After the 28 days of the lash and brow serum...how do you use it? Do you continue with twice a day always?

Hi Stacy so I just received my monat about a week ago, I purchased the renew shampoo and the smoothing conditioner, BUTT idk if I’m using the right products for my hair🤦‍♀️ i have blonde damaged, DRY, over processed fine hair. But I was thinking of using the renew shampoo with the intense repair conditioner. What would you reccomend?

April Salas the renew is good for hydrating the hair. Theres actually a platinum shampoo for blondes that is great also.

Wait what?? You use the masque before the conditioner?? I have always done the mask after a conditioner. Does that matter?? I have been using Monat since Feb and don't believe I have gotten the results people have talked about. I know for months I was using it incorrectly so that was definitely a factor but my hair seems so tangled all the time so I have started using the IRT shampoo and conditioner

Hi Stephanie! Yes. After washing twice and removing excess water, you distribute the masque throughout your hair. Leave on 5-10 minutes, and rinse well. At this point, if you are using the Hydration system, you can towel dry hair and use leave-in conditioner (do not rinse out). My favorite though, is to follow masque with Revitalize or the Smoothing conditioner in the shower, let sit 2 minutes, then rinse and style as usual. It is KEY to follow masque with a conditioner. The masque is a protein treatment and it needs to be sealed in with conditioner. The conditioner actually closes the cuticle to lock in moisture. Too much masquing without conditioning can lead to dry hair. I'm so sorry about the tangling and not WOW experience you are having. Most likely, you are not using the right products. If your hair is tangly, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the IR line. I would stick to either Revive or Renew and Revitalize conditioner, masque once per week. Make sure you aren't using any other styling products than Monat. Monat works to remove buildup and if you are using other products in conjunction, you could just be prolonging the whole detox process. (I did this for months too... I kept using my old shampoo and straightening balm and my hair never got through the tangly phase until I stopped.) Give it a shot! I wish you the best!

The AntiHouseWife Thank you for your advice/input! It's hard not to use other products though bc I have so many from before I started using Monat and don't want to throw them away! Lol Especially when I don't have the Monat leave in conditioner yet. It's on my next flexship order tho! I do want to ask, what would you suggest in place of redken iron shape thermal protecting spray?

Thick hair? Your hair doesn’t look thick... at all. You can tell when people have thick hair (especially people who have thick hair). We can tell right away whether someone has thick hair or not.
