We have a couple of these units and we use them in our RV. We winter in our RV in The Great White North (Canada), and we find that they make a significant difference in our bedroom area. We use a Mr. Heater Big Buddy (portable propane) as our primary heating source, but these little electric heaters are worth their weight in gold to us. We have one running constantly (it’s FREEZING here) and keep the other one as a backup. They cost pennies to use, which is nice, and the dry heat offsets the moisture produced by our Mr, Heater Big Buddy, so we couldn’t be happier with our little combo. As concert artists, we’re on the road for about ten months a year, so we’re particular about the quality of everything that keeps us warm and healthy. I’d recommend these little dynamos to anyone. (Our RV/tour bus is 192 sq. ft.) Love and All Good Things, Jesse.🌹
We use one in our 18 ft travel trailer and it works great 👍. It does have an internal thermal switch for safety and will trip if you block the airflow on the bottom or front of the unit. The glowing you are seeing is not the heating element, it is an orange led they have used to give it the look of a fireplace. Ours will come to temp and the fan will continue to run on a delay until the element cools. The fan will now shut down, however the led will stay lit, giving you that orange glow. We have used ours while camping in moderately cool Florida winters, about 45 degree outside temps.
I installed this unit in a small out door house for my cats. The house is only 14 cubic feet and has an always open door way and a smaller "escape hatch" in the back of the house which has a cloth flap door. I used it all winter and the only problem I ever had was it shut off because I didn't set the timer right. Since no cats were using the house at the beginning of this month I kept it turned off. A neighborhood mother cat moved in today with two kittens about 4 weeks old. I've turned it back on and they seem really appreciative. These cats were previously living outside under a nearby porch. Where it was somewhat open to he elements in that gusts of wind might have been "broken down" some and no rain could get them but the temperature undoubtedly was the same under there as outside, sans the wind chill. For my purpose it works great but I don't know how anyone would expect such a small unit to warm even a small room in a house. It might be worth it to heat a little kids play house in the back yard but kids being kids would be opening the doors and even leaving them open. Not to mention I'd never feel 100% safe having this around my kids unless I was there watching everything.
This device is amazing I’m a trucker don’t get to run our engines as long as we want keeps my cab nice and cozy and doesn’t shut off thank the lord for heat ! Make a difference
I was going to buy this for my son as he has left home and his little flat isn’t very warm and we have cold winters in the U K🇬🇧 . It was going to be part of his Christmas present. I only came on to google the price and this video came on. I’m really happy I watched this and read lots of comments on this product. It’s totally put me off getting one. Think I’ll put money in a card for him, a bit safer I think. Thankyou for the video 👍
I bought one on clearance. ($9) last winter. I use it only in my bathroom & only when I am in the bathroom or bedroom. I am very happy with it. serves it's purpose for me.
I have just received my handy heater and it stopped working after half a minute !! It won’t start up again. It looks like there’s a short somewhere. I tried to set a different temperature but it doesn’t work at all. If it doesn’t work how am i supposed to see if the timer or shut off works? Would not recommend this product. Bought via Amazon next day delivery, will be returning it today !! Cheap and probably nasty !!
UL rated and I'll know if it's not UL rated and it's got electric elements in it it burns your house down too bad for you because you don't have any recourse
I own this. I don't use the timer feature. When my brother in law would do overnight stays, we would usually get this going 20-30 mins before he went to bed with the door closed. And yeah, maybe it didn't get super hot in the room, but for us you feel it kept the chill off and maybe added a slight bit if warmth. Now that room tends to be colder since it is not completely next to the heater in our mobile home. Unike my bedroom that gets roasting hot. But I so far have no objection to it.
Thanks so much for this review. I have been going back & forth with trying this for my place (drafty windows/poor insulation)... and what you pointed out were, in fact, some of my concerns. Thanks for the info. This will be staying o the shelf. The search continues...
I have it in all my bathrooms i dont use the timers all we do is turn the unit on when were going to shower when you turn it on its in 90 and high it works best in that setting so just turn it on when needed and then turn it off when your done its the only way it warms the small room and only a small room, it does the job for me I've had them for over 2 years now and they still work.
