- Hello from one of our FAVORITE cities in the Pacific Northwest…Bend, Oregon! Bend is located in Central Oregon and is a year round outdoor playground, with the epic Cascade Mountains nearby, volcanic history, snow activities, hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and so much MORE!
We first visited Bend back in September 2018 and fell in love with the area. And we are so pumped to have partnered with Visit Bend to experience Bend in a new season for us…spring!

Took the pledge! 🤙🏽
Taking the pledge! And I can’t believe there’s still so much snow!!
We had a cold April!!! Born in raised in Bend and still here, running my families vacation rental business in Sunriver. We are lucky to call this area home 🥰
are you guys brother and sister?
I have been blessed to live in Bend 1977-1982 and moved back 1989. Love it here and was glad to get a house when the median price was not $750,000.
You are lucky! Basically anywhere that is a fun and nice place to live is expensive these days. 😊
750k to live somewhere with active volcanoes regular forest fires, likely future water supply issues and hardly any rain? Yeah no thanks...
Facts!
Had a family member move up to Bend 2 years ago
Their house came in at half a mil
Yep in little Bend
Wow times have changed in that town
@@anybodyoutthere3208 find us a nice city or town that hasn’t had home prices go up over the years…..
I love living here in Bend. I've always felt blessed to be born and raised in Oregon
Bend is an amazing place! Thanks for watching
Know time is limited but the High Desert Museum is a must do. Have been there several times and always impressed and immersed. One of the best nature museums I have visited. So well done. Maybe next time.
We are Seniors and will never travel like you guys. So thanks so much for your great video's. We feel like we are there watching.
We’re glad we could share and provide value along the way. Thanks for watching, Jesse!
This was a fantastic video! So many elements, the wildlife scenes, slow-motion, b-roll, food, hiking, historical details, and blockbuster!! Thanks for a wonderful share
Thank you so much, Ryan! We had a great time filming this video and we’re proud of how it turned out! Thanks again!
Love how Kona was able to join you on more hikes. Had no idea Bend had such great diversity. Always worth watching❣
Yes we loved that she could join us too! Bend is very dog friendly. And yes Bend is very diverse. It’s pretty cool to be able to drive to the other side of town and get a change in scenery and climate!
Bend is not diverse, I live here.
@@heatherparker2607 We were very clearly referring to the scenery, as stated above. With the high desert, snow, mountains, and lakes all within 1 hour of each other, it’s hard to argue that the scenery ISN’T diverse.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Clearly, Heather was not referring to the scenery.
You both make every place you go seem like the best place to visit. Thanks for bringing us along!
We are very easy to please and we always have a great time! Thanks for following along!
Another wonderful video!! Loved everything about Bend especially Smith Rock -- how beautiful!! Thanks again!!
Smith Rock is a true highlight! Thanks for watching!
Very thorough video of good things to do. We will be there in November.
Thanks for sharing!!
Ram
Bend to me is shopping, all these other places are Central Oregon. We usually skip the Old Mill District now, because it's expensive and over crowded.
Fun fact: If you go North of Terrebonne and turn at Haystack reservoir, you can drive to an old homestead/apple orchard and park on the Northside of Grey Butte. Hike to the top and into Smith Rock. No crowds or paying to park. Pine Ridge is also back there and is the coolest surprise at the top.
Also if you don't like crowds eat in Culver or Madras and go to Lake Billy Chinook or Lake Simstusus. They are both worth seeing at least once in your life time.
We had a great time in Bend. Lots of delicious food and the town is nice to walk around especially the Old Mill area. We really enjoy it. There is tons of outdoor activities we haven’t had a chance to check out yet and we are pumped to see more on our next trip. Thanks for the tips and thanks for watching!
You did it again, showcased Oregon with deft and grace through your amazing skills ! We loved hiking Misery Ridge and the Tumalo Falls hike past the falls is nothing short of spectacular.
Definitely heading back for the food 😉. You keep us motivated !!
The food alone is worth the trip! We got to try so much and it was delicious! Thank you so much for your comments and for watching, Mary!
Oregon is just a Beautiful State all around ❤️ Great video!!!
Yes it is! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Love Bend! Such a great town to visit and so much to do! Was great to see your video- so many old favorites and for sure a bunch of new stuff to try! Thanks!
There’s so much to see and do in Bend ya gotta go a ton of times!
