I almost cried watching your videos. I have horrible plantar fasciitis with nerve entrapment. I felt like I couldn't do the workouts I wanted. I can't even walk some days. Thank you soooooo much !
I have it too, but not with nerve entrapment. May I suggest you try throwing a plastic water bottle in the freezer and using that (instead of a lacrosse ball, for instance) to sit and roll your foot/feet over, daily? It's incredibly good for plantar's fasciitis and has helped me a lot. The ice in the bottle numbs your foot a bit, while you roll it around. Feels great and no danger. :)
oh I hear you !!! I had it for three years, nothing worked. Then a friend who had it so bad in both feet that she was using a walker, recommended a physiotherapist. A month of firm pressure massage and me doing a lot of exercises involving a lacrosse ball and two foam wedges and it has been gone for over two years. Best feeling EVER! Still working on losing the weight I packed on while I could barely walk...
Dear Caroline, Your chair workouts have been a real ENCOURAGEMENT to me! I broke my 5th metatarsal bone in my right foot, and went from walking 4 miles a day, to wondering "WHAT WILL I DO NOW??" I love your chair workout videos. I just committed to working out and eating a healthy diet again about 8 months ago. I was 16 pounds lighter and feeling great when I broke my foot a couple weeks ago. This is my husband's account, but I (his wife) have been doing your videos for the last few months. I have chronic tendonitis and haven't been able to run or jump. After being in a boot for a month already, I came across this video. You say at the end to repeat if we feel necessary. I loved the first 18 minutes so much that I replayed it right away! Over 30 minutes of these exercises and DANG! I am sore today. I've been working out for 20 years and this hit all the spots I often neglect. THANK YOU! I have gained weight since spraining/fracturing my ankle on Easter. It still hasn’t healed because it’s impossible for me to keep still. I have gained weight because of this injury, quarantine, my loss of work, and my SSRI. This video helped me SO MUCH! I was giggling, smiling, and sweating! I’m 5 weeks after breaking small bone and rolling over my ankle and have been feeling despondent lately as I’m normally a very fit and active person. I came across this video by chance, or was it ?! And Caroline, you made me smile. I sweat during the workout, my heart pumped and I realized I can still keep my cardio going even though I can’t jump up and down!!! This is the best! I have bad ankles that restricts me from most stand up exercise routines. I couldn’t believe how this chair cardio had me sweating in a few short minutes! This chair cardio is so good that I am going to start doing this every morning and evening. It’s only 20 minutes, which is the recommended daily minimum. As Americans some of us have so much trouble with weight. This quick and effective routine should be mandatory for all, especially in this Pandemic. This routine should have its own channel on cable TV that just runs all day. I can’t believe how much I sweat! This routine is the bomb.com. I am 62 and if I can do it, anyone can. In fact, it is a good routine for seniors as well. I am glad I found it, 😅

I just love you! I am finally starting to transition out of a boot from Achilles reconstruction surgery. It is because of your videos I have not gained weight while basically being in a cast or boot for four months and I always feel better after. Thank you for what you do. Some days I get very down and miss my cardio. I always look forward to your videos and you challenge us despite the injury.

Thank you for posting! I am a fitness instructor and had Achilles reconstruction surgery 10 days ago...this was the longest I had not worked out since I had my youngest 11 years ago! I enjoyed the workout and can't wait to try more!!! I'm still only 50% weight bearing on my foot with crutches so the chair was great!!! I also have chronic low back pain due to scoliosis, so anything to help that or core strengthening would be helpful too!

I would have loved this when I broke my ankle 3.5 years ago. However, it still acts up on me so I did this today to give it a rest. Fantastic workout and you are so high energy and positive! That is a bonus because us hurt people can use all the positive we can get :) Thank you!
Thank god for Caroline! I just re-sprained my ankle after injuring it for the first time back in April. It's frustrating to be back here, but I didn't feel nearly the same amount of panic as the first time because I knew Caroline and her hurt ankle workouts were here to help me. I never comment on youtube videos but this was so amazing and helped me feel so much better physically and mentally after knee surgery. I can bend my knee now, but not put weight on it. Finally! I'm 72, I've been an active outdoors person (fell running, hiking, rock-climbing) all my adult life but a climbing accident ten years ago, and the ensuing COR (=Carry On Regardless) behaviour exacerbated the ankle injury until, two years ago, the pain and symptoms changed and magnified enormously. I found a medical practitioner (fell runner) who gave me remedial treatment, brought back flexibility to the damaged ankle but the years of COR have caused nerve damage and I can NOT run any more. I need some extra cardio exercise and this video of yours seems to be exactly what I need. THANK YOU!
Hi Caroline, I just want to thank you for ALL of your hurt foot/ankle videos. I broke my fibula and ruptured numerous ankle ligaments just over three weeks ago and am so happy to be able to stay fit and strong while I'm recovering from surgery and am still even in a cast. I am so grateful. 🤗
This was a great workout, especially considering I was sitting the whole time! I fractured my ankle a week ago today, so I put a pillow under my foot to ease the tension of my injured foot hitting the floor.

