Thank you Scott for taking us to some amazing places with you. All the smaller details, like too much dust in the desert, to the mosquitoes where you are here, all add to the journey and are the things you don't immediately think of. For those viewers like me who can't get out very often, these details make the journey all the more realistic and appreciable. It's always fun catching up on your travels and stories. There's nothing on TV comparable, your content is so real, you feel like you're along for the journey.
So green I LOVE that and we could see the snow on the surrounding mountains. That place looks like bliss and there was hardly ANYBODY else there. Just perfect lol
G’day Scott, what a lovely place to take a nice stroll along and soak up the ambience of your surroundings. I hope you find another beautiful place to stay at, safe travels friend.
Wow what a gorgeous little trail system, when you were standing in front of the lake it could’ve been a green screen it was so picturesque. The area you parked at for dispersed camping was just lovely and I appreciate this scenery so much more than the desert. Hope you enjoy the forest and the skeeters don’t have too much of a feast!
I'll bet you'd love the Troy-Libby- lake Koocanusa area in Montana. We just spent 4 days up there. Kind of a semi rain forest, elevation 1900-3000. Beautiful country, I could spend all summer there. Explore the Cabinet-Yaak wilderness 🙂
I am livng in Hope B.C...surrounded by mountains and forests..never realized how beautiful northern California is..wow..color of that lake is gorgeous..looks so clear and pristine!!.Thank you for taking such wonderful vids...appreciated!!
How are things in Hope, getting it put back together after the crazy floods last year? I've been through there many times as I used to live in Vanderhoof, west of PG.
@@JG-kv4oi back to normal here..just chilly weather and lots of rainy days..supposed to get allot warmer temps this weekend!!..Yes been to P.G. used to live in Chetwynd on acreage in the Hasler area!!
Scott- thank you for sharing your spot with us- I was at Tahoe area many many years ago as a teenager. I always remember that it was one of the most BEAUTIFUL PLACES ON EARTH! ❤ I cook only for myself and eat the same things over and over again. Either Eggs and toast, Tacos, Grilled cheese or grilled cheese tuna sandwich on Keto bread with Either a salad, spinach, or Cabbage slaw for my vegetable. I just bought a head of Cabbage today! Good on Tacos! I've missed watching your channel- it keeps not giving notifications or push in the stream! Glad you are having a good time on your journey 😊 Peace-
Thanks for the video Scott, just gorgeous. Thank you also for your tip awhile back on YellowBird! I found the Serrano at a store near me, the bottle lasted me 1 week. I may have a monkey on my back or in this case, a little Yellow Bird 🕊️. Thanks again and safe travels!
What a beautiful spot on the river. You're so lucky that you had the whole place to yourself. Now I want a homemade hamburger, but all I have is Ramen. Sigh.
Hi Scott! Nice and pretty trails there. Too bad you couldn’t stay though. Get yourself one of those battery operated bug repellents. Now through the summer, it will be dire to protect yourself without putting deet all over you.
So nice seeing you again beautiful area. Your so funny and sweet. See ya again. 😊 darn 🦟.... can't wait to see where your heading out too... probably not too far since gas is out of control.
Scott, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I can’t get to your Amazon or to your T-shirts using your links. When you get a chance, can put them here please? Oh and today I finally remembered to pick up some of that yellow Serrano hot sauce. I like it. It’s tasty. Pretty good but it certainly packs a punch!
Very nice place, yes the water look beautifully clean! I was wondering if you do have some sort of a screen for your door opening? And do you carry bear spray when kicking in an area like this? I think there are bears there. I enjoyed your kind of humor 😃 Thank you
I just picked up a screen at Grocery Outlet, of all places. I haven’t used it yet. I don’t have bear spray. The bears in most places I go are very used to people. It’s why I haven’t seen any yet. They run off at the first whiff.
My goodness, it has been a very long time since I've been up there so thank you for taking us along. Beautiful!! If you get bak down here anytime, let me know and I'll have a bag of Joshua Tree Coffee on hold for you to pick up. It's a light roast, single origin, orgainic, fair trade, locally roasted bag of deliciousness. I get a local discount and would love to treat you if you'd like to give it a try and you wouldn't have to be around a lot of people. Just go into the patio to the table and tell them there is a bag on hold for you. AFTER telling me so I can order it for you. I'm pretty sure you'll like it.
I have a lot of fear about driving mountain roads. One thing that has helped me tremendously is watching RUclips videos of the road I'm going to take. There are thousands of videos on just about every road you can imagine that are just driving, and they are usually at double or triple speed. This lets me "pre-drive" the route and really takes the fear of the unknown out of the equation. I have shared these videos with others posting on forums who were nervous about driving, and it appeared to help them as well. Give it a try next time, hopefully it will take away some of your trepidation. Here's the search terms for a video from Donner Summit to Auburn (I don't think I can put a link in here): "Donner Summit to Auburn CA | The 50 50 Challenge Dashcam".
Thank you for sharing this tip and I'd like to share one, too: I'm the same, mountain roads -especially with drop offs- kind of freak me out, and I'm not even a fan of being on the freeway (at least not when it's busy). What I've done to "pre-drive" a route is find a location at or near where I intend to be traveling on Google maps, then do street view, then click the little arrow inching your way along the route. It can be fun or it can be tedious. I find it especially useful to be able to see where there's a turnoff that I WANT to take, very close to a turn off that I don't want to take. It gives me a heads up.
