The shiny looks beautiful in the GC games too~ Also, about the sparkles that surround Vaporeon in the GC games, they're also present in the old Stadium games for the N64! I remember that being the case, seeing as I constantly played Pokemon Stadium at my babysitter's growing up lol. From what I could see, it seems like a lot of the Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon models used for Stadium and Stadium 2 during the N64 days were reused for Colo and XD. I think Articuno was another Pokemon that happened to sparkle in the Stadium/Stadium 2 models and were still used for the GC games as well! As for why the sparkles are there, I'm honestly not sure, but it *is* pretty to see! I assume it's mostly something to be interpreted due to the Pokedex entries on this Eeveelution? Almost all of Vaporeon's Pokedex entries primarily mention "its cell structure is similar to water molecules" which allow it to "melt away and become invisible in water". There's also equally consistent mentions on how it mutated in order to live in the water, how they are able to freely control water, how if their fins vibrate that it's a sign that it will rain soon, and most interestingly in this case, "Its long tail is ridged with a fin which is often mistaken for a mermaid's". Those particular aspects could definitely be a reason why the people who made this particular model of Vaporeon took some "creative liberty" and made this Eeveelution sparkle~ Granted that's just my interpretation, but the sparkles do really add a nice touch, especially to the shiny version of this model!
Amazing addition to this, I really enjoyed your interpretation! I love that a few other Pokémon seem to have this sparkly aura as well (Articuno as you mentioned), kinda makes me wonder how many there are that sparkle like this! I might do some researches on this, thanks again for the congrats! 😄

Very nice shiny! Congrats! I am wondering though, since this was possible to catch due to the Pomeg berry glitch- is that what causes the incorrect “met level” at? The Vaporeon was level 57 but on the summary screen it says met at level 5. I wonder if that’s a side effect of the light corruption done by the glitch? If you (or the original save file owner/Olig) knows, it’d be cool to know why! Again congratulations on the great shiny! ^_^
That's a great question! The reason actually has nothing to do with the pomeg berry glitch, it's just that the game never was programmed to contain information about Pokémon caught in the battle Pyramid (since you can't find Pokeballs in there naturally). So what the game does is when you actually catch Pokémon in there, it searches for the closest values and puts it on the summary. There is no location tag "Battle Pyramid", so the location is set to "Battle Frontier" in the summary. And because the game does not keep track of the level of the caught Pokémon from the BP, it just sets the level to the first "default" level value, which is 5 (in Gen 3, there is no level 1 Pokémon, also eggs hatch lvl 5 Pokémon). So the reason for that is basically just because of how the game is programmed. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for the congrats as well man! 😄

Dude congrats on the Shiny Vaporeon! :D Totally think you should use this for Shiny Living Dex, by means of a glitch (and not cheating or hacking) I don't think Shinies obtained through the Battle Pyramid should be counted out. The means of being obtained in a unique PokeBall other than a Standard PokeBall like Pokemon like Shiny Charizard for instance in a Luxury Ball instead of a normal PokeBall is just super cool and shouldn't be shamed upon and you shouldn't worry about people telling you it doesn't count because the means of obtaining it wasn't legit, glitching isn't hacking so it passes in my book, congrats dude!

Glitches are possible with the games code provided by no one else than Game Freak themselves, so I for myself am fine with anything that's possible just with the game cartridge itself!