I was gifted one of these and despite it being well below 0 outside it heated what I would describe as a small single box room no problems 👍. Given the cost of gas electric and the cost of living here in the UK it's definitely saved me money and kept me comfortable cheap but cheerful is how I would describe this product. Blessings to all from ENGLAND 🙏🙏😃🙏🙏🙏🙏
The heater works as a ventilator. it sucks all the air in the room slowly and emits warm air. its working like a charm with me. Also it is totally safe to use unless you really don't know how to place it properly. it takes about 2 to 4 hours to heat up a totally isolated home.
I have recently purchased this heater , originally for my living room as a stop gap heater not a hope but I do have a teaching space of 12 feet square and 9 ft high and it’s great for that , it cuts off when it reaches temperature I have it on low and temperature on lowest setting , Awsome
You mentioned that it sounds kinda like a hair dryer, which made me laugh. My mother had a full bathroom and if it’s cold out, she takes her hair dryer out, turns it on high heat/low speed and the bathroom gets so hot, that she comfortably bathed, gets out to dry, and comes out almost sweating!! Maybe you could compare the two?? BTW, I am LOVING your channel!!
Aaww you seem sad, depressed, and extremely quiet in these earlier videos! After seeing this video I just want to give you a hug. I love the newer videos because you just seem happier!
with this video you safed people Time+Money for that we will thank you monumentally! you're a great and very honest person, please keep up making the video's you earned a sub
like all heaters, their thermostat is interfered with by the heat it produces. You will never have an ambient temperature away from the heater, which reads the same as the thermostat connected to the heater unit. It's just common sense.... which obviously Freakin' Reviews doesn't have... regardless of that, this unit could be defective... hard to know from the video if it's a defective test...
I know it's an old video, but i have to say; this tiny heater works great. For what it is. I live in an attic apartment, (3 windows, full kitchen & bath, 2 walk-in closets, around 250 sq. ft.), and it keeps the entire place warm.
I have one of these for my RV and I use it in the bathroom. Works great for me. I don’t really care if the temp read out is accurate because I’ve gotten used to what temps I want at what time. For example, I set it at 76 when I go to bed (during cold winter nights) and it keeps my bathroom from being a refrigerator when I get up and use the rest room. I set it to 80 when I take a shower and it makes the bathroom nice and toasty. I’m pretty sure the heating element doesn’t get red hot, but there is a LED light in there that makes it look like it’s red hot. I bought this one and a ten dollar version at Walmart on the same day and this one is far better than the ten dollar one. If you need decent heat in a relatively small area, this is a good heater in my opinion. I’ve been living in my RV for six months and it’s gotten down to 20 degrees outside, but my bathroom is nice and warm thanks to this heater. For the rest of my RV I use bigger space heaters (electricity is free with my rent).
It is now an "internet only" item. Now it's called Insta Heater for $39.98. But you have to buy 4 or more at a time. Thanks for the review. I was almost tempted.
My LED fireplace stopped working so I ordered a Handy Heater but decided to cancel the order because I can buy a similar space heater locally. After watching this video I'm glad I cancelled the order. Thanks for sharing!
Claiming that you save money on electricity bill is a scam, 300watts on every kind of heater is 300watts of energy and produce the same amounth of heat. The only positive side of this heater is that you can plug it on the wall and you save space.
I bought mine last year and it kept my bathroom warm , my temperature only went up to 35degree and always sent timer to 12 hours bathroom was hot. Good product.
Hi, I agree! Love it because I have a heat pump furnace and this help keep my room warm. Just don't like the thing not coming back on when it get cold again. Heat with mines on 74 and it keeps my heat from running to long and save on the electric bill a little from coming on to much and my room is 153 12' 9"× 17' 11"
I bought this as a way to get away from lager heaters in my tiny house. It didn't work for heating and I had to go back to my larger heater or face being cold all winter. Your right it's a bad product and people shouldn't spend the money to buy a poorly made product made with good intentions.
