Guy's out there with the p0420 code. Before the guy at your local shop tells you your converter is bad, an they have a $300 converter in stock. check the donut gasket and\or spring bolts thats between the converter and exhaust pipe. (The leak may only happen above 2k rpms so you may need someone to keep the rpms up when checking for the leak) Especially if you have\had bad motor mounts and the p0420 code popped up
Headers on the QR do give you a check engine light unless you do the oxygen sensor spacer near the resonator. Also from 2002-2006 Sentra also have a problem with the butterfly screws right under the intake manifold.
you don't have to warm it up more that 15-30 seconds depending on how cold it is. the vehicle will warm up faster if you drive it smooth. just don't revv too high until the vehicle is at optimal temp.
I have an 08 2.5 SL with 276,000 miles completely stock. has the same CVT and motor from the factory. I have a DNA exhaust. sounds like a quiet fart can civic with more beef. makes really neat pops between the simulated gears in sports mode.

The shift kit, valve body has to come out for the main parts of it. There are a couple extra seals you can upgrade but trans has to come out and apart. Ive got a transgo kit for my altima. It does involve drilling into the vb soooooo imma prob leave that to a shop to do.

Was getting some food on the way home, and car died out in the drive through, rip. and it was the pump, after replacing that, it stopped shifting hard. At least that's how it was for me.

if you plan on keeping the 2.5 for a long ass time, go catless to avoid high mileage clogging later in the future (200,000miles) and replace the stock exhaust manifold with the cat inside for a catless header
Its not Headers on a four cylinder. A four cylinder has one header. one header for each bank of an engine. It would be impossible to install headers on a QR because the head only has room for one.

The vq35 is a widely popular motor for modification without many reliability issues, they're really only known for some oil cooling and consumption issues, never heard of someone blowing a vq from "racing" without having a ton of power going to it without supporting mods...

My Altima is straight piped from the headers back to the muffler, after I did both of those my 02 sensors started tripping hard, I even unplugged my battery to reset the check engine light n it only last for about an hour, so I’m gonna have to bypass my 02 sensors so that engine light dosnt annoy tf outta me

But mostly it's got no cats and I have a muffler delete alongside a weapon r short ram cai. Which has an extension to get more air. That's all the performance stuff I've done and having headers with no catalytic converters and no muffler basically gives you a decently sounding altima
Stock altima 2.5 pushes 175 hp from 02-06 so my friends think atm I may be pushing close to 200 but I may be buying a turbo kit eventually not sure tho

3" is too big for just about anything that isn't boosted. If your car is only bolt-on's/tune then never go more than 1/2" over stock size or you'll lose backpressure (and therefore power).

I have a second gear hard shift on my 06 Altima 2.5 SL. But I noticed it it doesn't hard shift after the engine warms up 🤷🏾♂️

Bruh solid motor mounts will typically make your whole car vibrate at high rpms or at idle typically. Not really daily friendly.
