The tireless staff of TX2K burned the midnight oil to push through all rounds possible for a smooth day of eliminations on Sunday! Racers have been acquiring data, dialing in their tunes, and preparing for the final day of TX2K where things are going to get truly interesting. @@hondafrk actually they are still good.. it's all the tuning my boss drives a 2600 whp gtr to work 2-3 days a week all summer and cruises everywhere... There are multiple horsepower settings you can't use more than half the hp on the street anyways ya know

Man the Street Car class will NEVER get old for me... I can watch exotics go 200+ all day without batting an eye, but I'm always on the edge of my seat for practically every match up in Street and Stick classes.

I nearly destroyed two car after the same thing happened during a Friday night Test-N-Tune at Baytown. How I did not hit the other car I don't know. There was inches between my front bumper and his back bumper.

Pretty sure that was Alejandro Flores he has a RUclips channel and works for Lund racing. He is the one that really worked hard before anyone else to get the word spread about the rpm act. He gets a pass if that was him. Without him nobody was saying shit about what the epa was doing. There is no more events like this if the the rpm act don’t make it.
@@firefly2472 The best one I've seen to date is the track manager of our local dragstrip pull a wheelie to the fkn moon in his XB Falcon, held it to about 100 feet, it came down so hard it punched the drain plug out and he oiled from about 120 feet all the way through the shutoff at the other end
It takes a special amount of money to have a dedicated drag car. It takes an even more special amount of money to have an exotic like a lambo. And it takes a shit ton of money to have a lambo that you turn into a drag car.

I don't own a Mazda Miata, but old school folks probably remember the Monster Miata fun that happened back in the 90's era. They weren't designed for straight lines, but it's pretty cool to see big meats behind one that runs low ET's.

@@thyself9258 Ya, I know, but that wasn't really relevant as it's an entirely custom rear suspension setup, that seems to work quite well. James can't do anything about his short wheelbase but getting the rear to lift might help.

What amazes me is that most folks don't run fire-suppression. I thought it was required for the longest time. I mean back in the 90s we ran Halon on a pull line that was setup to dump trans-engine-fuel zones of the car. Which was pull and hold your breath. But over and over again I see cars burn when they really shouldn't. Cooper did the RIGHT thing in getting the fire suppression equipment in the car. Worth EVERY penny.

My point is he didnt pull off when obviously something was wrong. Track etiquette 101, if something feels wrong, pull off to the side and stop. Dont coast all the way to the turn around and then look at it.
