Video is a couple years old and still has the EXACT information I needed to make an informed choice. Thanks for posting your review and thoughts on the machines. ☺️
I have the 625 sewing machine was a problem when I first turned it on, the screen would turn on and would show some pictures but none of the buttons would work. So I read the book and how to solve problems with your machine and it said to touch your finger on the screen and turn the power switch on and off. Worked great after that.
I sewed for the first time a few months ago in class for work, it was an older sewing machine with a foot pedal. Thanks for the review it really helped me make the decision for my wife's present.
I really like the se625 cutting feature when you're sewing it cuts the top and bottom automatically it's great. You do not have to pull threads you can continue sewing.
Hi, Nate ! Really enjoy your videos ! How do create you own designs to stitch out ? What program do you use for that ? Thanks for all the information !
I have had a PE 770 for years now and they are BEASTS! They embroidery at least 1000 stockings each year for the last 7 years and I have only had one failure because I did not clean the machine ( I was new to the world of embroidery) I now have 2 PE 770s and they are awesome. I was curious about the SE600 and you have answered those questions. ( I figured smaller hoop, but color display sounds nice! Especially for hose multi color designs.) Very informative video!
I became disabled 5 years ago and I started sewing. Have to do something. Then I went to embroidery. I enjoyed your video. I subscribed will check out more of your videos.
Great presentation on the differences of the two machines, Mr. Matthews. I'll write this, the 770 does tell you of what color of thread to use before the machine continues to embroider. The 625 has that 2 in 1 feature. Myself personally have a basic sewing machine . I've been sewing by machine for 4 years. If you can take the time? You can use the your 2 in 1 to practice sewing on scraps of fabric. On the long run you can sew on your killer looking patches on your clothes . Thank you for pointing out the differences of the two machines. You've made a stronger case for me to get a Brother 770. Since I already have a sewing machine. In the motto of my favorite English club, Birmingham City, "Keep Right On!". Hope to see more videos in the future.
your video really helped me to make a decision. I like the usb for making my own designs. I understand from other users that the se 625 is difficult. I will sse. Thanks
I was looking to buy another sewing machine and came across you video; and I'm so glad I did. Your video was very informative. I absolutely love how you got to the point. I never did embroidery but I will definitely start. Thank you
I’m a true beginner to Embroidery, but I brought a new machine from Hobby Lobby, for $400., returning it tomorrow for full return. I didn’t know what I was buying, I needed the Sewing/ Embroidery. I know how to sew, but not embroidered yet, ego to learn, I do want to purchase SE625 What Website to purchase from...... Thanks your site was so helpful and the 🧨. again Thanks 😊
I'm just waiting for my se625 to arrive from the US... I'll have to get a plug adapter though..I hope that won't be too tricky as I'm itching to play with it! I had the 955 which didn't have the colour screen, which like you, I feel is essential. I love your videos by the way.
Great review! Thanks for doing this comparison. My 50+ year old Kenmore sewing machine died in the middle of a project last night and I'm looking at new machines to purchase. I've always wanted one that did embroidery too, but I'm ignorant about features and things to watch for. You answered a bunch of my questions. I think I'm going to click "buy" on this 625 because of your review. Thanks again!
Thanks a million for your knowledge. I just purchased a Brother PE 800 on yesterday. How do you make your own digital designs? ?? (I'm a senior 👵) lol Will be looking forward for more of your videos . 👍
How does the SE625 handle sewing heavier fabrics? My old Singer from 1993 doesnt have the power to sew heavier material like Denim? I like the idea of having a sewing machine that can embroider and sew which is great for making vintage inspired clothing.
FINALLY ordered the Brother SE600.. Should be here Saturday.. I'll let you know how it goes.. Thanks for the video.. It definitely helped me decide which machine to buy!!
Loved your videos. I am getting into embroidery. Machine. Bought an expensive Destiny. I loved your video because you confirmed my dislike for those designs not my style. Thank you
Hi Nate. I enjoyed your video. I purchased the se635 a year ago. I having trouble threading the upper thread. It would be a blessing to learn how to use this machine. Its starts out making this design then comes up its not threaded correctly. I dont know what to do
Please, please keep up the great work! Rookie?! Snort!! You are far too modest. So how much was this machine pre-pandemic? Have one coming next week at $380, but if that's a gouge job, I'll sit back and wait. Not in that much of a hurry to replace my 50 y/o hand-me-down machine -just want to do more. Thanks!
Hi Nate. Great information to get me get my new machine. I just came close to your videos when searching information on brother imbroirery .what can you tell me about it I'm having problem downloading design in USB then to the machine and thank you so much in advance
Thank you for this video! As I am a beginner, quick question. I am interested in the 625 but was wondering if it’s possible to still do a larger embroidery just by cutting the image in half? Or by doing one word first and then the other by repositioning the material? Did I make sense?
Im MAADDD late on this but someone else just asked basically the same question when I seen your comment. The answer is in the video: ruclips.net/video/Ny4q28wASgQ/видео.html 🤭
Thank you! Your information to explain the differences were very helpful! Can you also do a video to explain how you can transfer your own designs through a USB to do? TY!
Hi! Thanks for this!! I just got mine and would love to see you do something on the machine. I am so excited to be able to embroider!! Do you have a video of you setting it up?
Hi Nate, Good video. I sent a message to you on Facebook asking a question about the PE770. While doing my research I found the PE800 which is an upgrade to the 770. The 800 has a color screen. So I purchased it. This video helped me make my decision. Thanks so much.
Nate Matthews It would be awesome to see a video on the PE800. I got mine in the mail a few days ago and I am so intimidated that I haven’t plugged it in yet. Of course I ordered some supplies but I feel like I am at a standstill on what supplies to use and how to get started. I will be looking forward to seeing your video on the PE800. Again, thanks.
Just to confirm, you can make your own designs using the Brother SE625. Do you have tutorials or suggestions with what programs you used for your own designs? This vid was very helpful. Thanks.
Nichole I Use Stitch Era Liberty . I use a subscription for a year which cost me about $20 (£15) from www.sierra-software.com/Sites/Products/StitchEraLiberty/StitchEraLiberty.aspx saves me having to spend $1000 on the software .
Great video bro, I wish everyone made videos like this lots of information and straight to the point. Every question I would have asked you answered👌🏽 thank you!
Just want to make sure I understood everything. The 625 and 600 are identical except the 600 has a disc of images, etc. Also, can you import graphics to embroider into the machine?
What I haven’t seen is if you can stitch designs directly into a garment like a hoodie, is that possible with these machines? I’d rather bypass having to still have to stitch it by hand and just finish the design directly on to the garment for simple small logos. Thanks in advance!
I've been looking for a sewing machine that can do more than that!! I came across your video on RUclips, and I want to thank you for posting information on different machines. I got the info I was looking for, now I am ready to purchase one.!!!! Thanks a lot. Stay safe :)
Thanks for this video! I just bought an SE625 today on impulse. I needed to replace my old sewing machine and found the SE625 on clearance for $99! I really only needed a sewing machine but for an extra $10 over the basic machine I opted for the combo. This review makes me feel a little better, hearing that it's a good machine. All the options are a little intimidating for someone who's never had an embroidery machine, but I'm excited to play with it and see what I can make!
I found it at my local WalMart in the clearance aisle. It had been opened and when I asked if I could unpack it to make sure nothing was missing the employee said she had just put it on the floor 5 minutes before I spotted it and been called away before she could tape it up. She said it had been an online order and was returned, that it had been tested before it went on the sales floor and seemed to work fine but they didn't normally carry that model in that store so it was marked down and sent to the clearance aisle. When I got it home I found that someone had underlined the website address for troubleshooting problems in the instruction book so I was a bit nervous, but I've been using it quite a bit for both sewing and embroidery and have had no issues. I made some customized Christmas gifts with it and they were all hits!
joseph arthur I'm fairly new to this but I do know if you want to embroider on a pocket, you will have to remove the pocket, embroider it and then sew the pocket back on. If anyone else reads this and has another method, I would love to hear it too.

