I actually met Demarcus Cousins. Back before he got drafted and he was still playing for Kentucky he visited my elementary school. I was real young then and wasn't really into basketball so I didn't think much about it. He was selling signed balls for like 100 dollars and he gave all of us kids high fives on the way out of the gym. If I'm remembering right he even got a couple of kids that volunteered and played a little 1 on 1 with them. I really wish that I knew who he was so I would have bought a basketball and I would have volunteered to play 1 on 1 with him but it's still cool that I got to meet him and give him a high five.

I think people need to take a step back and realize these guys are human beings making decisions like you and I, some people literally 'Hate' some athletes and I emphasize the word 'Hate' because that's a very negative feeling to have, especially for 1 a person you dont know, and 2 you're basing your feelings on someone towards something that inevtiably isnt really hurting anyone. They're looking out for themselves like most people would do. That being said I understand from a fan standpoint about being upset about some guys who are professionals being paid millions, making decision that hurt an organization, possibly multiple, for what ever reason it may be, or just any situation that comes up that causes negative reactions. How ever, we can argue sports without hating players, Stephen A Smith is a good example. Really think about it for a second, when the game is over, they take a shower, put on civilian clothes, and just live their lives, like you and I. No reason to hate over a game.
