bit of soy sauce. Depending on the volume of gravy you're making, you can add a bit at a time until you think it looks/tastes good. you don't want to add too much if using normal soy sauce because of the sodium content, as it might make it too salty, but it really helps. Even with Chicken gravy, I add a splash of soy sauce to make it a little browner, because it can be very beige.
Sharla, keep trying to make homemade gravy. It will be so worth it! Once you perfect it, let us know. :) I am making a ground beef list for my next session. Cathy's Lazy Rouladen is on that list. And the Chili Casserole. I looked in the Club before in the description box. I will wait for that one. :) Thank you!
Hot tip! Put in little wire basket thing in IP and pot raw ground beef on top sprinkled with S/P (I also like to add Sunset Gourmet Oh So Garlic and Oh So Onion! CDN company too 😉) add cup water. All the fat drains under the cooked beef. Take out, put in casserole 9x13 and use the Gr beef chopper (AKA your microphone 🎤) and chop up and DONE! Easy to discard the grease!
GROUND BEEF COOKING... I saw on American Test Kitchens that they recommend adding 1 / 8th tsp of baking soda to a pound of ground beef when cooking. It prevents protein strands from uniting and make a more tender burger or chili or any recipe using ground beef. They did not recommend more then 1/8th tsp as it may change the flavor. I have used this tip for the past year and I found it to be helpful.
I'm sooooo behind on videos... getting all these blasted plants out of my house and Into the garden!!!!! Ahhhh ! Lol so great full for the extra time though! My beef and 🥦 broccoli meal is defrosted for dinner tonight... cuz this momma is spent...lol
Hi Anne, you can access a coupon code by taking our free cooking class. You can read about that here: freezermeals101.com/freezer-to-sheet-pan-cooking-class/
So it would cost 80 dollars to join your club? I am on a fixed income and no way could I afford that which is sad because some of the recipes sounded pretty good.
Hi Pat! Most of our recipes are available for free on our website here: freezermeals101.com To join the Club, it is $79 a year or we've recently added a monthly option for $9 a month.
Oh goodness Kim! This is obviously your first time watching one of our videos. There are plenty of cooking channels on RUclips that are just the recipes. We are not that channel nor do we want to be. We are chatty and we try to bring a smile and some joy to our viewers. If you are looking for recipes only, I would say it's probably best to watch a channel that does that. We're not everyone's taste!
I absolutely love your curls Kristy. Thanks for sharing these ground beef recipes ladies ❤

Instead of ricotta use cottage cheese add an egg to it. It's awesome
I have gravy mixes that I premake and there is no need for envelopes- chicken, beef, country. You may want to check out some of the mix recipes.

That is how my mom made it growing up. So good and so easy. Usually made right in the roasting pan on the stove.with all the drippings. 😋
I substitute Italian sausage , jimmy dean, etc all the time for ground meat

How many servings are typically in each freezer meal bag?
Our recipes are typically 4-6 servings each.
Thank you both! Ground beef will be on sale next week so I can print and be ready to make a mini-stack ❤
Perfect timing!
Ummm use cornstarch for gravy not flour 🎉
Cornstarch works but flour is definitely my preference!