I have the SE600. Lovin the color display also! Question, will the machine ONLY recognize a 4x4 design? Using a bigger hoop can I import a larger design or just continue a pattern without having to rehoop? Thanks in advance.
HI Nate Really enjoy your videos how dónde you de create you own designs to stich out? What program do you use for that? Do you hace tutorials how to do our own designs? I Really appresiate all te information
Very helpful video! I have one question though, is it worth getting the SE625 when it only gives you a space of 4x4 to embroider? I like that the other machine gives you more choices is space of embroidery. I’m new to this, so I’m think more choices is better? Let me know what you think? Thank you
@NeverDenyMe if you don't mine me asking, I would like to do a purchase price comparison. How much did your Brother SE 625 cost you. I am watching one now that is just under $400. I am noticing both your hat embroidery designs has more then one color. Do you have a video on how to alternate threads for a multiple color design if not that would be a wonderful tutorial to add to the knowledge of the Brother SE 625 machine, and one other questions can you use any of your additional embroidery attachments that are larger then the ones that came with the SE 625 on that machine.
Hello. My brothers se625. I’m using the sewing side and I noticed my bobbin case keep needing to be replaced. My bobbin thread keep snagging and I have to keep readjusting the screw on the side. Please help
First off your videos are so helpful! Was wondering with the 625 do all your designs have to be 4x4 or will the machine handle smaller designs within that 4x4 hoop? Also is there any other way to make vector files to transfer over to the embroidery machine besides Adobe illustrator I believe you use?
Thank you Nate!, you’re a God send, this video was very helpful and well detailed. Thank you again I believe the SE625 will be a good choice for me as well.
Thank you so much for great info, especially showing that this machine makes embroidered patches. Question, will this machine embroider any design that is uploaded? Another question, how do you know when change thread color to correspond with design?
Is the small hoop size 1 wide by 2 high? And does it actually embroid this size or is that the ring size but embroids smaller? Reason I'm asking is i have a logo that's 1.9 high by 0.9 wide I'm getting ready to use m SE625 that i ordered because of your video
Hello Nate thanks for the video great information. I also have the large hoop (13x 6) I can’t make my machine recognize that hoop. What is your trick? I setup my design in BES transfer to USB and plug into machine and it will not read the larger design.
What about the se600 is not almost the same as the se625? ..... by the way, but these machines do not grab any kind of presser, right? That is, as well as the industrial machines that you can put any presser on, since the part where the needle goes is higher, you can put presser feet for hem and those presser feet, some are large, and that is my biggest doubt. I don't know if the sign or the sign can take any kind of pressure...
The machines include all of the necessary presser feet, the information is posted on the Brother website and in the manuals that accompany the machine.
You said that after you sewed the patch with the Brother PE-770 you stitched it by hand. So does that mean with the Brother SE-600 you can embroider and stitch it via the sewing machine?
my daughter and i are looking to get into some sewing and embroidery :-) with 2020 coming up, is the SE600 still the running model? is there a new model coming out? i couldn't find the SE625, but really i don't need a disk of designs.
Dainis Michel then get the SE600 I love this machine! A great new skill machine for sure! Because you will spend additional supply money to get set up, not just the cost of the machine! It already has designs and letters programmed! It’s a great machine!!!!