Those hiking trails through the volcanic rocks with the snow dotted about was stunning and so unusual! I've never snowshoed before and its certainly an activity on my bucket list I really enjoyed watching you guys on the Swampy Lakes trail - all of the shots were so magical and I'm a big fan of the warming huts. I'd just assumed they were a shelter from the elements so was surprised to see a fire in there! My favourite thing from this video though was the Smith Rock State Park - those rocks were fantastic. Like yourselves, I'd far rather hike around then rather than go rock climbing, feels like more of an adventure that way. But the waterfalls were a close 2nd favourite, they were stunning 😍 completely agree about it being better when it's snowy! Kathryn, I love your taste in movies - How to Loose A Guy in 10 Days is just awesome. When I moved into my uni halls of residence (a bit like your dorms) in my 1st year, on the first day, the girl in the room next door to me aske if I wanted to watch that movie with her and it eradicated so much of the worry and home sickness.
Wowa! Thank you for taking us along! and so nice to see...never stop holding hands!.... also loved the dance at the most beautiful waterfall I think I've ever seen! So Awesome!
We’ll keep dancing and holding hands forever! Thanks for watching, Wendy!
You guys are awesome! Just discovered you. Great personalities, smart, entertaining, and professional photography.
Thank you so much for following along! We are so happy to have you here!
We just found you and low and behold you all are visiting our beautiful home of Bend! Welcome! We have lived here for over 20+ years raising our babies! Lava butte hike is wonderful.Benham falls is beautiful as well! Enjoy your time!!!
Thank you both for taking us on your majestic journey. I love your camera work.
Thanks, Mitch!
Guys!!! I am a new sub and this video is a 10!! So many cool spots in Bend can't wait to go follow your footsteps. Great channel!!
Thanks, Chris! ❤️❤️
Great video, we loved Bend and had a fab time Tubing during the summer. Totally agree…it’s a great place. Thanks Steve Katie and Dan
We really want to come back in the summer and get on the river a few times! That looks like so much fun!
Bend is on my bucket list. Thanks for all the great scenery and food inspiration.
❤️❤️
Congratulations on 100k! Love your videos
Great timely video! We are leaving So. Cal. in two days and heading to the Canadian Rockies for a few weeks and Bend is on our itinerary and will enjoy some of the recommended restaurants. We didn't make it to Smith Rock State Park last trip but will definitely include a stop there! Thanks so much as we always enjoy supporting local businesses where ever we travel and it is so much easier when we learn from others! We took the Bend Pledge which pretty much is our own travel philosophy . Again thanks so much and please keep those helpful and informative videos coming!
Have a great time in Bend! We highly recommend all of those spots and LOVE supporting local businesses when we can. Thanks for taking the Bend Pledge too, it definitely should be everyone's personal philosophy when visiting anywhere!
CONGRATULATIONS on 100,000 Subscribers 🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉🥳! You three are SO deserving of this milestone and I am so proud and excited for you!!! 💃🏾💞💃🏾💞💃🏾💞
Woooohooooo! 🎉🥳🍾
This is one of my favorite A + K videos! It looked like you both had so much fun. I love how you highlighted other features than the breweries and it made me want to visit this beautiful area again. Love your work and your adventures! Thanks for sharing! 💕
We had a great time! Bend is such a fun place to visit! There are of course tons of breweries, but like you said so much more! Thanks so much, Carmen!
Your edits have always been awesome but you guys have really taken it up a few levels!
👏👏👏
Thank you! 🤙🙌
Love the variety of landscapes especially this video. There were lava fields, waterfalls, snowy trails, etc. Also glad to see Kona 🥹
Bend has it all! It’s really neat to drive around and get wildly different scenery and climate. Kona had a great time too! 🐶☺️❤️
How amazing! We need to add Bend to our list! Looks like the shoulder season is the way to go!!!
Shoulder season was a blast! Way less people too! Although the summer hiking in Bend is 😍😍😍
I absolutely love this type of video! The longer the video, the better!! Best RUclipsrs!!
We love being able to share our adventures in these longer videos sometimes! You are too kind. Thank you! ❤️💙
Thanks for the great vid, brought back some good memories! We were driving through on the way for a waterfall hike when we suddenly found ourselves driving through those lava fields...quite a shock when you're not expecting that LOL. And agree about Bend, fun town with lots to do, good food; keep meaning to head back there.
The scenery there is wildly diverse! Tons to do, eat, and see!
Really enjoyed your video! Thanks for all the info.
We’re happy and thankful we could share! Thanks for watching!
The return of Birdtalker! I was watching and singing along: “leeeeeeave what’s heavy…” while you were warming up.
Great vlog. Thanks again to both of you!
Hahah love that song and love that so many of y'all love it too and recognize it!
