I used to have the comic featured on the right page in 4:10 along with some of the issues of the exile storyline (or as I used to refer to it "Superman in space"). I never did get to find out how it ended, but thanks to this book I finally can. This book defiantly hits the nostalgia nerve for me.
Saw this at my shop back on Wednesday and considered getting it. You've just convinced me! I just hope it's still there when I go after work tomorrow lol
Luthor was overweight since Byrne rebooted Superman with the six issue "Man of Steel" series. TBH, I'm surprised DC hasn't done a Superman by John Byrne omnibus yet. They've released most, if not all, of his run in softcover trades a few years back. I find it strange they haven't gone the omnibus route for his run.
Same here -- and considering that we're starting to see even more creator-driven DC omnibuses getting announced (including the upcoming _Batman by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale_ Omnibus), it wouldn't shock me if they eventually do release a "Superman by John Byrne" Omnibus before too much longer, here. Although part of me would hate to lose the Marv Wolfman/Jerry Ordway issues of the immediate post-Crisis Byrne-era, since they were co-plotted by Byrne himself and in many cases tied into Byrne's own storylines.
thx for the video, I wanted to see more of this book. I almost bought it off instocktrades but held back. Cash flow wasn't flowing so I had to wait. I might get it yet, I am a big Superman fan. I love JLeague Rebirth right now. Thx again for the video and have a great day.
More like late 80s stories. It looks like it covers everything from Byrne's exit (1988), to the creation of the Fortress of Solitude by the Eradicator Device (1990).
Ordway... most underrated artist ever.
“Exile” and the origin of the eradicator are superb story arcs for Superman
The cover art is from Kerry Gammill.

That is one fine-looking cover, alright. Is it sewn binding or (again) glued binding 5:22? Thank for the video.
Sewn. You can see the page signatures and the page block has separated from the spine, like it should.
Thanks. Yes, I noticed. Somehow I never expect DC to do a good job.
Maybe you can help me out. I’m looking a Superman omnibus that has the story Up InThe Sky in it. The artist is Andy Kubert.
Will you be reviewing the Action Comics 80 years of Superman deluxe hardcover?
Tam Samuel unfortunately no, neither Matt nor myself picked it up or are planning to
Hey Mike, is this after the John Byrne hardcovers out now? Or before death of superman?
This omnibus covers the issues leading up to death of Superman!
Does it only contain the 90s stories?
