Absolutely, especially the Gauss Cannon, if you can manage the heat you're fine. And yes, you can quad Gauss on Conda and solo a Basilisk, someone in the Anti-xeno Initiative did exactly that.
I'll have to take a look into that, I also need to grind a ton so I can either get a 2nd conda for xeno hunting or to re-outfit my current conda for it.
Great skills. You made me realize I should get another gauss instead of the large plasma charger. And a long range scanner! The FDL is fast, what about a Challenger?
I see so you have a fire group with two guass cannons and one with 4. Thought you were some how alternating two sets of guass cannons and still able to fire the FN from another key assignment like chaff or heatsink.
Good stuff. Been fighting Cyclopses in a for purpose Conda and FAS, been having more success in the FAS. Feel the speed is a real asset. After seeing this thinking of trying my PvP FDL out. What would you think of a mix of the Guass cannons and Plasma Chargers firing alternately for heat control? And what is your thoughts on resistances and the Thargoids?
osvcaptain thargoids ignore all resistances. You are best going for maximum hull/shielding in either case. Generally, the more hull you have the better off you'll be. Although, like gluttony demonstrates, speed is key as well. Cyclops clocks in at about 430-450m/s and basalisk at roughly 530-550m/s. Edit: spelling and grammer
Regular weapons do damage Thargoids a little, put you might as well be throwing pebbles at it... Anti-Thargoid weapons target the "hearts", there are four of them. As you may have guessed the Thargoid needs these to survive...
They also mentioned that the device to prevent the EMP from the thargoids is having problems with implementation on anything larger than what we can fly now. Capital ships and stations are left dead in the water

Someone in my Anti-xeno Initiative actually managed it today in a beefy Cutter. Took him 30-40 mins but he managed it, I need to step up my game, heh.

How are you assigning the Field Neutraliser? You obviously don't have it in a firing group. Great vid! Magnificent flying.

I still refuse to believe these things can kill capitals with ease given a player can gut them in a 1v1.
Although capitals are incredibly powerful, they are likely not outfitted with Anti-Thargoid weapons, you gotta kill them before they kill you...
