    • @censorship_sucks
      @censorship_sucks 2 года назад

      Do you have difficulty being a decent human? It's common knowledge that people learn better/easier in different ways. Some by reading, some by doing, some by watching or a combination of those. If you don't know someone, you have absolutely NO idea if they have difficulties with something or what their situation is. Your seven word question paints a picture of you that is worth a thousand words. Hopefully you, nor anyone close to you, ever has a child with a learning disability, or any disability for that matter. You would not be the right person to have in their life. Enjoy your day.

    JP's Silent Captured system is an awesome development. I would think it would be even better with a flat spring, instead of a round spring. But that's why they're making the products and the money that goes with them, and I'm watching their videos! It's great that they produce this video for their product.

    I really love this product. It puts the BCG into battery perfectly and reliably every time! So far I have 3 of these. One on both of the SBRs and one on the LRT 308. I needed to swap the spring on the 308, as it locked up the action after each round, but after that it worked flawlessly.

      I have a custom setup using this AND the Black Rifle Arms BCG with their buffer tech. I had to mod the buffer on the BCG to accept the rod od the spring system but it was worth itm the action is ridiculously smooth!

      Unique to individual setup. If you want to tweak as much as possible you can buy a variable spring kit + install an adjustable gas block. If money is of no concern you can get their variable sized weights as well.
      general guidelines:
      h/h1 = mid length
      h2 = carbine
      h3 = pistol
      Higher spring rate/tension and/or more buffee weight as the gas length is shortened. (H2 is a good start for gas piston systems).

    Might I respectfully suggest you change the verbiage of both your video and instruction sheet from "we recommend removing the buffer retainer and plunger before proceeding" to "you must remove the buffer retainer and plunger before proceeding." Once you get the Silent Capture Spring installed, nothing short of a miracle will allow you to get it out again without potentially damaging the assembly and/or the rubber O-rings as long as that plunger is sticking up! However, if the annoying "boooinnng" after each shot is gone, it will have all been worth it!

    I have a simple question. Why do you suggest taking out the buffer retainer, plunger and plunger spring? Just because the JP silent capture spring doesn't need it, it makes no sense to immediately remove it, as it harms nothing leaving it in, weighs less than a dime.
    I'm a retired US Army soldier, but for people doing DIY upgrades with no experience, for non ground up rifle builds, telling them to remove it on the onset of putting the JP system in, may not be wise, because if they have function issues with this JP system and their buffer plunger spring flies away in taking it out, the rifle is a paperweight, until they find the spring or buy a new one. Once JP's system functions perfectly, IMHO, that would be the time to remove the buffer retainer and plunger spring. My 1st experience with the JP system I had one rifle that wouldn't lock back. Was a simple fix, but for noobs it might not be so simple.

      The standard buffer retainer catches in many of the features of the SCS, so it's really inconvenient to insert and remove. That's the main reason. This video is dated at this point since we've come out with an alternate design buffer retainer that alleviates this problem.

      inRangeTV (or forgotten weapons....cant remember) did a vidoe where to make their CETME-Ls work, they had to use a fired label case to add some spring tension....
      they also just made a "what would stoner do" video where they approve of this buffer.....after they tested it with MANY shooting matches and 1000s of rounds
      most people dont have washers laying around......and even fewer know where to get them (car parts or hardware store)
      so a quarter is something EVERYONE has, and its a perfect fit for the tube
      plus..... you could buy some material like the white spacer that is included..... and make your own, longer, spacer
      AKA.... if you dont like the quarter idea..... you can make your own spacer that is better (but it will cost a lot more than 25 cents, and work EXACTLY the same)
      i dont even own an ar15..... so i have no horse in this race
      but you better not do any car mechanic work.... if you cant handle making your own spacer, or using a cheap and JUST AS effective "hot fix".....
      then how are you ever going to get bearing clearance right?
      "piston rings should not need to be filed to the correct ring gap.....even though the correct gap will vary depending on the configuration of the engine (turbo = more gap), how worn the bore is, and about 20 different variables..... they should all be drop in replacements......as i have no idea what tolerance variations are!"
