    I feel like you just explain and demonstrate this stuff better than any voice coach out there! I'd love another lesson with you - but in the meantime I've just purchased your course and looking forward to getting back into a solid routine with my voice again in preparation for my Jerseys tour ❤️🎙️

    I love this tip and how you put it in that song your are singing beautifully. I have seen so many singers pushing the tongue as down as possible "to make more room" in the back pursuing better tone. Thanks to your videos it is becoming clearer and clearer to me how the formants work. Keep on!

    Hey Tyler! Found your videos a few months back. Been watching ever since and purchased your master class recently! I found myself last year struggling to hit A4 and happy to say this Easter Sunday service at church I'll be going for a D5 on the last note! My problem is I get nervous when I get on stage. I have a full body response to it still to this day and I've been singing in front of ppl since I was young. Throat has tendency to get tight and I push too much. If I could conquer that I would be set using your videos and masterclass!

    Subbed. Very good lesson. Singing higher feels quite unnatural for me, but I love to sing. I appreciate the work you put into these lessons.

    I discovered yesterday, before your video was out, that putting a finger on either side is an extremely good idea. I place the fingers between the upper and bottom teeth. Nice confirmation! I discovered this when trying different things.

      @@tylerwysong I did another test today. I was eating my soup and came up with the idea of keeping it my mouth while I was making sounds. I found out that maybe the position the tongue finds itself and that particular jaw position that this could be what a singer should be looking for. You could try with water. Would you mind testing this for us?

    hi Tyler! Your movies are great! I am from Poland. I understand 99 percent what you say. Unfortunately, when I speak English I have problems with grammar and pronunciation. However, I think I would be able to communicate sufficiently with you. The question is, would you mind if you would have lessons with me?

    Hey Tyler, I have been using your mixed voice masterclass warmups to try to develop my mix voice, although on some of the later exercises when going higher in pitch around g#4-so on I find difficulty not flipping to falsetto or pulling chest. Will the mixed feeling come after more time doing the different exercises with my mouth closed or should I rethink my strategy of practicing?

    • @tylerwysong
      @tylerwysong  2 года назад +1

      Hey Jake, yes I would def keep using the mouth closed exercises so really keep working Mix workout 1. But it is possible you might need to rethink things a little too. You want that feeling to go up into your head but without breaking into falsetto. I know raider said than done. But keep at it. You will get it!

      If you identify much more with tenor voices than baritone voices, my personal experience might be helpful to you.
      For about 7 years, I thought I was a baritone despite identifying very strongly with tenor voices. I artificially darkened my tone trying to sound like the baritones I heard, but I never had that "booming" quality. Until a few months ago, I'd never truly felt what head voice was supposed to be because it started way higher than I was told it should. I didn't start really feeling it in my head until around D5. So the first thing you should ask yourself is: is that truly falsetto above G#4? Can you go higher with an open throat? Is there any power there at all? Another question to ask is: do you have another higher point where your voice hits a wall? For me it's about F#5, and that's where I truly have to transition to falsetto.
      If this resonated with you, you might be a leggiero tenor. I initially thought that because G#4 is the typical note that a leggiero tenor flips into their upper extension. If you think you are, google "David Jones leggiero tenor". I hope this helped (or at least entertained), and best of luck to you on your vocal journey!
