    • @niconicouana
      @niconicouana 6 лет назад +6

      I have it too, but not with nerve entrapment. May I suggest you try throwing a plastic water bottle in the freezer and using that (instead of a lacrosse ball, for instance) to sit and roll your foot/feet over, daily? It's incredibly good for plantar's fasciitis and has helped me a lot. The ice in the bottle numbs your foot a bit, while you roll it around. Feels great and no danger. :)

      oh I hear you !!! I had it for three years, nothing worked. Then a friend who had it so bad in both feet that she was using a walker, recommended a physiotherapist. A month of firm pressure massage and me doing a lot of exercises involving a lacrosse ball and two foam wedges and it has been gone for over two years. Best feeling EVER! Still working on losing the weight I packed on while I could barely walk...

    So I have been running for about 7 years. During the first six months of the pandemic, I ran over 500 miles. I don’t do group races/marathons, but I do like to compete with myself, breaking personal records, etc. I guess I got a little carried away as we got deeper into the pandemic, pushing myself to do at least one 10K run per week, always trying to beat my time from the week before. Late November/early December, I starting noticing pain in my foot when I would run. Doc says X-rays didn’t indicate a break anywhere and instructed me to take a little time off and then to shorten my runs. Impatiently, I took only a 10 day break, hit the pavement only to find the pain was still there and felt even worse. So I did a little research and found that stress fractures are likely the cause of my pain, especially since they don’t show up in X-rays, at least not until weeks after initial injury. So I knew then it would be at least a couple months before I would even attempt to run again. I wanted to make sure I stay as active and as strong as I can during the interim, so I googled: “how to workout with a foot injury”And low and behold, there you were, Caroline Jordan!! Nice to meet you, Caroline, my name is Aimee. (By the way, my youngest daughter’s name is Caroline and you look so much like one of her best friends, whose name is, actually, Jordan!!! Lol 😂
    I’ve been using your workouts almost every morning since I found you! So first of all: Thank you, thank you, thank you for what you do! I appreciate your sincere and thoughtful guidance through this.
    Second of all, (and this part of my comment is because you ask us to comment on this during your videos) I want to say that over the past few weeks, while I’ve really liked the workouts and can feel that they are challenging me to keep me strong and/or make me stronger, I have been grieving the loss of the sweat factor that came with running. I’m used to coming home from a run, stripping out of my clothes, and throwing them into the washer wetter than they are when they come out! Most of your workouts, chair and otherwise, barely even left me damp. And you often say on your videos “I’m already sweating!” and I’m always like, “she must have the heater on over there!!!!” Lol 😂 So I was ever on the hunt for a workout that really left me feeling like I had worked for something! Then yesterday I found this video!!! Finally! I started to sweat! This morning I actually did it twice in a row so that I could really feel like I worked hard. I was happy to finally have to wipe my forehead to keep sweat out of my eyes. It wasn’t like running, but it’s the closest I’ve gotten so far! So, you asked for feedback, I’m giving it! I’m fairly new to, not only, Caroline Jordan fitness, but also to RUclips. You are actually the first time I “subscribed” to something on RUclips... honestly, don’t even know what that means, but you told me to do it, so!!!! 😂 Being a newbie at all this, I dont know how to find out if you have more videos like this that have an elevated sweat factor, but if there aren’t and you are looking on feedback for what kind of videos to add: I would like videos that are geared to someone like me who wants to feel like they tore it up during their workout and left drops of sweat under their chair cardio spot!! Or any other style of your foot injury workouts! I hope my feedback doesn’t come across as demanding, I just always hear you ask for feedback telling you what we think, so I hope you know that’s why I wrote this request. I feel confident there are people out there who are far stronger and far more athletic than me who also would like a safe but intense workout while healing from injury. Again, thank you so much for your videos, Caroline!!! You look great, by the way! I would love to be as cute and tiny yet STRONG as you are!! You’re adorable! It’s very obvious that you love what you do!

    June 2018 had a sanders 2 and navicular ankle break. 12 screws and a plate. Use to run 4 mile 6 days a week. I’m 61. Former Sgt USMC. My wife did vids like this and I would laugh. After a month of depression, I needed something cardio, something to make me sweat. Seeing someone in recovery with a positive attitude and a plan was inspirational and motivating. I do one of these vids everyday and this Marine smiles when I throw a sweaty T-shirt in the hamper. Thanks and speedy recovery to all. Simper Fi.