Bored so I'm binge watching some of your videos. I could tell right away that this one was different from most of the ones I've watched. I go and check and sure enough it's FOUR YEARS OLD! The review is great and there's nothing wrong with it at all - you just seem less animated. Still, enjoy your content regardless. 😊
Hi, We had ours for about 3 years & we used it mainly in the toilet room for emergency heating in the winter time. So it was used very very little. 🙄 But recently I decided to open it up to clean it (as it was quite dusty inside), but when I reassembled everything the fan stopped working when I turn the unit on. 😕😞 I checked it with a bench power supply & the fan works fine. So I suspect the temperature sensor is the culprit or faulty. 🤔 Still worth the buy (for such the price) in my opinion. We only paid 20 € then. But now you can get it for 14 €. 😏 Best Regards,
I just bought one today Home Depot. The Heat doesn’t seem to expand to the area of the room after operating 45 mins. The way you pointed out, No Heat passed 2 ft. I will be returning for my refund tomorrow. Thanks for your valued input bro!
I have 3 of these heaters and they work just fine .. the smell is because it was NEW, it eventually goes away .. I love the 12 hour timer and the H and L settings .. even when on high setting the sound is not as loud as a hair / blow dryer .... and it does shut off when it reaches the desired temperature and will resume again when temperature drops !! .. that light that stays on just glows when it turns off but it does not throw off any heat ... when we got down to minus 19 degrees last winter ... these handy heaters were a blessing !! I'm thinking you just happened to get a bad unit or you've not played around with it enough . ( just saying what my experience has been with these Handy Heaters ) I give them 5 stars !!!
We have them under a different brand name in my country. Looks like a good way to burn down the house. Would never trust a heating element that close to a socket and wall, especially one that needs an active airflow to cool down. I bought a mini oil heater that is only 500W, works perfectly for under my desk to keep me warm at my work station.
On my handy heater the heating element inside shuts off first when it reaches the desired temperature and then the fan continues to run and cool the element and then the fan shuts off. I'd consider that a bonus how many heater fans do that ? The temperature setting does seem a few degrees off maybe three or four degrees. Not a deal breaker and mine works well in a small room. Plenty of heat. For the price its not bad. And like any heater they need to be monitored to insure safety. Mine also has the orange glow LED light when plugged in so when you see that its not the element glowing hot its the LED light inside. Im not sure why its there but its easy to see your heater at night when you see that light you know where its at in the dark. It adds a nice look to it in addition to the temperature setting readout display. Id rate it close to five stars as its pretty good at doing its job. UPDATE After closely watching the set temperature on mine I have to say its spot on. 68 degrees is 68. Considering the fact like I said that it cools itself down before shutting off I'd give it a five stars. Mines a dream.
This is an excellent product. Tried and tested. Worth every penny. Saves your electricity and warms your entire room in minutes! Would recommend 10/10!
I have one of those in my bathroom, but the temperatures are in Celsius, up to 30°C (86°F) with a 12 hour timer. When I set it to 25°C (77°F) and take a hot shower, it stops running but doesn't shut off.
I ordered 4 Zen heaters, one did not work because the fan would not turn on. The other heaters worked great, but they only worked for the 2019 winter, but not one works this year.
I think this is designed to be a desk heater. If the thing is directed straight at you, then you might enjoy the heat. It's not designed to heat even a small room.
Thank you so much for the review! This was very helpful. I'm trying to find something sufficient enough to heat up a room in my basement. From what you're saying about it shutting off two of these heaters may not work. Anyway I did subscribe to your channel.
set thermostat to the max and let it run. that's the most effective way of using a space heater. when it reached the maximum temperature, then you can start to dial the thermostat down to whatever you want. but let it heat the room first with everything it can give because if you start with like 78 deg, it's internal sensor senses the heat from inside the box, which is quite small.
I seen it on t v & was thinking about getting one cause when I work on the computer like I do most the time & it's cold my hands get cold, so that's why I was wanting to get one so I could use it to keep my hands warm here, so I'd have it on a LOW setting on about 70 degrees. thank you for the info.
