    wasn't buried or in the elements very long no rusticles or pitting looks like it was coated in mud and left in the sun to bake for a month or two

    Ease up on the decoration.. no need for it and adds nothing to the end result. Maybe I'm just too much of a traditionalist. This couldn't be classed as a restoration as it looks nothing like the original. The work on the steel was pretty good but you really should have tried to preserve the logo. Just my two cents worth.

    The cleaning of the hammer was what i was hoping to see. Seeing almost all the pitting sanded off. But the artistic license on the handle ruined it.

    I am sorry to say this. But you could have made a beautiful restoration of an ancient hammer. Instead you destroyed your own work by your "artistic design". I hope the next item won't be so "artistically designed" .

    I've always wondered how much pitting to remove from a piece of metal, in this restoration a very polished finish looked nice, plus you basically had no choice due to the extensive rust, I suspect the age of the hammer would dictate the level of restoration. However, you really lost me on that handle, but each to his own.

    Amigão, precisa melhorar bastante. Encheu o vídeo de firula, preencheu o tempo com coisas desnecessárias (como a limpeza da bancada) e trabalhou mal a edição, levando quase 20 minutos pra "restaurar" um objeto simples. "Restaurar", entre aspas, porque você descaracterizou a peça. Na lateral da cabeça do martelo havia uma inscrição que você simplesmente raspou. E que visual é esse da base do martelo???

    You could have literally washed the dirt off instead of scraping it and making it over dramatic.
    Electrolysis is nice but you could speed it up by grinding considering that you left the metal from the previous owner smacking it with a hammer. I'm hoping NOT to see your vids in my feed again