June 2018 had a sanders 2 and navicular ankle break. 12 screws and a plate. Use to run 4 mile 6 days a week. I’m 61. Former Sgt USMC. My wife did vids like this and I would laugh. After a month of depression, I needed something cardio, something to make me sweat. Seeing someone in recovery with a positive attitude and a plan was inspirational and motivating. I do one of these vids everyday and this Marine smiles when I throw a sweaty T-shirt in the hamper. Thanks and speedy recovery to all. Simper Fi.
I injured my knee in the spring and after months of more or less sedentary living I came across your video a few weeks ago. Physio is good but cardio is the missing piece of the puzzle. Have so much more energy now physically and mentally. Bless you!

Thank you so much for putting this video together. I am recovering from an injury to my right leg caused by a relapse from multiple sclerosis. The first time I did the video I was only able to do only 16 min but as I continue I am able build up the strength and flexion I need through my leg.

Then I found your channel, not only do I excercise with you wearing my boot , you've taught me how I can still do gardening & house work using your techniques , engaging abs , keeping my boot off the ground. Bless you...I'm a runner, but have had repeated issues with feet/hamstrings over the past two years. I've been searching for ways to stay in shape without making things worse. This was a great workout, and it didn't aggravate my injuries at all. One day I will be able to run again, but for now I'm very grateful to have these workouts as an option.

Thank you Caroline. I have had surgery on my big toe joint a week ago. As a BRCA survivor I need to exercise every day, and my mental health and mood both depend on it as well! I have now done three of your chair cardio workouts and I am so glad to have found them / you. Your positive, upbeat spirit makes me feel great. I think my family probably thank you as well! I am now able to feel good and keep up my exercise regime during my recovery.
This is one I started with when I had a broken ankle and loved it. A year later this is the one I come back to when I've been out of my exercise routine for whatever reason. It's a great way to start back as it's just the right length and intensity when you've been out of the groove.
All I can say is that I am so incredibly grateful for you and these videos. I LOVE to workout but I have been dealing with a foot injury (torn fascia) since November and JUST found your videos on line. You have saved me! I can't stop crying...I am so grateful. THANK YOU!

I sprained my ankle yesterday and was quite worried since my main exercises is walking. Someone told me about cardio chair workouts, I found this one, and now I know I’ll be ok! My heart rate was up, I worked many parts of my body, and my ankle didn’t take any impact. Thank you!!!!

Thank-you so much, Caroline! I broke my foot in March while on vacation, but thought it was just a sprain. I continued to walk (limp) for the remainder of the vacation and then once I got back to work. Once the initial swelling went down a bit, I tried to continue with my regular workouts, but it was very difficult as I could not put any pressure on my foot. I finally went for an X-ray last week - 5 weeks after I injured my foot - and discovered the bone was cracked :( I’m still managing to get my strength training in, but I have really been missing cardio. I finally just decided to look up cardio with a broken foot, and lo and behold, I found you! And I did break a sweat - Awesome - I didn’t think that was possible in a chair! Thank-you so much! I had finally gotten back into a consistent workout routine for about 1.5 months, and then decided to switch it up by running/walking. 2 days into that, I missed a step on our stairs and sprained my ankle (between a Grade 1 and 2). I was super bummed. I'm doing rehab for it now, but know I can't get back into the cardio (and some strength training that I was doing) for awhile. I was happy to find these videos! I am so glad I found you! I've been diagnosed with tarsal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis and have been treated with soft boot, PT and am now in a full boot. I've put on about 15 lbs and lost a bunch of muscle over the last year due to my injuries and was getting pretty discouraged when they told me the boot would be my new best friend! How was I going to ever get back into shape? I just couldn't believe that you could really work out hard enough to lose weight and gain muscle from a chair. Then I found you! Truly a blessing! You have worked me harder over the last week than I've been able to work in months! I'm a believer now! I know I've got a long way to go but with your help, I have no doubt I'll make it. So happy to discover these vids/routines. I’m a late comer to working out as I dealt with chronic health issues for years., which included several leg injuries. Finally got them addresses a few years ago and have been going strong for awhile. Even picked up running about 2 years ago and, to my shock, love it. As if shelter in place wasn’t bad enough, I broke my foot in a freak fall last week and am looking at surgery in a few days. Found your YT channel and this and some other vids have kicked my butt in the best way. Will be working these into my recovery plan to maintain the fitness I’ve found. Thanks!
I found this video after searching for a cardio workout that won't aggravate an ankle sprain and I really enjoyed it. I had to modify some of the exercises to fit my fitness level but my heart rate was up and I LOVED your positive attitude and energy! I’m 5 weeks after breaking small bone and rolling over my ankle and have been feeling despondent lately as I’m normally a very fit and active person. I came across this video by chance, or was it ?! And Caroline, you made me smile. I sweat during the workout, my heart pumped and I realized I can still keep my cardio going even though I can’t jump up and down!!! This is the best! I have bad ankles that restricts me from most stand up exercise routines. I couldn’t believe how this chair cardio had me sweating in a few short minutes! This chair cardio is so good that I am going to start doing this every morning and evening. It’s only 20 minutes, which is the recommended daily minimum. As Americans some of us have so much trouble with weight. This quick and effective routine should be mandatory for all, especially in this Pandemic. This routine should have its own channel on cable TV that just runs all day. I can’t believe how much I sweat! This routine is the bomb.com. I am 62 and if I can do it, anyone can. In fact, it is a good routine for seniors as well. I am glad I found it, 😅

