NOCO GB 40 Genius or Boost? What is the difference

I was shopping for a jump box and decided on the NOCO GB40. What I found was two similar products with different names. I called NOCO and created this short video to clear it up for you. Thanks for watching!

Great explanation - Thx. Also note the alligator clips are different between the models. The later model's clips are able to fit in tighter spaces and have greater opening widths for battery poles.

Nice…thanks for the info. I’m happy I found this video. I just ordered a NOCO boost hd GB70 and then saw the genius model…I thought the genius model was better somehow because of the name lol. Makes me happy that I got the newer model…not that I’m that picky for what I’m using it for but bonus for me.

What made it really confusing for me was that my retailer was selling the Boost Plus while describing it as a Genius. Naturally, I was perplexed. No more thanks to you!

Very misleading video, both NOCO Boost and NOCO Genius are totally different product. Boost is a Portable Jump Starter and have to be charged before using, it will start your car but not charge the battery of the car. NOCO Genius is a battery charger and maintainer, it need to be plugged into the outlet and is not portable, it will charge you battery but work start the car. Also NOCO Genius is still manufactured and sold.
