This video is a great reminder that even small things can make a big difference after recovery!!! The "before" and "after" comparison is incredible. Bravo!!!
Ease up on the decoration.. no need for it and adds nothing to the end result. Maybe I'm just too much of a traditionalist. This couldn't be classed as a restoration as it looks nothing like the original. The work on the steel was pretty good but you really should have tried to preserve the logo. Just my two cents worth.
I am sorry to say this. But you could have made a beautiful restoration of an ancient hammer. Instead you destroyed your own work by your "artistic design". I hope the next item won't be so "artistically designed" .
I enjoyed watching this episode and looked forward to the outcome you did not disappoint. Please don't be discouraged by the one individuals comment perhaps he had a bad day if not maybe he should have.
I've always wondered how much pitting to remove from a piece of metal, in this restoration a very polished finish looked nice, plus you basically had no choice due to the extensive rust, I suspect the age of the hammer would dictate the level of restoration. However, you really lost me on that handle, but each to his own.
It must be sad to dislike something for such a petty reason. Only you went further in that you need to make it known that you're petty. Just enjoy things, it costs nothing.
You could have literally washed the dirt off instead of scraping it and making it over dramatic. Electrolysis is nice but you could speed it up by grinding considering that you left the metal from the previous owner smacking it with a hammer. I'm hoping NOT to see your vids in my feed again
So usually someone will do a horrible job restoring an item and I’ll call them out but you have people in the comments section saying it’s amazing when it was awful but this time it was the complete opposite and you’re an idiot for saying it’s ugly

Absolutely!!😇
The moment he put some black adhesive on the handle I felt the old one was better
Okey
You removed the logo, shame on you!
mud and rust are two different things bro.
Reminds me of a leapord lol
wasn't buried or in the elements very long no rusticles or pitting looks like it was coated in mud and left in the sun to bake for a month or two
I turned sound off at the start and enjoyed the video !
Why you off the sound ?
I am sorry to say this but this is probably the ugliest hammer I have ever seen in my life!
Which Thing You Don't Like
Even the wood rusted!
Shush! You’re not supposed to notice.
No Wood Is Not Rusted
@@aahandswhat happened to the handle
Not a hate comment btw

Yes You Are Right
What was the point of those prices of metal cover with black epoxy? None, it got horrible.
But Why
@@aahands it makes absolutely no sense.
More mud than rust must ve been embedded
Loved the restoration, but I think it was originally an adz with one side being sharp.
no that's A Brick Hammer
outstanding performance dude
Thanks
The cleaning of the hammer was what i was hoping to see. Seeing almost all the pitting sanded off. But the artistic license on the handle ruined it.
🙁
I don't understand your handle design at all, but the head restoration was very nice
Dude. That handle.
The head really looks super. Still can;t wrap my head around the handle. Seems a certain animal has lost something.
From the very start, satisfying ASMR with that mid removal. So great.
Glad you liked it!

Nice new locks ❤❤❤
Glad you like them!
well done but i don't like handle :(
😶next time will make it better
The amount of liquid cleaners, scurbers, filing and more cost cheaper to buy a new one.
you are also right
Thank You So Much 😇

Maybe mix up
Nice joke. Love your your work.
Glad you enjoy it!
Good job

Many Thanks
good job
Thank you! Cheers!
Good job 👏👍
Thank you! 😃
Who started the mud fad? So many restorers keep their projects buried in the Nile and I wonder why.
In the next video melting those wires from the hammer to make a new hammer 😂
😂
Wow
Beautiful restoration but really ugly handle

Why do you waste so much WD40 ?
because my father has a factory 😅
What a ridiculous waste of WD40. Not a restoration, more like a destruction.
I have a factory
No offense dude but what the heck did you do to the handle. Looks a but weird
NOT extremely rusty, extremely muddy, and poor restoration.
But Why 🙄
@aahands it's not a restoration.. it looks nothing like the original. And removing the logo was a massive faux pas

Not extremely rusty, just a lot of mud. Sorry mate👎👎👎👎👎

Sorry to say but it is not looking good at all. Awful handle design made it worst looking hammer handle design ever.