I broke my foot yesterday ( metatarsal #5.) I am an avid cyclist and trail runner and honestly am struggling a lot right now accepting this. Thank you for this inspiration. I love you energy.
I just love you! I am finally starting to transition out of a boot from Achilles reconstruction surgery. It is because of your videos I have not gained weight while basically being in a cast or boot for four months and I always feel better after. Thank you for what you do. Some days I get very down and miss my cardio. I always look forward to your videos and you challenge us despite the injury.

Thank you for posting! I am a fitness instructor and had Achilles reconstruction surgery 10 days ago...this was the longest I had not worked out since I had my youngest 11 years ago! I enjoyed the workout and can't wait to try more!!! I'm still only 50% weight bearing on my foot with crutches so the chair was great!!! I also have chronic low back pain due to scoliosis, so anything to help that or core strengthening would be helpful too!
Had foot surgery on May 17th in Boston . No exercise or movement suggestions - this is just terrific! Loved this one and yes I "sparkled"

I broke my foot (lisfranc fracture) in multiple places and have been in a cast for 4 months. I was just put in a moonboot and have been struggling with energy levels being very low.

Just discovered this, ruptured both Achilles’ tendons about 4 months ago, just did the chair workout, thank you SO much for this. Feeling super pumped and positive for the first time with everything that’s happened!! Deffo going to keep this chair workout up!!
I would have loved this when I broke my ankle 3.5 years ago. However, it still acts up on me so I did this today to give it a rest. Fantastic workout and you are so high energy and positive! That is a bonus because us hurt people can use all the positive we can get :) Thank you!
Thank god for Caroline! I just re-sprained my ankle after injuring it for the first time back in April. It's frustrating to be back here, but I didn't feel nearly the same amount of panic as the first time because I knew Caroline and her hurt ankle workouts were here to help me. I never comment on youtube videos but this was so amazing and helped me feel so much better physically and mentally after knee surgery. I can bend my knee now, but not put weight on it. This was wonderful! I have a foot surgery coming up in a few months and will be using this for sure! Thanks so much for helping me today!!!

Finally! I'm 72, I've been an active outdoors person (fell running, hiking, rock-climbing) all my adult life but a climbing accident ten years ago, and the ensuing COR (=Carry On Regardless) behaviour exacerbated the ankle injury until, two years ago, the pain and symptoms changed and magnified enormously. I found a medical practitioner (fell runner) who gave me remedial treatment, brought back flexibility to the damaged ankle but the years of COR have caused nerve damage and I can NOT run any more. I need some extra cardio exercise and this video of yours seems to be exactly what I need. THANK YOU!
Hi Caroline, I just want to thank you for ALL of your hurt foot/ankle videos. I broke my fibula and ruptured numerous ankle ligaments just over three weeks ago and am so happy to be able to stay fit and strong while I'm recovering from surgery and am still even in a cast. I am so grateful. 🤗
This was a great workout, especially considering I was sitting the whole time! I fractured my ankle a week ago today, so I put a pillow under my foot to ease the tension of my injured foot hitting the floor.
Ryann- you and I are in the same boat! I just fractured my ankle too. I hope you feel better. I'm definitely going to take your suggestion about the pillow.

June 2018 had a sanders 2 and navicular ankle break. 12 screws and a plate. Use to run 4 mile 6 days a week. I’m 61. Former Sgt USMC. My wife did vids like this and I would laugh. After a month of depression, I needed something cardio, something to make me sweat. Seeing someone in recovery with a positive attitude and a plan was inspirational and motivating. I do one of these vids everyday and this Marine smiles when I throw a sweaty T-shirt in the hamper. Thanks and speedy recovery to all. Simper Fi.
I injured my knee in the spring and after months of more or less sedentary living I came across your video a few weeks ago. Physio is good but cardio is the missing piece of the puzzle. Have so much more energy now physically and mentally. Bless you!

