2 questions. How far and high can the drain line be run? I need to go up 4' and travel 18' before dropping 6' to drain pipe. Also, is using a PEX fitting for the drain ok to do? Thanks for the vid and the softener.
This video showed me the angles I wanted to see of the unit which I could not see on the amazon listing photos. Teflon on plastic threads for a hose fitting? Yikes!
The installation manual from the manufacturer (Pentair) says to use PTFE plumbing tape on the drain fitting. The supplied fitting is plastic hence the wraps are limited...to your point.
Just purchased WELL WATER SOFTENER AND IRON REMOVER WATER SYSTEM KDF85 48000 grain do I still need the aerator for the sulfur, with the kdf85 media guard?
Hi, When connecting the system to your plumbing there are a few ways you can do it! The easiest way we have found is with stainless steel installation hoses. For pex, you can use the 3/4” threaded to 3/4” push connect hoses. They thread onto the plastic yoke and then just push right onto your pex pipes. Hope that helps!- Aplus Water
Since you already have washers on you flexible hose connectors, do you really need teflon tape at that connection?
How much water do you need to add to brine tank at install? Some say you need to add and some say you don't have too.

Very helpful. The paperwork that came in the box for programming says the last step said "BR off" not "BF off" so you may want to fix that...

is 4-5 fie inches water above salt in brine tank to much 5600sxt 64 000
How much water and salt do you add to the brine tank before starting up the unit

you would also want to lube the inner o ring where the pipe connects to the control valve

my brine tank is overflowing why ?
look inside the brine well when its in the fill stage, make sure the nut is tight at the top, if it is lift up on the float and see if it stops.
