Thank you so much, I spent an hour trying to figure out how to string my new trimmer. The instructions were of no help to me. I found your video and had the trimmer strung on the first try. Perfect instructions!
IKR? I recently bought one. The Owners Manual Is A Complete & Unfunny Joke. Besides That? You Need A James Webb Telescope To See The TINY PICTURES & WORDS🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
In 1863 Bartholomew Gaines invented the first hand powered, worm gear drivin line trimmer. It saw little sales, until a peanut farmer named Otis Carbuncle improved upon the design with patent 3,672....
Wow, a huge THANK YOU for this video! I’ve watched others in the past that made this process soo much more complicated and confusing. Gosh, who knew it could be this simple. Got it on the first try - yay!
I just spent a hour tryin to put it in til that light 💡 popped in my head and said go to RUclips after watching this it only took 2 minutes lol I’m thankful for this video appreciate it
Next to my wedding day and becoming a father, watching and seeing how to do this ranks way higher than it should. I've had my husq weedeater for 10 years and.... I'm not crying, you're crying.
You have saved the day for me! Took it to hardware store and guy there wasn't informed on dual string. Now I found you and your very clear simply explanation is appreciated!
Dude- gotta tell you I watched this almost one year ago to the date. Thanks for making this video for all us mechanically-challenged people. See you next spring!
None of the other quick videos I found showed me a weedeater that didn't have holes. Thank you for sharing this! It helped me restring my Redmax TR2300S where all the other videos failed!
I’ve lived off the grid for 25 years and used Stihl and Husqvarna weedeaters with string. I’ve been doing it wrong for 25 years.😂 Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for this video! My husband passed away 2 months ago and I am having to learn how to do this stuff by myself. I couldnt find the owners manual to try and figure it out!
THIS IS THE BEST NO NONSENSE VIDEO ON INSTRUCTION! Just got a new HUSQVARNA L!29 and it ran out of line in 2 uses. I oRdered an Echo 450 Speed Head but can't hurt to know how to do this. THANKS!!!
Me too. This is crazy easy. I was wrapping it around both sides with only one continual wind. It would never retract on it's own by this method. And the other videos I watched showed a different design on the wind cylinder. They had 2 holes in them to insert both sides of line. So, I just looked up Husqvarna specifically and now inderstand the correct way to wind the line. I am so happy. THANK YOU!!
Thank you Jack I borrowed a friend's weed eater it is almost brand new it is the Husqvarna 525l I did not know how to change the string thanks for the info
Thanks. Bought used one. No manual. Spool holes looked odd when went to line it. Never would have guessed to loop it. All other double lines had before were 2 separate lines. Good simple video.
Jack, Thanks! Instead of dreading to try to figure out how to restring my weed eater in the past, I would go and buy a new head already strung. Thanks for making this so simple.
This was extremely helpful to me on short notice on a side job having to change the string on my husqavarna weedeater , i am used to an echo , so this was a big help thank you
Thank you so much for your help with your video. I have family members, for some reason don't like to get help from RUclips. And they're not old, I don't understand some times. I showed them your video, they said they liked it. Thank you again for your help!
Thanks for that video. I was racking my brains on how I was going to string that thing. (Trimmer). That was easy. I appreciate that thanks again. Have a nice day. Stay safe. 👍👍👍👍
Did you not read the manual? The two ends should not be even. The offset distance varies with head model number. This difference in length of the two lines eliminates the excess waste when the line trimmer blade cuts off the ends.
Thank you so much. The spool came ready to use but when I had to open it to find more line it wasn’t strung right. Maybe tomorrow will be easier going.
Nice job! I assume the lines dislodge from the spool slots that they snap into initially after you press them down into the eyelets or are they supposed to stay in the spool slots too?
Thanks for the vid. Super helpful. I had been stringing my spool totally backwards. It seemed to work for the most part but I could tell it wasnt right
The sad part is that I can't remember how to restring the bloody thing, and I have to re-watch the video..... G'day from Australia mate. No shrimp on the barbie until I get the lawn edged.
Who else has to rewatch this every spring?
2 years in a row lol
Ain’t right!
LOL,I think I'm good now, we'll see...
Me😂
Me 100 percent

Great to the point video. Loved how the young man didn't give a 15-minute history of the weedeater,
Newz we can uze...w/o the stuff we don't need!
Absolutely on point comment.

