- these were fun to make although I was hoping to be able to taste the lemonade - they were really delicious, so light and fluffy which maybe what the lemonade bubbles do.

Oh my god Kerry they look absolutely lush 😊😋
So yummy Pauline😋😋😋
Hi Kerry, I make these regularly and absolutely delicious 😋 have a lovely weekend ❤
Thank you Sandra👋😀💕you too!
Such a unusual ingredient to use. They looked delicious off to buy some lemonade.
apparently it's the science of the fizz reacting with the baking powder producing light and fluffy scones! I never knew but the comments section proved how good it is in providing answers😀👍💕
I wish I could bake like you Kerry everything I try to bake turns to mush, lol 😂 I will have a go at this, Have a fantastic weekend much love David.
Aww you too David😀👍💕
Hi Kerry when I make these I only use flour double cream and lemonade and they always come out great although it’s a very sticky mixture.
I've never heard of lemonade being used til someone in a previous foodi vlog mentioned lemonade bread, then on that one Lemonade scones were mentioned. Do the bubbles do something? Mine were so light, boys loved them (as did we lol)
@@budgetcookinguk I like making them because there’s less sugar than in a normal recipe as my husband is a diabetic and has to be really careful. I have no idea about the bubble’s.
@@mariapollock9231 someone said the bubbles and baking powder react creating light and fluffy scones! Will def try without sugar next time😀👍
Hello Kerry, I just got my cosori oven I think it's neat, love it. I'm going to try these soon. Hope you're getting settled in.👍🏼😀💝
Thank you Christine👋😀💕its now over a week and definitely feeling more settled (which is lovely!)
What a great idea reusing the cereal packets!
It really works, quick wash, hang to dry and fold away til needed, food grade plastic 😀👍
A really interesting recipe. Thank you 😊 I might give them a try using Greek yoghurt as I usually have that in the fridge.
That sounds good Alyson, I love using greek yogurt in flour based recipes. Apparently the fizz reacts with the baking powder, creating a light n fluffy scone!😀👍💕
Hi Kerry, guess what I'm making for a treat tomorrow😁 They looked so good, I can't resist😂 Have a great weekend, byee 👋Jen 💕😘xx
Another one to try !!!!! 😂
Oh those look so tasty Kerry,I would spread butter on first then the jam and a nice layer of clotted cream on top 😋Carol likes the cream first then the jam,I would like one of those ovens but I only have a small kitchen and like you I need to cover my hob to give me more work space,I have thought about taking out my built in oven beneath the hob and fitting one of those air fryer ones in it's place as it's only used for storage now, another great video Xx
I'm jam first Ricky 😄👍 I'm constantly playing Airfryer tetris, moving them about. Best thing I did was cover my hob
Hi Kerry, Oooo lovely I’m definitely going to try these . They look lovely Kerry. From Linda C ❤😊
Thank you Linda👋😀💕💕💕
Evening Kerry, Oh, I've not made these for ages. I make mine in my tower which is my one with the shelves. These smell and taste how I remembered my Grans scones. She was a fantastic Baker and always had something on the go, and the smell when you walked in her house was mouthwatering. Your recipe is slightly different to the one I used. I will have to try yours out. Xxxxx 💚♥️
Aww I bet she was Jacs, I used to love my grans cooking. It was you who put me on to lemonade scones if I remember correctly! Flippin delish, couldn't taste lemonade directly but so soft and fluffy. Hope you 3 lovelies have a fab weekend 🥰🥰🥰
@budgetcookinguk She used to do meringue teas for CHAS, she would make all the meringues and homemaking herself, she was amazing. It's great that we have these memories that we can share, Kerry 💖. Yeah, it was me. 🙋♀️ I think we had the same conversation about our Grans as I remember you mentioning a sideboard 🤔. Thank you so much Kerry, hope you all have a fantastic weekend & can't wait for updates on the car xxxx 💚♥️
They turned out great. I’ve just treated myself to the oven. It was a deal on Amazon. I got £50 off so I went for it. I’ll have to have a go at them 😋😋😁🥰
That's fab, darn good discount you got😀👍👍
So mean of you to teaspoon jam and whipped cream on to a freshly baked warm scone in front of us! Watching this video on my iPhone propped up on the pillow as I try to go to sleep. Going to have to go buy scone ingredients tomorrow! 🤗
😂I know, I'm evil lol😛
I’ve been planning on making these for ages, but kept forgetting to buy lemonade! I was surprised it was cream and not butter. I’ve never made scones without butter so looking forward to trying that too. Xxx
That was me Tina😄👍 took me ages to finally get hold of that can - kept forgetting!!