    This is the best! I have bad ankles that restricts me from most stand up exercise routines. I couldn’t believe how this chair cardio had me sweating in a few short minutes! This chair cardio is so good that I am going to start doing this every morning and evening. It’s only 20 minutes, which is the recommended daily minimum. As Americans some of us have so much trouble with weight. This quick and effective routine should be mandatory for all, especially in this Pandemic. This routine should have its own channel on cable TV that just runs all day. I can’t believe how much I sweat! This routine is the bomb.com. I am 62 and if I can do it, anyone can. In fact, it is a good routine for seniors as well. I am glad I found it, 😅

    Hey, I'm a wheelchair user AND I broke my foot and ankle two months ago. Whelp, I gained an astounding 30 pounds after surgery, which bums me out beyond belief because I lost 130 pounds after gaining weight the first time after my spinal surgery 6 years ago! I worked too hard to get that weight off!! I can't do everything since I'm partially paralyzed, but I'm adapting and adding soup cans to stuff like the jumping jacks for added difficulty. It's really hard to find seated workouts just for people that are paralyzed or can't use their legs, so it would be great to see a workout that people can do without the use of our legs and such. Thank you for having so many great exercises for those of us having to sit down!!

      Thank you for posting! I am a fitness instructor and had Achilles reconstruction surgery 10 days ago...this was the longest I had not worked out since I had my youngest 11 years ago! I enjoyed the workout and can't wait to try more!!! I'm still only 50% weight bearing on my foot with crutches so the chair was great!!! I also have chronic low back pain due to scoliosis, so anything to help that or core strengthening would be helpful too!

    Finally! I'm 72, I've been an active outdoors person (fell running, hiking, rock-climbing) all my adult life but a climbing accident ten years ago, and the ensuing COR (=Carry On Regardless) behaviour exacerbated the ankle injury until, two years ago, the pain and symptoms changed and magnified enormously. I found a medical practitioner (fell runner) who gave me remedial treatment, brought back flexibility to the damaged ankle but the years of COR have caused nerve damage and I can NOT run any more. I need some extra cardio exercise and this video of yours seems to be exactly what I need. THANK YOU!

    I just hope my heart doesn't get sore. 'Cause it's Valentine's Day, you know. :))

    I'm a really active person, my brain can't function properly without physical movement. I tore all the tendons in my knee and I'm waiting for surgery. This cardio was so great, I got to move, raise my heart rate and best of all your positive attitude and energy made me laugh! Thank you! I look forward to using this video on a daily basis!

    THANK YOU!!!! I fell and twisted my ankle & fractured my fibula and thought I was done for 6 weeks and sooo depressed. Then I found your workout! Your coaching is funny, insightful, I love the options you give when you cannot move your foot and overall it's just pure fun! I would normally hit the pool with a buoy between my legs and drag and I did not ever think I would ever do a chair workout but with COVID and everything closed, I am so grateful for your workout. My heart rate went up and I feel great, cannot wait to do it again tomorrow!

    At 48, I had to have a partial knee replacement -- it did not go well, so I had to have another to repair. I have been feeling so horrible as I can't move well at all. I found these videos a few weeks ago and have been doing one every day or so. Oh my goodness, I feel so much better just for doing something physical! Thank you!!! I hope it helps me get in better shape for when I can finally walk without pain again...Thank you!!!

Within only a week of my second stress fracture this year, your positive, encouraging, attitude and high-energy workouts have made non-running life a bit more tolerable. Thank you! Getting ready to box first thing tomorrow like someone stole my race training ... but gave me a fantastic speed back-up plan :)

    i've struggled with my mental health for years, and i found that working out has really helped me in coping with that. tho i recently injured my foot so i've been really limited in what exercise i can do, which has been difficult. these chair workouts are life savers, letting me feel challenged while respecting what my body needs. thank you so much :)

    Thank you Caroline. I have had surgery on my big toe joint a week ago. As a BRCA survivor I need to exercise every day, and my mental health and mood both depend on it as well! I have now done three of your chair cardio workouts and I am so glad to have found them / you. Your positive, upbeat spirit makes me feel great. I think my family probably thank you as well! I am now able to feel good and keep up my exercise regime during my recovery.
