- What is in my saltwater tackle box? That is the question, come along as I walk you through my fishing box and show you all of my lures and tackle. I like to keep things as simple as possible and really try not to fall prey to purchasing every "cool" lure that I come across but in reality you just have to match the hatch or find something that looks similar to what game fish are feeding on. I think we give fish far too much credit and I know from experience that they aren't as intelligent as lure manufactures make them out to be. However, it’s in their best interest to get you to buy the NEW baits and I can understand that from a business standpoint. I go through every pouch and box and summarize why I have the lures and tackle that I do. This video may be little longer, but I find that it is very information and can really shed light on a few fishing lures that you may be overlooking. Love your videos. I'm a lifetime freshwater bass fisherman from AZ that will be retiring to Port Charlotte FL. Trying to learn all I can before the move. Your videos are very informative and are stripping away the mysteries of salt water fishing. Thank you.
I like the diversity for sure, very inspirational video for me. I generally have small plastic boxes set up for specific type lures for targeting specific species of fish. For instance, I have one box full of Snook jigs and another one with nothing but Pompano lures. Usually when leave the house I'm targeting one species of fish so I grab a couple of boxes and go. The way you are set up it looks like you are prepared for whatever type of fish you encounter, excellent stuff.
The sad part is, I have twenty more clear boxes at the house with species specific lures lol.

I have a similar bag and it’s set up very much the same but for freshwater thanks for the video man!
Maybe you should organize all those boxes I’m a freshwater fisherman but mine is organized by species so each tray is a different fish
The thing is, inshore fishing in saltwater almost everything will eat any lure.
same with fresh water , fresh water is same way except they'll bite anything they can get their mouth on, i even had success on hot sauce soaked hottdogs and even i caught a 5 pounder

Nice stuff in your tackel backpack 🎒 👍🏼 I have never used a floater bober for mackerel fish I just use strat 15lb or 20lb monofilament or 30lb braided fishing line I love using metal jigs soft plastic swim bait long casting hard plastics lures just a little bit of everything for Pier fishing 🎣

CAPT. JOSH!!! That is a wide verity of lures in a small box. You Must have been a boy scout because you are most certainly prepared for different species of fish. I was so confused because being as you fish with Chris so much, I was waiting for you to pull out your First Aid box (for yourself.) Speaking of Chris, he must Not have been with you or I am certain that your bag perched up on that pillar would have found it's way down in the water! LMAO and Just Kidding Chris. I wasn't a boy scout but I studied different fish species at a young age. I do need to get a first aid kit fishing with Chris, no doubt about it.

Do u recommend a tackle box or using a backpack. I personally use a backpack with organizing boxes in it

Sorry bud, threw them out. The best tip is to watch the tides, moon and feeding phases. They matter when catching. Have you watched my video on this subject?
