Thank you so for the info! I don't know if the rumors are true, but some UCG creators have said that they have to pay a lot of taxes because the "gift" turned out not to be gifts, gifts and they are forced to pay thousands of dollars in taxes on them.
Great point that you bring up! There are certain contract clauses and tax clauses that brands can use, so that the gifting is more favorable to creators - but I'd ask a tax professional :) These thing aren't black and white - lots of grey area - would need to do more digging into this!
Love the idea of UGC just really scared to try it out because Im a uni student who has heard that the amount of brands you take in you then later have to pay extremely high taxes for them. How has that been like for you?

Ah great question - it's mostly a US thing for now... :)
It is I see east Africans doing it and I have seen it here in Dubai don't be discouraged, create videos and work on your portfolio and go for it
