Sorry about the cicada in the beginning! I swear he wouldn't leave me alone! haha. I hope that you all like this video and learn more about how to overhand serve so that you too can be confident about your serves! Keep Playing, Coach KoKo ♡
Coach Koko, you are so awesome and have really helped me become a better volleyball player. My school doesn't have a team but I found a local club that I'm gonna try out for. You gave me the confidence to actually tryout. Thank you so so much!
Koko I just wanted to say thank you for your previous serving videos. They helped me so much last year. I could never get a serve over but in about 3-4 weeks I went from zero to 24 aces in a set once. My coaches were so proud of me and it made me feel good and confident about myself. Thank you so so much
Guys: If you have someone you hate, then take your anger at them out by serving. But do the correct technique just take our your anger at a designated person that you dont like
I always suck at serving even though I listened to most advices, but still, I will not lose hope on practicing volleyball. Thank you for your videos Coach Koko!

I went to a volleyball camp over the weekend and it was about 8 hours of volleyball a day. I was really looking forward to learning some tips for helping me serve, but not one coach bothered to help me. I have to learn on my own now!
Bruh, my coach tells me I will figure it out with time, but I obviously will not if I don't know what mistakes I am making! And then she tells all of us that she doesn't have time to teach us to serve. Like, what? We are obviously struggling, instead of giving us useless drills, go over the form and give us tips to improve, not say we will eventually figure it out. Smh.

Of course you should try out! I didn't start playing until I was in the 10th grade and you know what? I made the team! You have nothing to lose by trying out and you'll never know unless you try.
FIRST, Thank you Koko for all the tips! This really will help my daughter get her confidence up with her serves. Now, I understand that it is never too early to develop the overhand serve skill set. My issue is, why there is soooo much emphasis on it at the younger age groups (middle school and under)??? As a coach, maybe you can help some of us understand the reasoning. Players can and will win games just by getting the serve over the net and scoring points on serve. A well placed underhand serve can be just as much of an opportunity for the team as that curving, smashed, overhand, jump serve. I feel that alot of smaller players are discouraged from playing just because they are not really physically developed enough to consistently hit the overhand. And it saddens me that so many are cut from tryouts for this one and only one reason. Play on girls! Don't let any setback keep you down! Remember that many pro and elite athletes were cut from their highschool and college teams. They used that to motivate them to become the elite players they are today!! Keep your head up and play hard!

We played volleyball in P.E once We had proper volleyballs but they made us use dodgeballs for some reason it just didn’t work out and the teachers didn’t care
thx for this. the ms coach told me serving over won’t determine whether or not i make the team but i still don’t wanna look like a fool and underhand it all the time. mostly it’s just me not tossing it high enough or keeping my back straight. thx!
I love your videos sm koko! Times are tough but your videos inspire, help, motivate and give me a lot of positivity❤ My serves used to be absolutely terrible, but thanks to you, I've learned to perfect my float serve and I cant wait for my v-ball tryouts
Thank you so much for this video! I had tryouts for the past few days and I unfortunately didn’t make either team but this will definitely help any future try outs!
I’ve always wanted to try out for the volleyball team but sadly in my new school they don’t do any clubs or anything like that also I’m like a ✨𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙔✨short person (I’m around 4’10) and I do get criticised a lot for saying that I want to play volleyball and I find it really annoying but I still wanna play. Also, my parents don’t let me go to any outdoor activities and stuff so I couldn’t join like a local club or something even tho there’s literally a sports centre just a cross the road from where I live- Kinda sad since it’s always been my dream to play volleyball (and/or basketball) and maybe even play at a tournament but I guess life doesn’t always go the way you plan😞😅 (Great vid btw! I’m probably never gonna get a chance to try out stuff like this but I still really enjoyed the video!! Keep up the good work Koko!!)☺️💕
I’m 13, and for the life of me I cannot serve over the net. I get it pretty far off, I make sure I’m not leaning back or forward too much or throwing the ball in a weird angle. And I still can’t get it over my net at home which is about 7 ft. I’ve tried and I tried and the closest I’ve gotten is it bouncing off in the middle of the net. I try hitting it gently, it doesn’t go far, I try to hit it hard and it does a rainbow. I try to do it just in between and it goes under the net. Then I try to go higher and jump higher and I end up missing the ball and falling straight on my face. It’s so frustrating… This is my 2nd day over like 4-5 hours practicing and taking breaks, and I still can’t do it. I get so frustrated, and now all I’m left with is a sore arm. I’m doing this during the summer so I can get into the middle school volleyball team. I’ll edit this when I get it over the net, prob 5 years from now.
Every once in a while I have my daughter do this wall drill: First have the player stand next to a wall at home. Shoulder of serving arm flush against the wall. Raise that serving arm against the wall. Put a piece of painters tape on the wall to mark where their hand reach. Have player gently toss the ball up to that tape with tossing arm. My daughter used to do this drill 20x every night before bed until she was consistent with her serves. She still does every once in a while just to keep on top of her tosses. I hope this helps someone out there. I know it really helped my daughter