Congratulations on hitting 100K subscribers! Recently found your channel and can't stop binge watching your videos! Keep up the great work! I love Bend, Oregon and any town along HWY 97 in Central Oregon. There's so much adventures around every corner. Oregon is an outdoor lovers paradise!
There really is so much to see and do! We’ll be coming back many times! Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Loved this video! I’ve only ever been to Portland, but Bend is now at the top of my list! Thanks!
Yes you should definitely check out Bend next! We know you’ll love it!
Congratulations on 100,000 Subscribers! The Pacific Northwest is on my bucket list!
Thank you so much!
Went to Bend for the first time last April. We visited beautiful Smith Rock too. You are so close to 100k!!! Thanks for sharing some new places to visit in Bend.
Woooohooo! Smith Rock and Bend are amazing aren’t they?!
Smith Rock was beautiful! Oregon seems to have it all, snow, desert, forest! Wow! Kona is living his best life! Steak looked amazing too! Another great video guys thanks for taking us along! ~Cara 😊
It really does have it all! Especially when you throw the ocean in as well! Kona loved it at The Camp and the spots she got to check out around town 😊🐶 Thanks for following along!
Bend Oregon what a beautiful place 😍 so diverse from surfing 🏄♂️ river to snow shoes and cabins, plus amazing food. Definitely on my need to see list whenever I get out that way.
Bend is a wonderful playground!
Well done you two. Great video of my hometown. Truly blessed to live here. 🤗
Thank you and thanks for watching! ☺️
Another awesome video!
Thank you so much!
Excellent video!! I will definitely be planning a trip to Bend! 😊
Yes you do! 😄 Thanks for watching!
Thank you I share this on Facebook as my Parents were raised there and my Grandparents lived there for many years. I sent time there when I was young. I am 73 now and you brought back many memory's.
We’re glad we could bring back memories! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I enjoy finding out from your videos the wonderful state parks to visit. It's also kind of funny Kathryn explained what Blockbuster Videos is.
There are so many state parks that don’t get enough love! That Blockbuster was really nostalgic to see!
Oh Goodness, a blockbuster. I remember the days of renting foreign movies. Wow, the bygone era. Thanks for Sharing.
It was a trip down memory lane! Thanks for watching!
You guys did an amazing job showcasing some of the best of bend. I am a bend native and often forget about some of the amazing things around here. You even taught me some things. Cheers to you and your adventures!
Thank you so much! That makes us feel really good to hear that from a local! Thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'm a NYorker, have lived in Redmond 22 yrs now. But now, I'm going to Bo's if it's still there! Great Video!
Wow what a beautiful video. I especially liked the waterfall and knowing that there is 1 blockbuster left in the world. How cool.
The Blockbuster is funny, huh? And yes that waterfall is gorgeous! Thanks for watching!
I liked Bend when i went up there consulting. Loved the "Sisters"!
EXCELLENT!!! Loved the slo mo shots!!!!! and of course the drone!!! like Frank says, watch out where the huskies go........!!!!
Thanks Bob!
Thank you! Your channel is awesome!!
😊🏔️🌊
Thanks and thanks for watching!
My friend Rosie and her family own Wild Rose and Sen Noodle House. I've been eating her father's cooking for 30 years. Best Thai food ever.
That is awesome! We loved their food!
Very pretty area. Bend reminds me of Flagstaff alot, just a lower elevation Flagstaff. Thanks for showing me something new! I have heard of Bend, but knew nothing about it other then being a brewery town. Travel safe!
That is a great comparison! We hadn't thought of that, but can totally see it!
Thanks for interesting video, like scene and the actions .
Bend has been on my list for so long and moved once a certain Two Wandering Soles moved there. This was a great showcase of it. I love the variety you can do there and I definitely made the mistake of watching this before lunch. Now my boring leftovers aren't going to cut it. Off to take the pledge!
We got to meet them during our trip and they are the best! Ya gotta learn to watch on a full stomach, Nate! 😂😂 Thank you so much for watching!
there is also a ski mountain there called Mt Bachelor. An awesome mountain with many ski runs and one you can ski the most vertical in a day of most any other mountain. All lifts are high speed detachable. From top to bottom is around 3K feet and can ski it none stop. It is a true cone volcano. The top is often closed due to extremely violent weather in the Winter but for Spring skiing, a great place to go. Just an FYI for skiers watching this. Thanks for a great tour of Bend which, I agree, is a wonderful town and an outdoor enthusiast dream.
We are going on a roadtrip to Oregon from LA with my kids and husband this coming April and your vlogs are helpful.Thank you!!!
