The empire is one of my most favorite factions in warhammer fantasy and I never really understood the role of Sigmar in all of it until I did a bit more research. The warhammer fantasy world is truly one of my favorite things in the whole of fantasy.
@@thegametroll6264 It was badly written and had multiple characters just disappear and be forgotten about. It wasn't dark it was incredibly boring and had to be rewritten a few times to even have anything good come out of it.
@@thegametroll6264 Oh please, people focus on the setting as if it was actually a well-written story. The setting existed, first and foremost, to sell little toy soldiers. It stopped selling those toys over a decade ago in a steady terminal decline until GW relaunched it with a new one. It makes for fantastic lore videos and a stellar Total War game, but as someone who dipped my toes into it during 8th and switched to AoS afterwards, it really wasn't all that. The setting still exists, and that was the best part of it.
I just keep thinking how much the Dwarves would love these guys, for their tendency to fight on foot, to fight with hammers and most of all, the beautiful flowing beards, since I know Dwarves tend to bemoan humans for their lack of proper beards.

GW marketing is braindead they jerk off for years do nothing as far as they are concerned their sales magically rise and they think they are doing something right, in reality 90% of the growth i bet is from people getting interested in total war warhammet and fan animations and noe they kill fan animations ... nice job GW
That's just one of the things that make Warhammer fantasy so interesting. There's just a ton of lore about everything which makes in depth videos like these feasible

The kingdoms of men are truly some of the most interesting in the lore. I cant wait for all the additional legendary lords and heroes and sfo for warhammer 3, combine that with ovn lost factions and some additional legendary units. This will truly be an exspansive game series.

This videos are awesome, I could almost believe these are real historical units. As for what to cover next, well personally the Shadow Warriors have always had a special place in my heart.
Need to do a video of the Knights of the White Wolf. They are by far my favorite Empire Knight Regiment outside of the hilarious Mercenary Knights Volands Ventors from the Dogs of War.
In the books, Sigmar once climbed up the rock where Middenheim would would be and he was thinking of how stupid it was that his bravado got him so miserable hahaha I think it was an exerpt from Empire by Graham Mcneil
This would be a real world episode, but IDK much about the Spanish Tercios. They appear to be the inspiration for the Imperial state troops. So that might be a fun episode.
@trueblueprussian 23 I know, but that style of fighting pioneered by the Spanish and Portuguese became the dominant way militaries across Eurpoe organized their infantry from the 1500's through the middle of the 1600's.

Empire is 100% receiving a Ulric themed DLC in game three, but you will have to wait years (first dlc's will all be for game 3 factions). Likely an Ar-Ulric dlc lord and proper Boris as a free update
I mean These have been really great. As much as I love warhammer, its lore, for better or for worse, feels like a 12 year old discovering heavy metal music for the first time. Your voice just makes it so much more grandiose and wonderful keep going, its great! Also while any unit would be cool can we get some lizardmen in the house.

Love these videos. As a Dark Elf fan, I have to recommend Witch Elves or Har Ganeth Executioners. Dan Abnett's "Warpsword" is a great source of information about both, but I guess Indy knows that already. The character of old and grizzled Grand Carnifex of Khaine is absolutely sick.

We tend to underestimate human factions in warhammer, but some of them are also blessed by gods just like Chaos warriors.