I got into my highschool jv team, even though him not in varsity I’m not disappointed because at least I made the 10 people cut, and now that we’re 5 days into practicing I realize that I’m good at serving when it’s under pressure but not when we all serve together

Your videos are so helpful for my volleyball try-outs this week.. I'm having a lot of trouble serving overhand and I've watched a lot of your serving videos and I have more confidence! thank you
I have an open session on sunday! im 13 and ive never played before so im going to some open sessions before an actual try out so i have a bit of experience but this channel has helped me so much!
I’m 4’11 and I get so nervous when I serve because I’m short and it always hits the net, but I’m trying to get it over the net and this helped with my tosses Thanckyou! Still can’t get the ball over the net but I’ll keep trying ❤️
When I do my jump serve I just don’t know how high to throw the ball. I sometimes hit it but I sometimes don’t. But I’m kinda getting the hang of it.
We played volleyball in P.E once
We had proper volleyballs but they made us use dodgeballs for some reason it just didn’t work out and the teachers didn’t care
last time I was this early, I was taller :(
thank you for the video!!
LOLL
shoyō hinata hinata i’m a huge fan :D
i am half an inch taller than you h a h
thx for this. the ms coach told me serving over won’t determine whether or not i make the team but i still don’t wanna look like a fool and underhand it all the time. mostly it’s just me not tossing it high enough or keeping my back straight. thx!
this helps a lot because i have tryouts in febuary and most the time i have me form wrong so it doesnt go over. so thank you!
I love your videos so much I have gotten a lot better because of you! Thank you!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

The bow and arrow really helped a lot. Thank you Koko
I love your videos sm koko!
Times are tough but your videos inspire, help, motivate and give me a lot of positivity❤ My serves used to be absolutely terrible, but thanks to you, I've learned to perfect my float serve and I cant wait for my v-ball tryouts
I am ok at serving and I can make it over half of the time. I can't wait to test out these drills!

I have volleyball tryouts on Monday these are helpful thank u!
this helped me so much as a beginner!! thank you!
I feel so comfortable watching Koko's videos
Thank you so much for this video! I had tryouts for the past few days and I unfortunately didn’t make either team but this will definitely help any future try outs!
I’ve always wanted to try out for the volleyball team but sadly in my new school they don’t do any clubs or anything like that also I’m like a ✨𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙔✨short person (I’m around 4’10) and I do get criticised a lot for saying that I want to play volleyball and I find it really annoying but I still wanna play. Also, my parents don’t let me go to any outdoor activities and stuff so I couldn’t join like a local club or something even tho there’s literally a sports centre just a cross the road from where I live-
Kinda sad since it’s always been my dream to play volleyball (and/or basketball) and maybe even play at a tournament but I guess life doesn’t always go the way you plan😞😅
(Great vid btw!
Bestie I’m in the exact same position as you, we’ll get it some day
I just started in my 5th grade volleyball and just CANNOT get my serves over the net! This video helped a lot 😊
Every once in a while I have my daughter do this wall drill:
First have the player stand next to a wall at home.
I know it really helped my daughter
originalmrgrta Thank you! I’ll try this and hopefully it’ll help me improve 😊
Ace. Gxard I got the tip from a video on here a couple of years ago. I'll try to find it and post the link. It really helps to see it on video.
Look up Volleyball Home Drill-Serving J Peter's.

I didn’t do good on the first day of try outs. A lot of people had the coach ask them their names but not me. I worked so hard and practiced so damn hard and nothing.
I’m not giving up. Tomorrow is the second day and I really need to get my serving in check. Thanks KoKo😁
Did you make it?
I know how to serve and do the techinique it’s just like I have no power to get it over at all like how do I fix that?
Thank you so much! this helped a lot, I will be having a volleyball game next week and I improved a but by this, thank you again!!♡
Thank you! This was so much help! P.s love your vids
I totally hope that it helps!
I got into my highschool jv team, even though him not in varsity I’m not disappointed because at least I made the 10 people cut, and now that we’re 5 days into practicing I realize that I’m good at serving when it’s under pressure but not when we all serve together