Wonderful recipe Kerry, thank you for testing and sharing. I get fat every time i watch your videos😂😂😂. Wonderful step by step guide thank you❤
😂aww thank you💕💕
My recipe. Four cups of SR flour, 300ml of double cream, Australian double cream does have gelatine in it. One can of lemonade. Works well
❤ your clock has a very loud tick haha scones look lovely
Thank you Pat😄it is a bit noisy
I must be honest when you made them I was a bit unsure, however the finished scones looked lovely. Was it a taste sensation hehe.
Jam first (Cornish way) otherwise you can't spread the jam on top of the cream...you just get a dollop of jam lol. I have endless arguments with my daughter who went to university in Plymouth so insists on the (Devon) cream first 🙄 Either way your scones look delicious!
Absolutely!
Ooo she got spoilt by them there devonshire ways. I'm jam first, it just makes sense lol😀👍💕
wow looks good now you have to make cheesy ones lol
Ooh yes! Cheese scones - off to add to my 'to do' list😄👍
jam first
Can’t see the point of the lemonade just extra sugar but they do look good xx
Someone else in the comments said it's the reaction between the lemonade fizz and the baking powder making the scones very light and fluffy, which they were. I wasn't sure why til above was explained. Makes sense now
You have lucky kids Kerry! Can you adopt me? 🤣
😂😂 I'll sort the paperwork phil😂😂
Lol... I brushed mine with egg and they just won't go brown hahaha
Hi Kerry, they look delicious, i was looking at the recipe and it says 120g of lemonade well usually on the tins it says 330 ml. So how much do you think i should use. I really like your oven mitt, where did your daughter get it. I did look through your list in case there was a link for it
Hi Sandra👋😀💕 the recipe I was following said 120g/120ml althou I actually forgot and freestyled pouring in the lemonade, so I guessimate I poured in about 290ml out of a 330ml can! Had to add copious amounts of SR flour to compensate🤦♀️😄 it all worked out in the end. Will ask my daughter where she got the mitts from, they are v pretty with flecks of colour plus no more burnt fingers!💕💕
What sort of Greek yogurt and what % to use 0 or full in stead of cream
There isn't greek yoghurt in this recipe - it's double cream but you could substitute the cream for greek or normal yoghurt👍
I make lemonade scones all the time. I am surprised you added sugar to your mix. There is alot of sugar in the lemonade so they don't need it.
Hi Jan, was following a specific recipe🤷♀️but next time will omit👍
hi kerry, is it flat tablespoon or rounded?
Hi👋😀15g, round tbsp👍👍
Do you think ginger ale would work instead of lemonade?
I think it would 😀👍ginger ale is fizzy? Have never drank it☺️
Were the as light as they looked?
They were, so light, maybe the bubbles did that? Think I need to try a traditional scone recipe soon😄👍
Hi Kerry, they look you delicious 🙏 just wondering if you can help me! I have a problem with my cosior air fryer 😢 is there a website that I can contact. Love your plot 25 . Hope you have a great 2024 🌹
Oh no! Hope you get it sorted, try this email, hopefully they can help👍support.eu@cosori.com
Is it healthy to use lemonade? Lemonade contains a lot of sugar or am I wrong?
Scone recipes don't tend to come under 'healthy' more special treat, like cakes - which also have sugar as a main ingredient.
@@budgetcookinguk true, thanks
Can we get a printed recipe please?
Hi👋😀email me and I will attach a pdf. budgetcookinguk@gmail.com it's also pinned top of the comments and in the description 👍
Hi, Probably get away with using fizzy water ATB Glen
My recipe is, 4 cups of self raising flour, 300m double cream, one can of lemonade.
Hi Kerry differently jam first for me.they look soooo good
Me too Lois, jam first always😄👍hope you have a lovely weekend! X