Have to say that setting any heater or your thermostat above 69 for heat is wasteful-each degree above that adds 10% to your heating bill. Also since 80% of our energy STILL comes from coal-we ALL need to conserve to reduce our use of fossil fuels that ARE altering our environment and causing more frequent, stronger disasters. Americans are the most wasteful people on this planet and if every country lived as we do-we would need 4-5 earths to sustain our habits!! We have an obligation and responsibility to HELP transition to CLEAN, RENEWABLE energy sources for children now and in the future and for ALL those effected by droughts, flooding, tornados, hurricanes, wildfires, etc!! Also in the summer people should keep their setting at 75 or above and use fans. Again each setting lower is 10% more on your bill each degree.
Hi, I'm from Chile and I want to know if Handy Heater is really good and if you do not spend a lot of electricity. The question is because I am about to buy
Steven, I have two and believe it or not they are really safe. I usually set mine to low and away from curtains and beddings. I will say this; it can be loud. I have only used it a few times only because it is loud. Mine is a little different from the one illustrated.
I have the handy heater and use it in a small space Also it is only good for like small bathrooms when taking showers or heating it for kids to take baths mine. Shut off very frequently I've had it for a short amount of time I do not think it would be my first choice I would not have bought it if I knew it did not work as effectively as seen on TV
The heater is made very cheap. If I set for any hour and it goes off in about 15 minutes. If I just turn on, it lasts longer but, it doesn't heat a 72 sq ft bathroom. Buy a small (8"x5"x7") Polaris. It has been heating a 12'x12' room, all night, for more than 3yrs.
Thx for this review. Been looking for this product just Cuz my. Toes NEVER stop feeling cold. Saved me a few bucks (I'll get another sherpa throw). I I'm so glad you and Endorsement & 2cent cathy are in my life 😆
I just got one of these at home depot today. It did thermally overload after about 20mins on HH (High) and it didnt turn back on. I'm not sure if I got an updated model or not. Thermostat seems to have a wide range for like, turning back on. Say it's set to 72. It might shut off at 70-71. And seems to need a higher temp drop to turn back on, as I have to raise it 2 or 3 degrees to get it to turn back on, on LOW. On high. When it reached temp the whole thing turns off and I couldnt get it back on. Was thinking about modifying it and yanking and looping thermostat. While trying to keep thermal OL on it. Many heaters come factory that do this WITHOUT the thermal. So if it can keep thermal runaway protection then it would be fine I would rec people just buy a normal little black comfort zone 750/1500 heater with a good thermostat for same price. They always work and work well. In that case, if I did mod the thermometer.. its use would be limited to super cool nights/days. Just like we are coming into in the next week. And I'm from N TX
The temperature around the heater itself may differ from that of the other side of the room, causing it to shut off before you want it to. Best bet is to set it at the max, then when the room gets to the temp you want you set the digital thermostat. I do the same with my A/C unit in the summer.
The air circulation is strongly impaired by the position/location of the heatere -- in the corner. Don't you think the air flow will be deflected off the wall and back into the heater?? It will affect the thermostat reading.
*Edit: Sorry I missed your two-month update video linked in the description.* *Keep up the good work!* *Feel free to ignore my original comment.* Why are ratings disabled? If your review technique was bad, then own the mistake. If you're being hit with some bot, let us know in the description. Turning off ratings really looks bad. I haven't watched much of this review yet myself but seeing your try to raise the temperature of a 78 degree bathroom sure seems like a bad test.
@@Freakinreviews I hope you saw my edit. After seeing there was an updated review, I thought maybe the ratings were disabled to encourage people to read the description. I found your channel a few weeks ago and I think you do a great job.
I'm wondering if you got a lemon. I have one that I've been using for the last two winters. I turn it on when I get in the shower, and within 10-15 minutes it heats from 60 to 85. Mine works great every time.
