@@AdventuresofAplusK not misleading from you - misleading from the company. I always feel that “free” with purchase is misleading. It’s great if you already are going to spend the $ on that product, but if you just want to try it out, not so much. Don’t worry about it. I think I was just in a grumpy mood when I wrote that 😁
Congrats on your first bikepacking trip! 70 miles through the Tahoe National Forest sounds like an epic adventure, and the views looked absolutly amazing. The tough parts and challenges you faced just make the trip even more memorable, and reaching the Sardine Lookout Tower must have felt so rewarding. Thanks for sharing - definitely inspired to try bikepacking myself one day!
I love that you are getting into gravel riding and bikepacking!! One of my favorite things to do. Keep up this great content!! Love seeing you guys push yourselves. 😊
Good on you!!! Congrats on getting your first bikepacking adventure under your belts!!! And what a great trail!! Also, love the talking to the cows. :) I do the same. When they talk back someday, I will be worried. Thanks again for sharing!!
Amazing effort on this trip! I can't imagine trying to bike, talk and film yourself but you somehow managed to do it and get some impressive shots! I love cycling, especially gravel riding so this got me excited to try some bikepacking in the future.
Well done! We rode in the area in June and will agree that it is beautiful there. We have a pic taken on that same overlook at Stampede. Looking forward to more of your bikepacking adventure vids. Cheers!
Well now you’re doing all the fun things I do! Glad to see you enjoyed the riding with gear. It can help you cover so much distance when the trails and gravel are right.
What a fun bike trip, that second morning looked like a beautiful day! It's fun because I started watching you guys and Ryan Van Duzer about the same time a few years ago so it's fun to see the worlds collide!
Awesome adventure video!! You guys do these fun and exciting activities and share them! It’s so inspiring to see. I’m not sure I’ll ever go bike packing but I’m thinking about it now.😊
We're watching while resting after averaging days of 10 mile walks in Copenhagen and Malmo from seeing your content and our Google Flight capture of low fares. 👍
Love your new adventure!!! As a backpacker I am very intrigued with what you packed and how it was carried. Please do a video or include this in another video. As always… we are glued to and love your experiences!!!!
Thanks! We planned on doing a gear rundown in this video but just ran out of time! We do have a write up of all our gear on our website here: adventuresofaplusk.com/cycling-bikepacking-gear/
LOVE all your clips The backpacking and hiking are my Favorites as it gives me inspiration to get out and move on. Your video's ship is spot on. can't get enough of it. Drone videos also. However this bike video didn't really capture the experience I was looking for. Glad to see you two out there as I TRUELY LOVE and FOLLOW you. YOU GUYS KEEP it UP.. I lOOK FORWORD TO THE NEXT ADVENTURE. STAY SAFE . Peace
Riding a bike is so fun, downhill! Looks like a beautiful setting but still a grueling path. I have a theory that kayak camping is 1 piece of equipment harder than what 99% of people are willing to do so you get the whole landscape to yourselves. Cool to hear that is how bike packing is, makes sense!
We haven't added it up, but you can see all of our gear at this post! If I had to guess, probably under $1,500 each adventuresofaplusk.com/cycling-bikepacking-gear/
Hellow Adam & Kathryn! Adam, as a Louisiana born and raised guy, I have to ask if that crawfish e'touffee was as good as your thought it would be? Also, I'm SO glad that you brought that fly rod with you on this bike trip. Sorry you didn't have time for fishing this time...but you were prepared!!! Let me say for both of you ... if you younger bikers struggled a bit on those bikes, I would not even come close to getting up to that lookout at the top of the mountain. You would've seen be sitting there after I drove up.
Cool! I did that loop as my first bikepacking trip too. I used my iPhone and made a RUclips video with a maybe 35 views ? I have the Redwood also and moved to a full suspension bike though to help my old body on the great divide. Hint .. get some thicker sleeping pads .. you’ll thank me. I have the ones you used too but upgraded and so glad I did !
For coffee we just used our backpacking stove, kettle, and some pour over coffee from a brand called Kuju. You can see all of our gear we took here: adventuresofaplusk.com/cycling-bikepacking-gear/
As you guys age, like us old, active folks, consider pedal assist electric bikes with comfy seats. You still get the great workout. K would love as it helps her hand with A!
Great video! It's always fun to watch your adventures. Could you tell me the name of the book you referred to a few videos back when you were backpacking? You said it was encouraging you to be uncomfortable and do hard things.
You can get really good hill climbing gearing on your bikes for steep hills. See your friendly neighborhood bike shop. Advice from old man: don’t be too hard on your knees.
My legs are thrashed from bike riding. I am not super graceful and I am constantly bashing my legs against the pedals that have a little spiky things.. ☺️ Walking and running are too slow, cars are too fast, biking is perfect.
I love your videos, but I worry about your safety. I lived on the Oregon coast for several years and I had to leave because of bears, cougars and bobcats. A cougar nearly got my neighbor and her dog when out hiking. Please don't be naive about those wild creatures and carry a gun or two. 😮

A bit misleading, as it is a “free” sample pack WITH ANY PURCHASE.
That being said, love your videos. Keep up the good work!

How does Koni do with the new bikes? We met yall in Moab and we were on our bikes you told us they made Koni nervous.
Hey! Kona has gotten better about bikes over the years, but we don’t ride our bikes around her
Hope you’re doing well!
Sorry to see much of that Bear Valley area is currently being consumed by fire. I hope you two didn't leave any unattended campfires.