Awesome! We're glad we could help! Check out our website as well. We have many guides for things to do along that journey. We can be much more detailed and thorough in our written content. Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video, appreciate all of your travel insights on your journey to Alaska. This one in particular makes us want to make a road trip north to Bend (from the Bay Area in California). Thanks!
Oh you gotta do it! Thank you for your kind comments! They mean a lot to us and thanks for watching, Alan!
Seriously, how cool is that retro RV park?! And it’s so cool that Adam was surfing in sunny California a few videos ago, now y’all are snowshoeing! As usual, such a great video showing off another area that’s long been on my bucket list.
It was such a great spot! We got to tour most of the vintage trailers and want to go back to stay in one. We have LOVED all of the different types of scenery and climates, it has made this road trip extra fun!
Definitely lucky to have so many gems in Oregon. Love my state!
I have been to Bend many times and never hiked the area. You have given me many ideas. Thank you.
We are so glad, there are SO many great trails!
Wow, Bend looks amazing! Great video! And I ❤️ Kona!!
It is amazing! Thank you and Kona says woof! 🐶😄
I’m moving to Bend next week! Thanks for the fun video!
Congrats on the move, that is awesome!
I live in Bend and am so glad to see you guys enjoyed yourself here!
Thank you so much, Javi!
That warming hit looked so toasty. Loved the drone footage!
The warming hut was so fun and cozy! We were really happy with the drones shots from this one too! Thank you!
Headed to Bend this summer! This is great! Thank you.
You’re going to love it!
soooo close to 100K!!!!! seeing you guys go from a small channel to a major travel vlog channel is so great to see. you guys are amazing and 1 million will come in no time
It is bonkers! 🤯 I don’t know about a million 😅😂 but we’re enjoying the journey!
Another great video. The snow was a change though almost like the return of winter🥶
Haha yes we had a throwback to winter! It was a pleasant surprise!
My wife and I went to Bend a few years ago for an overnight. I had been through there once before, but it was amazing to spend a bit more time there. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
We are so glad you've been able to experience Bend!
We did Tumalo falls yesterday, such a favorite! 🌲🌧 Gonna have to go try Bo’s now!😍
Bo’s is a must!
So beautiful!!!
My neck of the woods. Yes! We are blessed with tuns of beauty.❤️
You got that right!
Well done!
We just visited Bend and really enjoyed it. Your vids helped us decide what to do since we are road tripping too. We followed a lot in your footsteps. Oddly, our best day was at Steelhead Falls because it was our 1 yr. old dog’s first swimming experience. We loved how pet friendly Bend was. Thanks for including historical content, food, and outdoor experiences. Bonta gelato was amazing! And… we also really liked Kanona Cafe (try it next time). What an excellent latte I had there. Love you guys and Kona. 👏
Oh that's awesome to hear! We're glad you had a great trip!
Ya know we aaalmost went out to Steelhead Falls, but didn't for some reason. It's on our list for next time! I bet that was a ton of fun for y'all and your pup!
Bonta is so good, huh?!
We drove by Kanona a bunch and really wanted to go so we'll make sure to do that!
Thanks for the tips and thanks for watching!
Beautiful place! Thank you.
Fun video. Thanks for the ride 🥰🐕
❤️❤️
That warming hut and snowshoeing adventure looked incredible! Hope your little one was warm in the Mercedes. Bet Kona was excited to see you both when you got back. Greetz and happy trails from Vancouver WA!
She was much warmer than us with the heater on! We were very glad to come back to a warm van too!
Been watching since your channel only had 5,000+ subs & so thrilled for your 100,000 milestone!!! 🎉🎉🎉Your vlogs are such an inspiration to explore & to conserve! 🌎Thank-you & congrats!❤️Hugs to Kona.🐶
Wow! Thank you for sticking around!
I am so hungry now! all the food looks so yummy yum yum!!! And what beauty to behold in Bend! Thanks for the trip down memory lane at Blockbuster! Kona is cracking me up with her destroying the snowman like she's Godzilla!😄 The RV park looks perfect! I think the bowls were definitely worth the wait! Bend is a really beautiful and cool place for sure!
We should put a disclaimer at the beginning of videos! 🚨🌮🍨
Kona will destroy anything if we let her! 😂 she does a very good Godzilla impression
Bend is an amazing place!
Misery Ridge looks intense! You two AND Kona are all total beasts. 💪🏻 💥 Thanks for sharing all the beauty of Bend! AND a Blockbuster- that brings back memories. 🍿 🎥
Misery Ridge is both beautiful and miserable! 😂 Kona is our little mountain goat!