@@mrjon75 😂
Thanks Jack.... the loop now makes more sense, DUH !!
🔥 thank you sir for reassuring me the way to do this. This is my first time ever putting string on these kinds of weed eaters. Thanka again.🔥

ditto! so simple! Guess I should have read the manual.
SUPERIOR to other Husqvarna spool install videos. #1 Clear carmera angles, and #2, optimal verbal description; well done!
This the only string trimmer I've ever owned that I needed to look up instructions on how to re-string it. Good video
Don't worry, it will outlast you so you don't need to learn another one lol
Thank you Jack. This is WAY easier than how I was doing it before. Now I don't have to dread restringing my trimmer!!
You have saved the day for me! Took it to hardware store and guy there wasn't informed on dual string. Now I found you and your very clear simply explanation is appreciated!
Excellent, simple, and informative! Great job!
Great video, not wasting time and easy to follow. Thank you!

Yup, same for me they were all the holes kind.
Very helpful, thanks. I have to rewatch this every time I use it
I’ve lived off the grid for 25 years and used Stihl and Husqvarna weedeaters with string. I’ve been doing it wrong for 25 years.😂 Thanks for the video.
Welcome to the internet :)
25 years off Grid. I’d be dead in 24 hours ! I’m pathetic at anything one would need to life like you. Take my had off to you if I had one 👍🏻
Same.. Been weed eating for 20 years and apparently i've been doing it wrong the whole time
Thank you so much for this video! My husband passed away 2 months ago and I am having to learn how to do this stuff by myself. I couldnt find the owners manual to try and figure it out!
So sorry for your loss, and I believe that you can do anything that you put your mind to. :)
I hope you're coping ok.
Hope everything is ok
My go to video twice a year. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for having the easiest directions I’ve seen so far.
You'd think I'd remember this but here I am in early spring once again watching this.
Thank you. This will work for an older Ego trimmer also that I bought 2 years after this video. Exactly what I needed.
Perfect. Easy to follow without 5 minutes of crap as other videos have
I'm 14 and my family just bought a new weedeater, I'm officially the first one to know how to change the string lol! Thank you so much!!!
you just made my yard work 50 percent easier. thank you

Omg. Thank u. For this explanation video. Will be watching it every time from now on lol
Have had the husq 324L since 2011 and just now learned how to do it properly. Wow. Thanks for your video. So simple now that I see the technique.
Me too. This is crazy easy. I was wrapping it around both sides with only one continual wind. It would never retract on it's own by this method. Never in a million years would I have thought to do that. You’re awesome
Thank You!!! My instructions got thrown out and I had no clue how to do this. Now I do. So much easier than my last trimmer.

So easy. Glad I watched this video before simply trying to figure it out (like I normally do)
The best. Awesome don't have to watch it ten times.
Thank you so much for this video. My awesome husband bought one of these units for me for Mother’s Day ! I love it but already misplaced the manual.
Beautiful short video. Thanks so much.
Thx pal , I have been trying to figure this out for 2 seasons now.

Many thanks for this video!
Coming back from last summer

Nicely done!

Amazingly simple - awesome video!
Awesome! Thank you so much! Had no idea how to do it, but now, thanks to your video I do :D
I wish he would gave how much line is necessary. I will try 15ft divided by two equals 7.5 on each side we’ll see if that works.
Very good video! So easy to follow, even I can do this!!
Thank you very much for that video I was getting very frustrated with mine!
Thanks for posting. This really helped a lot.
Thank you for the vid.
Great guide, thanks!
Nice job! I assume the lines dislodge from the spool slots that they snap into initially after you press them down into the eyelets or are they supposed to stay in the spool slots too?
