Hiya lovely's 💕 I made these this morning and theres only 3 left 😂 I think when I make the next batch I'll add 1-2 more minutes for the fruit ones but the plain were perfect. Let me know what you all think on the times and temperatures 💜xx
I've never thought about grating your butter to go in the scone mixture, that's genius & a game changer! Also using the flat side of the cutter instead of the scalloped edge to cut out the scones & adding a squirt of lemon juice.........amazing! Thank you so much x
Just got my 2 drawer Ninja and loved this video as scones were going to be my first attempt at using it. You made it look simple so thank you for a brilliant 'real life' video - I'm inspired !
hi lindz i have never ever made scones in my life as i,m 78 and just starting to learn how to cook i, came across your video for scones .so i,m of to the shop to get ingrediants and give it ago this arfo will make further comments after tasting .cheers for now henry
The scones look amazing Lindz,I do miss baking,my little Granddaughter Heidi and I made chocolate cup cakes from a box mix a few weeks ago(well it was supposed to be us but it ended up Papa was left to make them) and they turned out great and that's the first time I have used the air fryer to bake, because my wife Carol is at a slimming club we don't tend to eat anything like that unless she is on a slimming break,I'm looking forward to the school holidays when we will be watching her most days to let her mum and dad work so maybe we will make some scones etc, thanks for that tutorial flower, another great video Xx
Ricky, your comments really warm my heart ❤️ My grandad was an amazing man but never a domestic. My memories are picking stones out of the garden, ready for the potatoes to be planted 🤣🤣 I'm going to have to see if I can find some slimming world treats I've been asked a few times. Have a great day Ricky x
@@LindzandLife Heidi will be 9 on Tuesday Lindz and she has me wrapped round her little finger but I wouldn't have it any other way,she loves art and crafting with me and baking with her mum,It's not unusual for me to have two air fryers going at one end of the kitchen making dinner and the glue gun cardboard and scissors at the other end as Heidi will have come up with a project that has to be done before her mum picks her up 🤣🤣 I just love making memories 🥰Xx
Thank you Lindz, ace video. I tried the fruit scones found they needed more cooking time so was popping them back in till done, they were tasty. Next time I'll cook for longer or maybe try them at a slightly hotter temp.
Hi Linda your scones looked really lovely the plain scones were our favourite we don't like fruit scones but they cooked really well in the air fryer much quicker than oven l use to make them in the oven but will make some in the air fryer has we are in the middle of moving so once we have settled in our new home l will be making scones again l have done sponge cake in the air fryer on bake for 45 minutes at 140 to 150 depending on the make of air fryer
I love your videos! ❤ I’m new to the world of air frying (but not to cooking) and keen to learn. Only had my AF a couple of days and looking forward to making some of these treats. Just FYI, Scottish folk call them “scons” I was married to a Scotsman for 40 years, that’s how I know.
I make scones and put them on to bake at 180 for 10 minutes they have been cooked through every time the only thing I do different is to shape the dough into a circle and cut into 6 triangles there is no excess handling of the dough and no waste,
Tremendous stuff Lindz .... at one point I thought you were knocking out ice hockey pucks. Only one way to eat these little beauties where I live - don't bother with butter, just get a slab of clotted cream and trowel a splat on, with strawberry jam on top .... not the other way around because that is classed as a major crime here in God's own county - Devon. Ahhh ..... it's got to be 'scone' with an E and not 'scon' which still has an E but some people just can't say how things are spelt - kinda weird I suppose.
Thanks for sharing they looked yummy I’m with you I don’t like fruit scones, my favourite scone is a cheese and chive with powdered mustard for extra flavour. Can’t help with timings etc as not cooked scones in my air fryer but will follow your recipe and timings could you turn them to get the bottoms browned? 🤗😋
Hi Ann 💜 I'm trying to get some gluten-free flour so I can try out some recipes lovely. From what I've read, it's the same amounts if using it to replace normal flour. But I'm not sure of you do have a go. I'd love to know how they come out x
I hope you can make them in the smaller one the Ninja foodi af300 dual airfryer, because thats the one I have room for and I’m only one person. And thats the one I’m thinking of buying.
Just caught this and refer to the Lemon Juice, wondering if it is necessary. I only make cheese scones with great success in the A/F. If it is necessary, could you use a little vinegar in instead of L/J?
Frozen scones that's a new one for me George 😉 I've often froze my own but never seen then to buy from frozen. I'd love to go shopping where you are and see all the wonderful things you can buy there 💜 Have a great day George and take care x
I was raised in a working class home and pronounced scones to rhyme with stones. "scons" was an upper class pronunciation. That was 60 years ago. Now? Who cares?
Hi Lindz, I hope your okay, your scones looked really lovely. Could I be a pain and ask you to send me the receipe either on here or Instagram please. The cake tins are brilliant aswell, I just use a box mix 🙈😅. Take care love Sarah ❤❤
Hi Sarah 💜 Lovely to hear from you. I mentioned all the ingredients and amounts in the video lovely, life is so busy at the moment, I haven't got the brain space for Instagram 🤣x
@@LindzandLifeHi Lindz, sorry that's my fault not listening properly and knitting and watching you at the same time 😂. I'll watch it again and write them down. Take care love Sarah ❤❤
I am a long 'o' pronounce person. I always thought posh people called them short 'o' thingys. :-) It occurs to me that you could make them ALL the last ones, in that you take a ball of dough and flatten them a little, as you did the last one instead of cutting them out. btw, I have no idea what I am talking about I rarely bake. Mind you I suppose that may make them 'Rock Cakes'. The only problem I see with your recipe is that it need doubling cos they would only last me a couple of days, Three max.

I'm in the South and have always said scone as in gone, not scone as in bone, that would sound strange
