Dude, you're my inspiration! Me and my buddy have been working hard over the last 2 months to take down a Medusa and sadly we are only 3 hearts into a basilisk. Everytime it seems like we can't do it I watch your videos... and realize how terrible I am :)

Lucky Kill, he almost ruined you. High Risk for a terrible reward, but this video was totally worth the view.
Its not just about the financial reward. Im sure the pride of the kill is worth a hell of a lot more than the credits, and it gives the community hope that we can defeat this threat. Id say alot was gained if you think about more than credits.
I'd say 10 million credits for blowing up one ship isn't so bad, especially considering that those interceptors can be taken down with various different ships these days, the Big 3, Krait mk2, Fer de lance, python all can or have taken on most all variants of the interceptor alone, and some crazy people have managed to kill the cyclops in 10 seconds, or with ships that nobody would ever think to bring into a human conflict, (sidewinder, adder etc.)

Dude, imagine that though. A sort of matchmaking system takes place at the job board to hunt down a Thargoid ship near a planet, collecting maybe 12 players. When the majority arrive near the planet, they can see this giant dust cloud forming on the surface, then suddenly a massive Thargoid ship emerges.
And then all 12 of them die lol

Just out of curiosity, seem like you put the Guass Cannons in the number 3 slots, and the lower number 2 slots, the flack cannons in the wing slots, was wondering about the Huge mount, why not another flack cannon? Power usage? And, did you deploy the fighter to hunt down Caustic Missile and take the hit? Inspiring flying.
osvcaptain I should have put another flak on the huge. The fighter is mainly there to distract.

Im almost sure that's not what devs intended, now they might be mad someone "dared" solo kill medusa... (Even after showing us new "toys" [guardian weapons])....
Im sure it was expected it would happen at some point. Especially with all the Guardian stuff theyve added. Only a matter of time til someone with good piloting skills and the right setup did it solo.
When you have the needed materials to get the guardian weapons do they unlock to purchase permanently or is it a one time buy?

I'm pretty sure they will nerf these weapons. The Medusa was added to the game for people to cooperate together as a team to take one down. And when the devs see this they will either make the Medusa have more health or nerf the weapons
Drakey Fenix I am hoping they will not do either of those and they will add higher threat thargoids like a mothership.
Also with his exceptional skill he barely survived with the fattest ship in the game that only few have access to so I do not think the Medusa will be going extinct anytime soon.
CarbonFox01 I agree with you. Not only did he fly like a pro, but fought the Medusa with one of the strongest ships in the game. BARELY won by the skin of his teeth, and he still has to limp back to a repair shop in 25 minutes with a malfunctioning power plant. (unless there's a way to repair such things without an AMF)
And to add the fact it took him almost 30 minutes with hit and run tactics to kill it. I don't think anything needs a nerf lol
It's not up to us to debate... Frontier doesn't care what we say and they will go through with what they think is right in the end anyways.
uhhuh, and now take into consideration that there are guys out there that can solo Medusa ... in COURIER ...