Thank you so much for putting this video together. I am recovering from an injury to my right leg caused by a relapse from multiple sclerosis. The first time I did the video I was only able to do only 16 min but as I continue I am able build up the strength and flexion I need through my leg.
OMG!! I LOVE your advanced workouts!! I would LOVE to get more of them!! I didn't think I could get a descent workout without jumping/running. I broke my foot just over 7 weeks ago and I just found out I have at least another 3 weeks. Bless you...I'm a runner, but have had repeated issues with feet/hamstrings over the past two years. I've been searching for ways to stay in shape without making things worse. This was a great workout, and it didn't aggravate my injuries at all. One day I will be able to run again, but for now I'm very grateful to have these workouts as an option.

I’ve been couch-bound for About 3 weeks from a leg infection. I was starting to feel pretty down because I am a runner and usually very active. Thank you Caroline. I have had surgery on my big toe joint a week ago. As a BRCA survivor I need to exercise every day, and my mental health and mood both depend on it as well! I have now done three of your chair cardio workouts and I am so glad to have found them / you. Your positive, upbeat spirit makes me feel great. I think my family probably thank you as well! I am now able to feel good and keep up my exercise regime during my recovery.
This is one I started with when I had a broken ankle and loved it. A year later this is the one I come back to when I've been out of my exercise routine for whatever reason. It's a great way to start back as it's just the right length and intensity when you've been out of the groove.
All I can say is that I am so incredibly grateful for you and these videos. I LOVE to workout but I have been dealing with a foot injury (torn fascia) since November and JUST found your videos on line. You have saved me! I can't stop crying...I am so grateful. THANK YOU!

Hello Caroline. First of all I would like to thank you for uploading this fantastic video. I injured my ankle last week. Not sure how. I’m 62 yo and am so used to doing brisk walking, running on the spot, etc so you can imagine how I feel. Having to rest my foot😢.

I sprained my ankle yesterday and was quite worried since my main exercises is walking. Someone told me about cardio chair workouts, I found this one, and now I know I’ll be ok! My heart rate was up, I worked many parts of my body, and my ankle didn’t take any impact. Thank you!!!!

Exercise with broken ankle is great. My aunty suggested stretches which i do. But watching a video and doing them is encouraging.

Thank-you so much, Caroline! I broke my foot in March while on vacation, but thought it was just a sprain. I continued to walk (limp) for the remainder of the vacation and then once I got back to work. Once the initial swelling went down a bit, I tried to continue with my regular workouts, but it was very difficult as I could not put any pressure on my foot. I finally went for an X-ray last week - 5 weeks after I injured my foot - and discovered the bone was cracked :( I’m still managing to get my strength training in, but I have really been missing cardio. I finally just decided to look up cardio with a broken foot, and lo and behold, I found you! And I did break a sweat - Awesome - I didn’t think that was possible in a chair! Thank-you so much! I had finally gotten back into a consistent workout routine for about 1.5 months, and then decided to switch it up by running/walking. 2 days into that, I missed a step on our stairs and sprained my ankle (between a Grade 1 and 2). I was super bummed. I'm doing rehab for it now, but know I can't get back into the cardio (and some strength training that I was doing) for awhile. I was happy to find these videos! I am so glad I found you! I've been diagnosed with tarsal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis and have been treated with soft boot, PT and am now in a full boot. I've put on about 15 lbs and lost a bunch of muscle over the last year due to my injuries and was getting pretty discouraged when they told me the boot would be my new best friend! How was I going to ever get back into shape? I just couldn't believe that you could really work out hard enough to lose weight and gain muscle from a chair. Then I found you! Truly a blessing! You have worked me harder over the last week than I've been able to work in months! I'm a believer now! I know I've got a long way to go but with your help, I have no doubt I'll make it. So happy to discover these vids/routines. I’m a late comer to working out as I dealt with chronic health issues for years., which included several leg injuries. Finally got them addresses a few years ago and have been going strong for awhile. Even picked up running about 2 years ago and, to my shock, love it. As if shelter in place wasn’t bad enough, I broke my foot in a freak fall last week and am looking at surgery in a few days. Found your YT channel and this and some other vids have kicked my butt in the best way. Will be working these into my recovery plan to maintain the fitness I’ve found. Thanks!
I found this video after searching for a cardio workout that won't aggravate an ankle sprain and I really enjoyed it. I had to modify some of the exercises to fit my fitness level but my heart rate was up and I LOVED your positive attitude and energy!
