Trap is an upcoming American mystery thriller film directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Allison Pill. The plot revolves around a serial killer who attends a concert with his daughter only to realize the police have targeted him at the venue.
Trap is scheduled to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 9, 2024.

What if his daughter is actually the serial killer and he isn't telling her about the trap because she would panic, he's going to try getting her out without being caught. The reason they are trapping the killer there is because they may have some digital footprint or evidence that shows they like the singer. which if it is the daughter it would make sense. The police just don't know that it's a little girl so they'll be looking for someone else aka someone like her dad
