    Excellent video. I had to disconnect my water softener so I can get my garage floors painted. So when I went to go put the water softener back in I need a directions on how to set up. The best I've seen thus far.

    My Iron test reads 0.03 mg/l so do i add 15 to the H parameter (.03x5) or is 0.03 not even considered a 1. TIA

    I had watched other videos and were clear as mud! But yours Sir was very clear on every single step. So glad I watched your video, because I had set mine up completely wrong when I first installed it, fixed now though. Thank You and much appreciated!

    Hi, I have a Fleck Water Softener and it intermittently works. I’d have soft water for about 4-5 days and then hard water for about 6-8 days then back to having soft water. This has been going on for a few months now. I tried using Iron Out and pouring some in my brine and then regen my softener but it still didn’t fix my problem. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

      Hi, It sounds like you’re running out of capacity. If your system is old, it may be time to replace the resin. If it is not very old, double check your programming. You can try reprogramming the system to regenerate more often. - Aplus Water

    now after the system is live when the next regeneration is due does it do it by itself, or do you have to manually do it

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад

      Hi! Once the system is programmed properly, you will not have to manually regenerate it. It will automatically do that itself based on water usage or the day override setting. Hope that helps! -Aplus Water

    Thanks for this! The printed instructions I have seem rather cryptic. BTW...what does the code "RC" mean when the unit is not in programming mode? I am assuming the system is scheduled for re-charging at the designated time since the faucet symbol is also flashing.

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад

      Hi! You are correct! The RC on the screen just lets you know you are currently using water from the reserve capacity, which is programmed into the system to ensure you never run out of soft water. When you are in the reserve, the system queues up a regeneration for later that day so you have soft water tomorrow. Hopefully that clears that up! - Aplus Water

    I am so confused! On the hardness setting. Our hardness is 2.5 grains per gallon. I understand that three is the maximum you want. Our iron is 0.15 ppm. I understand that 0.3 is the maximum healthy. These numbers are so different from your description. Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks.

    First of all, thank you for making it clear about the 12:01.......I tried with the correct time of day with no success. The rest is programmed ok but how do you program the NUMBER OF GALLONS BEFORE REGENERATON? Mine just has four dashes. - - - - What does that mean and how do I program it?

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  7 месяцев назад +1

      The number of gallons should automatically be configured based on the capacity of the system, the hardness of the system, and the reserve setting. If you have the hardness cranked way up and the capacity set way low, you will experience the dashes. I would double check that your settings are set accurately. If you are still struggling, give us a call! - Aplus Water

    Had the 64,000 unit, it has run 2 cycles since it was installed about 3-4 weeks ago, last cycle a couple days ago. Level fills to about 1100, now down to 90 in 2 days, also says "rc" with blinking water faucet, what's going on? Of course always on weekend when you can't call anyone.

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  11 месяцев назад

      Hi, "rc" stands for reserve capacity. This means you are currently using the reserve of soft water that the system has built in through the programming. This is just to ensure you do not run out of soft water halfway through the day. When you see "rc" a regeneration gets queued up to occur later that night, hence why you see the blinking water faucet. 1100 gallons down to 90 in 2 days is really quick. This could be correct if there are a lot of people using the water. If you haven't already, though, I would double check that the programmed settings are correct and your hardness number is accurate. If everything looks accurate and you don't have a ton of water usage, check for leaks throughout the home (possibly a leaky toilet or something like that). We are in the office Monday - Friday 9am-4pm CST. Give us a call if you are still having issues! - Aplus Water

    I have the same unit that the clock is set to 24 hours instead of 12. How I can change to 12 hours.( I can not see the pm icon)

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  7 месяцев назад

      It sounds like the display format on your system is set to Liters instead of gallons. You will just set the clock to 12:01 and hold both arrow buttons down until DF LTR pops up. Change this setting to DF GAL and the clock will read in gallons and the 12 hour clock. Give us a call if you're still having issues!- Aplus Water

      Hi! We recommend periodically cleaning the injectors and the drain line flow control washers. If you have iron in the water, we recommend this about once a year or so. We have videos on how to access these as well on our channel! Glad to hear you're enjoying the videos! Thanks! -Aplus Water

    I loved the video however on one of the settings mine said OFF. How do I turn that on and my water symbol doesn't flash

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад

      Hi! If you see OFF on one of the settings, just use the up arrow to go past 0 and get to whatever value you need to get to! The water faucet symbol will only flash when a regeneration is queued up for that night, so it won't flash all the time. If you want to queue up a regeneration, tap the "cycle" button once and it should start flashing. Oppositely, if you see it flashing but do not want the system to regenerate, tap the cycle button once and it should stop. Hopefully that helps! - Aplus Water

    • @twiztid83222

      300 gallons is little to nothing. You will waste up to 65 gallons of water during a regen cycle for only 300gal of water use.

      Hi! If you see U1 it sounds like the system is programmed as a twin tank system. If you have a 9100 SXT, that is normal to see! If you have a 5600 SXT, it sounds like it is programmed incorrectly. Make sure your “NT” (number of tanks) is set to 1. Hope this helps! -Aplus Water

    Excellent video! I unfortunately don’t know my hardness or iron although I do know there is a lot of iron in our well water. By increasing by 5 for hardness does that make the water softer or less soft?

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад

      Great question! By changing the hardness number, it doesn't make the water softer or harder, it just determines how often the system is going to regenerate. We recommend testing the water with test strips in order to make sure the system is set up as efficiently as possible! Hopefully that helps! - Aplus Water

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад +1

      Hi! With a tankless water heater, you should start seeing soft water almost immediately! With a water heater that uses a tank, the cold water should be soft almost immediately, but the hot water may take a couple of days to catch up. Hopefully that helps!! - Aplus Water

    I just bought mine from Amazon with the very small meter. What setting do I use for that?

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад

      Hi, If you are talking about the turbine meter, then you would set the FM setting to t0.7 instead of P0.7. The turbine meter is very slim while the paddlewheel meter is dome shaped with 4 silver screws. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to us by phone or email as well! Thanks, Aplus Water

    Thanks for the great video. With regard to the day override, we go away for two months at a time. I turn the water and power off. Does the resin get damaged when left unused for two months?

    • @AplusWaterLLC

      Hi, The resin should be just fine! Just make sure wherever you are leaving it cannot freeze and it might also be a good idea to manually regenerate the system when you return! - Aplus Water

    Hello I have a dual tank system. When setting the grains settings do I need to double the number as there are two tanks? Each tank is about 7" by 40" high. Thank you

    • @AplusWaterLLC
      @AplusWaterLLC  Год назад +1

      Hi! When setting the capacity in the programming, set it to the amount of grains in one tank, not both. This is because only one tank is in service at a time. Hope that helps! - Aplus Water
