How I use the Strymon Mobius: Destroyer Mode

I love using the Strymon Mobius in Destroyer mode to add some texture, movement, and lofi vibes to my ambient loops. In this video, I'll walk you through the 4 main ways I use it in my own loops and give you examples of each!

Hi, I tried the Destryer setting in the wet side of a wet-dry situation with the mix control on “full effect” and it created such a lush chorus with lo-fi background. It sounded amazing! Have you ever tried that?

great vid! is there a way to control the detune? i would use just for vinyl/filter/bits but dont love the detuning

Thanks man! Yeah, the Depth knob controls the detuning so less depth is going to give you less of that sound.

do you put the 'destroyer' in pre-post and having it after bigsky?

Nope! I ran it in stereo and used it after the Timeline and before the Big Sky.

What is the destroyer? And can you have the effect with a pedal other than the mobius?

Honestly, it's a but crusher, a LoFi machine, and a filter all in one. That's the only way I know how to explain it. So far, Strymon has only put it in the Mobius and the LoFi delay in the Timeline. I did a video on that delay as well!