Wow the comments. To be honest with you, My PC is in a room (where I am sat in now) is in a den (small room in the flat where I do all my gaming and TV watching). Basically I'm in this room or in my bedroom asleep. My flat DOESNT have gas central heating and my landlord wont fix my broken night storage heaters, so I have to resort to plug in electric heaters. I have bought so many over the 6yrs of living here. I've got a 425w panel heater that I used to just leave on 24/7, but I cant really afford that. Deffo cannot afford a 1/2kw heater running a few hours every day. I've also got an electric blanket and this "handy heater". The electric blanket costs pennies to run (is only 20w) and is toasty warm in my bed. The 450w "handy heater" is better than the free standing 500w convection heater I also got (It really does heat the room faster, being faster means I can turn it off earlier.) So all I do is heat the "den" room and sleep in my bedroom with the eleccy blanky on. If that cheap, invest in a second eleccy blanky and wrap yourself in it while not sleeping and in front of the TV/PC and do what I do, brave the cold when cooking/using the loo. it doesnt hurt to put on a jacket while cooking for 20 mins if no heating in the kitchen, hell, doing so adds SOME heat to the room while cooking, as for the loo, well thats only a few mins at best unless youre gonna spend hours in there, but doing so means you wont need to turn on the heating at all! OR if that electric blankets are too much (how stringent on money are you?) get a winter rated sleeping bag!!
Very good honest review and, you showed a normal bathroom (thank god). A lot of these products are flooding the market and simply don't work in normal conditions. I used to have a bungalow that had warm air flow central heating and cost a fortune in electricity bills, this seems like it's just on the same lines. Although these units save space I suppose you can't beat a small mobile, oil filled radiator, at least you know the heat is good with those.
Thank you for the message on the Handy Heater. The heater is doing exactly what you said and I am not pleased. It just keeps shutting off. I think they are all the same. It comes from China.
Mine works fine been using it for two years, yes a bit noisy but it doesn’t keep me up. Warms my small attic bedroom with no problem it has no radiator.
2nyceTanya as I said the room I use it in is a converted attic bedroom with no radiator but it is super insulated we had the polar vortex a few week ago with outside temps down to 4 deg F and the room was comfortable. My power bill is not much higher than summer but I guess air conditioning would have to be factored. I do have a plug in power meter some where when I find it I’ll post my exact useage
I had 2 of these, i gave one to my brother and keeping one to myself, its totally trash, it doesnt heat the room one bit, you can only use it just to harm up your hands when you are in very cold days and thats al
This is a "personal" space heater so it's use is highly "proximity" given. It cannot possibly heat a room. It can help an existing heat source of some kind, but it cannot do this on it's own. It works well as a hand warmer when you are in a very cold environment. I just tested that theory. :) It largely is being commented on negatively by those who did not pay much attention in school during science class...
Sounds like some really like it but after your review I’m so glad I took the Free Thin Lizzy Puffy Eye deal and not the Handy Heater because at least for free I will look ten years younger as I would rather look good than be warm or rather cold by your review.
I actually bought one of these maybe 7 months ago. We have a shower room that is an add on to our house. I use it when i shower in there bc it is so much cooler there. I’ve noticed the shut off as well. I stopped being home during quarantine (stayed with my bf) so didn’t get to test it more before it got warm.
At least an honest review. This instead of the TV ad that appears to feature people that just took speed in combination with a joint of marijuana and promote the handy heater as it is the next best thing since the invention of sliced bread.
It doesn't matter what period of the year it is, it's supposed to HEAT and, if it doesn't then it's against Trade Description Acts of most countries. It it's winter and you've already heated up your rooms you may want to raise it a few degrees in one room rather than put the full Central Heating on so in your Analogy the unit should think it's Summer and do the correct action however, it doesn't.
I will add to my comments below, that electric radiant heaters (the kind that "glow and throw" the heat to your body) are something I like if I'm in a chair or confined area, like my kitchen, because they reflect (throw) the heat in my direction, so are more "efficient" in that respect. Don't believe all the advertising balony about "copper, quartz, will heat X000 square feet, infrared, Amish built, maintains natural humidity, etc, etc." You pay for electricity by the watt, and all electric resistance heaters produce 4.3 BTUs per watt.
I'm located in Montreal, went to the pharmacy today where it sells at $24 cdn.Didn't buy it,wanted to check it out on google before, you convinced me in your video, ain't buying that marketing scrap, you saved me time and money, thanks.

I have had mine for over a year and it works great in my bathroom. You have to realize its only 350W so its not gonna heat a huge space.
Thanks. I will save my money with this one. I like how your glasses matched the palm tree.
Thank you for the review. I was going to buy it but not now

Hey man, i'm looking forward to buy one of these, but my question is.
