The problem with first time players is nothing would happen in the games for the first 10-15 mins and it wouldn’t be funny, it would be extremely boring watching people search for supply depots/pylons on the command card.
@@ZerglingLover I love IODIS, it’s my favourite YT series. That being said, literal first timers would be so horribly bad it would unwatchable. The people on IODIS likely have hundreds of hours into the game to reach this level of mediocrity. (Please note: I am equally as mediocre as the players featured on IODIS)
@@ZerglingLover the story is what makes IODIS interesting, that whole narrative and the offshoots it sprouts in funny Harstem allegories wouldn't be there in newbie pvp. edit: but Harstem could probably made anything funny to watch with sheer enthusiasm. 😂
@@thecanuc8587 I think first time ladder players would be good. Get people who have played the campaign on easy to medium but never got into the multiplayer side of things. They know the general units and tech trees but have never had to use a build order or micro.
@@bac1308 Now we we are talking! Campaigners know enough about the game to jump into ladder (while being slightly confused by the changes in the game), well also having the fear of understanding ladder. That’s the sweet spot!
As a fellow bronze player who plays maybe one game every few weeks. I can safely say we either wouldn’t build a reaper or know they can throw grenades 😅
I have never touched the game except for some direct strike arcade and I would absolutely love to participate in something like that even for no money lol
Also Dutch has the phrase "look through the fingers", as in ignore, turn a blind eye to? Because Russian has the same exact phrase meaning the same thing and they are fairly different languages.
I don't think people who had never touched the game would be entertaining. Need people who think they know what they're doing. Like when I used to play poker. Mid level poker players are hilarious. They think they are actually really pro. They get really mad. I used to just look in poker books for the weirdest strategies that were still viable. Messing with them was a bigger priority than winning money. If I did something they didn't understand they would yell at me and tell me I was playing wrong. It was super entertaining. I would just say nothing. I felt like if I just agreed with them that I was a bad player they might figure out I was lying. But I didn't want to explain poker to people who are yelling at me either. They deserve to lose money.
I love me a drone scout, but you can’t just scout and poke. It’s not cost efficient. You have to do something else with it. I always steal gas because I do not want to play against air. It works well for me.
About your tournament idea, sounds really good. As a player who has played only sc2 arcade TD modes (Squadron TD mainly), Im up to be humiliated by the audience if you need. Edit: I want also add that my gaming background is mostly FPS.

Gansini? Just 2 base all in against Zerg. If they all play like this at your level you'll hit diamond 1 or Masters quick
26:50 man weird that now all the tanks are gone the next fight i going to be impossible to hold
Its like factory units are good
Honestly gg? He just should have made more mines and tankes
Yeah, absolutely some low level tournament would be hilarious to watch.
I never comment, but you should do the tournament! We did that in my group of friends and it was fun and hilarious. You haven't lived until you seen someone send in all their 'balloon men' not realizing that they don't attack
The problem with first time players is nothing would happen in the games for the first 10-15 mins and it wouldn’t be funny, it would be extremely boring watching people search for supply depots/pylons on the command card.
it’d be just as fun as IODIS, considering these guys do the same thing. Harstem is what makes the replays entertaining.
I'm liking the new format
I really enjoyed the hitman 1 and 2 reference, genious content and editing as always
i would sign up for the bronce tournament, only play coop, 2 ranked 2 lost
I would love to see 8 bronzes FFA. Pure chaos.
I've played 1 multiplayer games. I would participate in your tournament.
I would love to see a low-level sc2 tournament! Silver league would be awesome (because that is where I've been stuck for a decade)
@6:27 definately would support this idea
I almost fell off my chair laughing when you pointed out that the tank was attacking his own refinery. The micro/multitasking is on another level.
As a fellow bronze player who plays maybe one game every few weeks. I can safely say we either wouldn’t build a reaper or know they can throw grenades 😅
I have never touched the game except for some direct strike arcade and I would absolutely love to participate in something like that even for no money lol
Few days of new maps were enough for my PvZ winrate to go from 60/65% to 47%. Anybody experiencing the same thing or is just me?
Never played sc2 so I offer myself up as tournament content. Would love to watch that for sure.
Also Dutch has the phrase "look through the fingers", as in ignore, turn a blind eye to? Because Russian has the same exact phrase meaning the same thing and they are fairly different languages.
i think my life goal is to be on iodis, but only as the opponent
So would it still count if I didn't play starcraft but I watch it could I still qualify for a noob tournament
Low level noob league sounds like a million dollar idea!
It’s so depressing to see games from exactly your level and know this is how bad you are.
How is it episide 109 when the playlist has almost 150 episodes? (With some missing for some reason).
Insane editing
Nice job
Thanks ^^
harstem there is no cn server anymore, so the cn check box is no longer needed in the intro letter
Bronze league tournament reminds me of the old LAGTV cheese only tournaments.
I miss the When Cheese Fails series, good stuff.
I volunteer for that bronze player tournament, I’m at least as trash as the Terren in this video
PLEASE MAKE A BRONZE TOURNAMENT ILL GET MY MOM TO PLAY
hahah newb gaming competition would be great! i haven't played an RTS since red alert tyberian something... would be hilarious to watch
I havent touched the game for 8 years does it count as new player?
I love me a drone scout, but you can’t just scout and poke. It’s not cost efficient. You have to do something else with it. I always steal gas because I do not want to play against air. It works well for me.
Harstem i have been plating starcraft for a few months only, and i started because of you, and i would love to participate in a noob tournament
Hell yeah! Do a tournament for bronze and silver players!! That would be awesome to watch.
Please beat grandmaster's whilst show casing as much of protoss utility, units, spells etc as possible in one game.
I remember an IODIS episode with a Protoss bingo, maybe he could so that?
I'd love to watch some low league competitions, that sounds absolutely amazing.
About your tournament idea, sounds really good. As a player who has played only sc2 arcade TD modes (Squadron TD mainly), Im up to be humiliated by the audience if you need.
Edit: I want also add that my gaming background is mostly FPS.
I've dabbled in video editing and I'm starting to get seriously annoyed about how Hamster is just casually flexing with new awesome edits in ever single IODIS :x
Get r3kt!
Can we go back to writen loss counters?
I played SC1 and BW, but haven't played SC2. I would know hot keys, but I haven't played in years so I enjoy watching other people play sc2.
You're a content MACHINE!
I have never played any sc2!
I'll volunteer as tributes the bronze tourney. My play experience is finishing the campaign over 4 years ago.
Did he destroy his ownrefinery with a SCV at 13:46?
I like the idea of putting people behind sc2 while they nevet played it.