We have been through Bend numerous times as we have family in Yakima, WA. Your video is proof we need to slow down and spend a few days seeing the place. Our experiences include a few motels, a Walmart parking lot (boondocking in our first motor home and few restaurants. It has always been a great place to visit. I have thought that the next time we are up that way we should stop at Smith Rock State Park. It looks beautiful.
Oh Bend is worth at least a few days stop! There are a few boondocking spots that are just outside of town that will be a bit more scenic than Walmart. We stayed at the Oregon Badlands for most of our time there and it was quiet and peaceful. And yes Smith Rock should be one of the top things you check out! It’s a must visit. Thanks, Ray!
This was a wonderful video! I wasn’t familiar with Oregon at all so this was great! I want to go! I am really appreciating your photography/videos!! My granddaughter also watched this one and was intrigued! Loved seeing Kona enjoy the snow!
We hope you get to go someday and we’re glad your granddaughter enjoyed the video. Thanks so much for watching!
Ok, seeing that Blockbuster totally made me teary eyed. Gotta love Dodgeball. ha
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball! Blockbuster took us back in time!
Wow, beautiful and amazing. Oregon is beautiful. I am really enjoying your journey. I started watching the Alaska Thursday night and found the first of your journey. I am still watching it today, Saturday. If I ever got to take a trip like this, I would want to see special things like you have. I am too old to hike like you have, but gosh I sure wish i could. You have to really hike to see the beautiful and amazing sites. This is a beautiful hike. I am loving this. Thank you so much for sharing. The waterfall was beautiful. I think the snow made it more beautiful and amazing.
There's plenty to see from the roadside in many places, but yes you are right, to really see some amazing stuff you've gotta get off the road! We're lucky and thankful we get to do what we do!
I just loved your outstanding video. We live in Bend and LOVE it here.
We love Bend too! Thank you and thanks for watching!
What a fun video! Great photography - Great scenery - Great food. Thanks for sharing! ❤ (watching from Pismo Beach, CA)
We miss Pismo! Thank you! ❤️💙

That's awesome, Ralph! West Virginia is one of our favorite places, Bend as well! And we are having the trip of a lifetime in Alaska! Our best videos are coming up over the next couple weeks so stay tuned for that! Thanks for watching!
Congrats on 100k subscribers!
Great job 👏
Great video. Brings back memories of that area. I would love to watch a video of you hiking Oneota Falls near Multnomah Falls.
We’ve been to Multnomah several times, but haven’t done that hike. We’d love to one day. Unfortunately we couldn’t stop by the Columbia River Gorge on this trip for a variety of reasons. We’ll be back though. Thanks for watching!
Another awesome video. Can't wait to see where you're going next and what they have to eat. Lol
Haha we’ll be sure to show ya! 😂
I used to spend 2 weeks every winter skiing Mt Bachelor! Love that area....
Would love to see a blog on seaside, OR (or maybe Seaside/Cannon Beach combine). Definitely more family with kids friendly but also so fun for anyone and lots of beautiful scenery in the area and fun things to do.
Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, just watched your Bend, OR video and it was absolutely OUTSTANDING! I can see that y'all ate a whole lot...and didn't save any for me. Not fair! Smith Rock State Park was AWESOME...i sure wish I was hiking with y'all. That waterfall amongst the snow was just absolutely STUNNING👍👍👍👍👍👍!
Hahaha we always wish we could share the food with y'all! So glad you enjoyed the video Al!
Oh my goodness, if one of you had to hike all the way back down for the camera when you started up the misery ridge trail, that's true dedication to your craft! Great video, as always.
Yup that was Kathryn this time! 😂🥵 She’s a trooper! Thanks, Michael!
I am a fairly new follower/subscriber and love your adventures and fun personalities. Your videos are informative and give us a wonderful glimpse of what our beautiful country looks like and has to offer from state to state to state. I’m an adventurer, too, so I share your heart for the love of travel, hiking, meeting the locals, the coffee shops, and all the things!!! My husband Paul and I hope to visit Oregon someday, and hopefully sooner than later. God bless you and keep you safe ~ Julie from Iowa
Thank you for being here! We try really hard to have a good blend of entertainment and information so that makes us feel good that we’re accomplishing that! We haven’t visited Iowa yet, but we’re excited to one day soon! Thanks, Julie! ❤️💙
Wow! There’s lots more to Bend than I ever imagined.
It is a very diverse area! And don't even get us started on the summer activities!
AWESOME, as usual! 😃
❤️💙 thank you!