*Is this a good choice for a 3x2 meters in the bathroom ?*
Here in Italy they sell this "Fast Heater" for 29 euro by television advertisements. Thanks guy for your review, you're smart.

like all heaters, their thermostat is interfered with by the heat it produces. You will never have an ambient temperature away from the heater, which reads the same as the thermostat connected to the heater unit. It's just common sense.... which obviously Freakin' Reviews doesn't have... regardless of that, this unit could be defective... hard to know from the video if it's a defective test...
@@knifeyonline,mask please.
I know it's an old video, but i have to say; this tiny heater works great. For what it is. I live in an attic apartment, (3 windows, full kitchen & bath, 2 walk-in closets, around 250 sq. ft.), and it keeps the entire place warm.
I wonder why it works so well for some and horrible for others? 🤔
@@Bea_MelaninAndGodsGrace
I don't know. The only bad thing I can say about it; it really eats electricity.
Are you still alive?
It is now an "internet only" item. Now it's called Insta Heater for $39.98. But you have to buy 4 or more at a time. Thanks for the review. I was almost tempted.
My LED fireplace stopped working so I ordered a Handy Heater but decided to cancel the order because I can buy a similar space heater locally. After watching this video I'm glad I cancelled the order. Thanks for sharing!
I was so close to buying that heater but your review help me make a better decision thank you very helpful video 😊
I got mine for a dollar, on clearance at The Source. I use a extension cord rather than a wall plug but it does okay for a small room.
don't buy this my energy bill went woosh

Might as well heat your room with your hair dryer.
But a hairdryer has 1000 watts .

Just as loud.

@@linokleinmeuleman3348 yeah. A stronger heating element.
Was about to purchase......not now! Thank you for this video!
Thanks for this review. Was going to buy one in my local store but think I'll keep my money now.
The internal thermometer is probably an inch away from the heating element. Of course its locally hotter inside the thing itself....
Wow. I think the public is better off buying a $20 heater from wal mart. The one with legs on it.
Walmart has an excellent electric heater for under 10 bucks. Three heat settings and works great. Highly recommended.
thank you for this honest review- it is appreciated!
I bought this as a way to get away from lager heaters in my tiny house. It didn't work for heating and I had to go back to my larger heater or face being cold all winter. Your right it's a bad product and people shouldn't spend the money to buy a poorly made product made with good intentions.
Good review. I read a bunch of reviews these things are pure trash!
Made in China? I'd never have guessed! The heating element staying on without the fan is LETHAL!!!
as LETHAL as covid..
How?
It is a red led thats still on! The heating element is off!
Hi,
We had ours for about 3 years & we used it mainly in the toilet room for emergency heating in the winter time. So it was used very very little. 🙄
But recently I decided to open it up to clean it (as it was quite dusty inside), but when I reassembled everything the fan stopped working when I turn the unit on. 😕😞
I checked it with a bench power supply & the fan works fine. So I suspect the temperature sensor is the culprit or faulty. 🤔
Still worth the buy (for such the price) in my opinion. We only paid 20 € then. But now you can get it for 14 €. 😏
Best Regards,
I just bought one today Home Depot.
Better call it Handy Burner, you certainly help Firefighters to a busy job.
Thanks for the review.
I agree, and this heater is going to my work office.
I was thinking about buying it. Thanks for the review
thanks for your review. save my money now
Thank you so much for the review!
I seen it on t v & was thinking about getting one cause when I work on the computer like I do
most the time & it's cold my hands get cold, so that's why I was wanting to get one so I could
use it to keep my hands warm here, so I'd have it on a LOW setting on about 70 degrees.
thank you for the info.
Gayle Harrelson
Thanks for a great review!
Congrats on 4 years!
How bout that. Long time ago. Youve come a long way. Thanks!
I was about to buy one online , thanx for changing my mind at the last minute . Subscribed .

Hi, I'm from Chile and I want to know if Handy Heater is really good and if you do not spend a lot of electricity. The question is because I am about to buy
Wow, even if it worked, I couldn't stand that noise for more than ten minutes.
glorified hair dryer....looks dangerous
Steven, I have two and believe it or not they are really safe. I usually set mine to low and away from curtains and beddings. I will say this; it can be loud. I have only used it a few times only because it is loud. Mine is a little different from the one illustrated.
