- Well, here we are! At the beginning of another volleyball season and starting to work on our volleyball game. Whether you're inspired by a volleyball anime, the Olympic volleyball teams, a family member, or a friend, we have all come together to learn more about the game. I have seen some things in my volleyball career that just DON'T work out very well. Some of the things that need to be better controlled are:
Running With Your Platform - 1:15
Turning Your Back to The Court - 2:03
Running As If You're Going To Set - 3:13
Improper Rest Position - 4:15

My school doesn't have a volleyball team and there are no teams near me, I still enjoy watching the videos tho! I'll probably just play volleyball at like the beach and at home tbh😂

i’m a junior in high school and i’m trying out for VB this year, i tried out in 7th and 8th grade but didn’t make the team both times and by 9th grade i was too nervous to try out again but i finally decided to try again but i’m super nervous, i’m definitely not awful at volleyball but i’m far from good 😂

I missed the tryouts for grade 10 because a family member passed away, so I'm doing drills through the summer for grade 11. This really helped my confidence, thank you. Hopefully they don't mind I missed the first year😬

Thanks for the tips! I’m trying out for the first time on 7th grade next year and I’m going to practice a lot this summer. I’ve only played sand before so I’ll have to adjust to indoor volleyball.
edit: I’m in 8th grade and made the team in 7th and 8th, I was an outside hitter! I also did a club. I’m going to try out in highschool, although it’s very competitive, I’m gonna work on passing this summer

Hey Koko, I have a question concerning where to practice volleyball. I haven’t touched a volleyball since 8th grade and even though I was told to try out so many times, I couldn’t because of my marching band schedule (marching band and volleyball always interfered, and the band director was very strict on attendance, so adjusting would not have happened.)
I just graduated high school and playing volleyball has been on my mind now considering I’m heading into college and won’t be in a marching band as the school doesn’t have one, but would love to play something (if the college allows first time players) I dearly enjoyed playing in gym and with friends back when I was in eighth grade.
Concerning my question, I live in a small city and we only have beach volleyball courts. I want to play indoor volleyball courts for a number of reasons (always had more fun playing indoors, more teammates, more positions, and an uniform that covers more skin), but I do not know whether practicing indoor volleyball on a beach court would be the go to when there is no indoor volleyball courts that are available to the public.
Should I either practice on a beach court or just buy a net for my home in the background (if playing indoor volleyball outside on the grass is okay)

heyyy koko!!! i’m having trouble serving! i’m pretty short so that could possibly be it but i’m not sure. i serve pretty good but it’s never high enough or strong enough!
Last year bc of covid we had barely enough people for the team. We never switched out, so while the other team was switching, I rested with my hands on my knees. As soon as they were done, hands came off the knees :)
