I'm making 588 whp on a GT3582R dual ball bearing turbo on a built LSVTEC at 22 psi. I started with a bone stock B18B1 with an eBay turbo kit, but I put head studs and a new Cometic gasket. It made 306 on 18 psi on 93 octane. I bought another B18B1 and ported and polished the head, put BC stage 2 turbo cams in it, BC dual valve springs with titanium retainers, Skunk 2 intake manifold, Skunk 2 70mm throttle body, I freshened up the bottom end with NPR rings and ACL Race bearings, and it made 100 whp more 412 whp on 20 psi on a PR4 stock bottom end. Not bad for a non-VTEC. My LSVTEC has a B18B1 block with a Civic Type-R head with GSR cams. I love my Hondas. I wish I could have kept my DA9 though. I loved that car. I have an EJ8 Civic coupe now.

I'll be honest and say that I don't know much about how cams function and what's the best cam to use for a boosted high horsepower setup, but these GSR cams have responded best amongst the OEM Honda camshafts. I bought a CTR and an ITR head and they're actually both the same casting and have the same valvetrain, and I'm sure that I could get some better cams to use in this CTR head, but until I'm shooting to make much more power than 588 at the wheels, then these GSR cams will work fine. I'm only pushing 22 psi through this engine, so to make 588 at the wheels is impressing enough to me. I've seen some K series engines that don't make that much at 22 psi out of a GT3582R. Besides, even though I have almost $14k into this car with all of the mods, it's still a budget build in my mind.

I made close with 400 on my stock bottom end with only those same cams and a blox manifold my data log said there a spike to 26 psi when it threw a rod out the front of the block. I plan on putting forged eagle rods and low compression weisco pistons in it running some dual valve springs for the cams with ported heads and bigger lighter valves
DB2 Alex just make sure you get a real good Dyno tune because the sleeves will crack easy at any boost level also the ringlands if it knocks alot but they will hold power on a perfect tune

No complete stock b20 bottom end I’m running 10 psi currently Iv crack a couple blocks already due to self mistakes I recommend a good tune and a quality wastegate so u don’t over boost! B18 will handle more boost then a b20 I’ll say 350 is still safe anything more is pushing it

It is a b20 high comp to also I have a video explaining my set up one thing I highly recommend is to get a good wastegate I first went with a cheap one and over boosted and blew my motor

Terrible. My stock b20vtec turbo made 353whp on 13psi on pump gas. Completely stock head and block. Xspower ramhorns, gt3582 turbo. Skunk2 manifold. And that's it. Tuned on chrome

@@db2alex746 yeah I have a small black intercooler, with a better turbo mani and turbo you'll make way more power. Those log manifolds and the 50trim turbos aren't that great. I'm sure you'll make good power soon!
I'm running stock ctr or itr head I haven't looked but i have stock b20z vtec turbo internals 450cc injectors mine has Godspeed intercooler greddy type r Bov skunk2 camgears 9psi TNT log manifold wlb255 and I'm adjusting first gen s300 in it with monster turbo off a diesel it would run with 2010 gsxr750 on a chipped ecu been sick so haven't finished everything have other stuff dart engine another ctr or itr head k series stuff F series H series mugen , spoon sports and other stuff but come back home from hospital and people had stolen stuff and it's hard to get back real jdm parts I had a brain tumor and alot more stuff wrong but im recovering but it takes along time from where the Drs didn't know from when i was a kid I'm not just saying and I'm only person that's made it out of 5 people that were sick as me the others died I had to learn how to walk talk eat and all again its ruff but I'm still fighting I try to get in touch with some people and garages and just tell them but nobody ever gets back at me they just hearts or whatever the stuff you do, because I dnt really talk to anybody anymore because only a few people come around when I needed help I helped everybody and no one helped me so I just get on youtube Wi-Fi sometimes and see what people say and happens nobody says get get at us or at me check out the garage or shop if you feel like it you need any parts etc.You all get me i dnt have Twitter and Facebook etc cause it's drama people talk crap and I need a new phone and 5lug 32mm for my hatch but I can't even get disability because I didn't make so many hundred thousand dollars by a certain date but some how other people get it but I am going threw this and i just hope I can get better and I make progress or something happens good I never wish this on anyone "HONDAS 4 LIFE" I live on the east coast first car was 1985 crx HF one owner like the mugen one then I had toget a rx7 because rotary but had tunes of crxs, hatches and more but had to spend alot of money on Drs bills and meds so it's either live or die but it sucks when you see people doing what you wanted to do to the car or run it in the ground keep it ."51/50💦"

Yes its a great engine to boost. Stock they handle 300-350 hp. Im boosting my b16 but im throwing some pistons and rods to do 450+hp
