- This year's focus has been mainly on trail running, that is why I even enjoyed this overnight stay at an alpine hut even more. We went up to the Hochschoberhütte in Tyrol in the Austrian Alps. The following morning we hiked up to a beautiful serene lake in the middle of the peaks before we went back down to the car.

Great video, Chris! I was also hiking there this summer, but I hiked further up the mountain "Hoher Prijakt". Unfortunately, you missed out on a fantastic view. Nevertheless, you had a beautiful hike.

Where do you park overnight when doing this hike?
There is a dedicated parking lot for this hut. Takes about 30 min to drive up from the valley. A bit off-road. You don’t need a four wheeler. But I wouldn’t drive up w a sports car.