@@lillyvriley9957 how it’s performing I want to use it about 9 hours it’s good?
I'm so glad you and Endorsement & 2cent cathy are in my life 😆
I just got one of these at home depot today.
So if it can keep thermal runaway protection then it would be fine
I would rec people just buy a normal little black comfort zone 750/1500 heater with a good thermostat for same price. They always work and work well.
In that case, if I did mod the thermometer.. its use would be limited to super cool nights/days. Just like we are coming into in the next week.
And I'm from N TX
Yes it does work i have one !!!! They got it right pity they dont do cold air ones.
The temperature around the heater itself may differ from that of the other side of the room, causing it to shut off before you want it to. Best bet is to set it at the max, then when the room gets to the temp you want you set the digital thermostat. I do the same with my A/C unit in the summer.
If it is ceramic, then that's why the coils stay red the ceramic plates should help maintain the heat a bit longer.
The air circulation is strongly impaired by the position/location of the heatere -- in the corner. Don't you think the air flow will be deflected off the wall and back into the heater?? It will affect the thermostat reading.

Why are ratings disabled?
If your review technique was bad, then own the mistake. If you're being hit with some bot, let us know in the description. Turning off ratings really looks bad.
I haven't watched much of this review yet myself but seeing your try to raise the
temperature of a 78 degree bathroom sure seems like a bad test.

A legend was born
I'm wondering if you got a lemon. I have one that I've been using for the last two winters. I turn it on when I get in the shower, and within 10-15 minutes it heats from 60 to 85. Mine works great every time.
If you hate the heater you bought, don't worry, you'll...warm up to it.
Thanks for the honest review mate ❤️
I have these they do work. I use them on a narrowboat to take the chill off. It defo works.
OR if that electric blankets are too much (how stringent on money are you?) get a winter rated sleeping bag!!
you must have a defective one. i got one that works fine. use in bedroom that is coldest in house.
I have one of these in my bathroom and it works great. But I live out in the middle of nowhere in a very old house.
I used it in my bathroom and it broke ? I wonder why . Maybe the steam ?
Thank you for the message on the Handy Heater. The heater is doing exactly what you said and I am not pleased. It just keeps shutting off. I think they are all the same. It comes from China.
Same with mine..
Mine works correctly as it is supposed to even after two Winter's of keeping my 18 wheeler warm!!
Mine works fine been using it for two years, yes a bit noisy but it doesn’t keep me up. Warms my small attic bedroom with no problem it has no radiator.
Andres Wynter how is the damage to your light bill?
2nyceTanya as I said the room I use it in is a converted attic bedroom with no radiator but it is super insulated we had the polar vortex a few week ago with outside temps down to 4 deg F and the room was comfortable. My power bill is not much higher than summer but I guess air conditioning would have to be factored. I do have a plug in power meter some where when I find it I’ll post my exact useage
I had 2 of these, i gave one to my brother and keeping one to myself, its totally trash, it doesnt heat the room one bit, you can only use it just to harm up your hands when you are in very cold days and thats al
Thanks this really helped
This is a "personal" space heater so it's use is highly "proximity" given. It cannot possibly heat a room. It can help an existing heat source of some kind, but it cannot do this on it's own. It works well as a hand warmer when you are in a very cold environment. I just tested that theory. :)
It largely is being commented on negatively by those who did not pay much attention in school during science class...
Good review
The only thing that heater will do, is overheat your electric socket, not much more.
I use this in my 20 ft RV. Works well.
You just don't get it, folks!!!!! This IS NOT A WINTER heater!!! This IS A SUMMER heater!!!!! How simple.
Who the fuck needs a heater in the summer?
Exactly. Try leaving the heater in a cold room for more than 15 minutes. No one uses a heater in 75 degree temps.
@@Dam982 lol
@@Dam982 I think he was joking bruh.

Hahaha! Your already in a warm area trying to get warmer! Also if it is 20 degrees out it is harder to get up to even 70....
