If you want to shoot a G44 without problem : 1st- remove your glove and avoid to let the finger of your left hand in the slide. 2- use cartridge with high speed (396 m/s minimum). I have one and I set up a suppressor B and T and I have no problem with but I use only Winchester SUPER X CAL. 22 LR or CCI stinger. Without the suppressor I use CCI blazer.
First of all- thanks for the two great videos, you saved me some money, time and a lot of frustration. Not trying to be a know it all but I pretty much figured that this was going to happen I was planning on going the the Great Outdoor show next week and was going to buy mounts and red dot's for my two mod 44's. I have a ton of standard velocity ammo and I' not in the mood to have to go out and buy 10 cent/round .22 high velocity ammo so my two plinking model 44's work as they should. I think that at least three things need to happen until a red dot reliably works on these pistols., One- some one needs to make a light weight polymer mount, two- also a light weight sight and three perhaps a lighter recoil spring. ( I think that this is the key) As a side note I have found that even when shooting my 44's (without a red dot) that they run very reliably but you need to keep them wet ( break free etc...) after running a few hundred rounds through them. keep in mind - don't hose down the chamber. If Lenny McGill from Glock store is out there and following this issue- figure this problem out, come up with a solution and I guarantee that you'll do alright selling the solution.-Just saying... I also own two Smith and Wesson AR-22 rifles, they function very reliably with red dot's on them, I do realize that the longer barrels probably create more back pressure but they are both blow back firearms....
I changed my sights to a TruGlo fiber optic that is only a fraction of a gram weight increase and had to shoot 500 rounds before it would run flawlessly with ALL ammo. The 44 is very sensitive to slide weight.
I used a strike industries scorpion mount with a sig romeo zero ,using aguilla 40 grain round nose high velosity 500 rounds running neatly 100 %. As long as I can find that ammo all's good.
you should look into Lakeline LLC. They have lightweight dovetail optic plates for glock. I put one on my G44 w/ a romeozero and it runs pretty good. I did put a Nelson Precision Guide rod and recoil spring in it. I comes with a 13lb spring. You can lighten the spring weight if you desire. I hope this helps. I have been through your frustration.
I have two Glock 44s. I put a Holosun 407 on one. I shoot CCI AR ammo at 1200 fps (advertised not chronographed). Pretty much runs without a hitch. Even runs well with a suppressor.
per johnny glock i used an EGW dovetail mount and epoxy glue to keep it from moving. works great with hotter ammo. then i put a nelson precision 13 pound guide rod in my 44 and now it runs on anything. also ended up buying a nelson precision aluminum slide with the optic cut and it is a smooth running gun for sure finally. eats anything i shoot in it.
l'hai modificata? la mia funziona perfettamente con tutte la cartucce High Velocity e ne ho sparate quasi 1000 senza il minimo problema (CCI ,Remington,Aguila,ecc...) E' superlativa!
This stupid gun is frustrating to use. I have tried multiple types of ammos most of which have failure to eject problems even without the optics. You have to use specific types of ammo, only very few of them would work.

Had the same feed problem with my G44. Polished the chamber and feed ramp. 0 problems, have had a fialure since. I use cci .22 max

Yeah they are. Once I find a adjustable recoil spring assembly I should be able to fine tune it.

Thanks for the tip I’ll look into it. 👍

You can also change the recoil spring if you can find one with less poundage. Those .22 lr’s are fickle mistresses.
I was thinking about that being the next move. Just a matter of finding the right one now.
@@thee_adam_jagger did you ever end up finding one?
Did you ever get it to run with the 36 grain ammo?

Niceeee, I’m hoping to get my hands on a Nelson slide eventually and do a very in depth video on it.
@@thee_adam_jagger you will definitely be pleased with it. carry on sir !!
i SHOULD HAVE READ THIS BEFORE WRITING MY LONG WINDED RESPONSE AT TOP, THANKS! PS; I IIVE 4 MILES FROM EGW!
Cold weather will not help you with .22’s. They need higher temperatures to get the pressure up.
you have to reduce spring weight to run I had to make a guide rod for a 11 pound spring
That was the issue I had was trying to find a adjustable guide rod. I should have a pretty cool solution to this that I’ll be posting soon.

By the TX22 or sig22lr. All other Glocks are cool but the G44 failed

Change the recoil spring it will be good
You need a high velocity round
This is exactly what I was afraid of. You need more grain