Which one did you go with?
@@shantelrscott the se600 but there is a newer model, se700. Not sure when it came out but for me it’s too expensive. I’m happy with my se600!
For a rookie, you explained things well. Good job!

What's your dream machine to get?
Thank you so much for saying the difference between the se625 and se600
No problem! Thanks for watching 😎

What I haven’t seen is if you can stitch designs directly into a garment like a hoodie, is that possible with these machines? I’d rather bypass having to still have to stitch it by hand and just finish the design directly on to the garment for simple small logos. Thanks in advance!
With the SE625 can i enbroid any size between the minumum and maximum sizes with the larger hoop?
What starter machine would you recommend for hats and jerseys to make for little leauge baseball?
Where did you find it on clearance for $99?
Yes, please tell us where you found the SE625 for $99.00, thank you.
Some Walmart’s had them on clearance.
You got a steal, mine was $299 and I thought I had a bargain !

Can you do a video on how to Embroider Aprons? - and if its possible (not needed) but embroidery on a "pocket" of the apron?
joseph arthur I'm fairly new to this but I do know if you want to embroider on a pocket, you will have to remove the pocket, embroider it and then sew the pocket back on. If anyone else reads this and has another method, I would love to hear it too.
Which software do you use to convert your PDFs to a PES with your brother SE625?
Nice! You got skills!! Great advice. Was just looking at the SE600 model. How is the 625 with regular sewing?
Hello, I got a brother SE600 as a gift from my uncle in the US. It was sent to me in Nigeria.
Can this be used here?
I noticed the power rating for the sewing machine is 120V and here in Nigeria, we use 240V.
How can I use the machine in Nigeria?
Thank you.
I have the SE600. Lovin the color display also! Question, will the machine ONLY recognize a 4x4 design? Using a bigger hoop can I import a larger design or just continue a pattern without having to rehoop? Thanks in advance.
I have a se625 and wondering if the pe770 is needed or if a repositional hoop will do for the 625
Thanks Nate. I just got the SE625...
HI Nate Really enjoy your videos how dónde you de create you own designs to stich out? What program do you use for that? Do you hace tutorials how to do our own designs? I Really appresiate all te information

Great video and great advice... I think the SE600 is going to be the winner for me...
Thank you brother. Please what's thé price of broder SE 600 and SE625
Links along with prices are in the description box of the video. www.NeverDenyMe.com
@NeverDenyMe if you don't mine me asking, I would like to do a purchase price comparison. How much did your Brother SE 625 cost you. I am watching one now that is just under $400. I am noticing both your hat embroidery designs has more then one color. Do you have a video on how to alternate threads for a multiple color design if not that would be a wonderful tutorial to add to the knowledge of the Brother SE 625 machine, and one other questions can you use any of your additional embroidery attachments that are larger then the ones that came with the SE 625 on that machine.

what do u think about the brother LB7000 PRW
👋🏾 Hello how can you enlarge the stored images on Pe625?
Hi Greetings from Sri Lanka. Can see 600 can work with larger hoops for embroidery?
First off your videos are so helpful!
Was wondering with the 625 do all your designs have to be 4x4 or will the machine handle smaller designs within that 4x4 hoop? Also is there any other way to make vector files to transfer over to the embroidery machine besides Adobe illustrator I believe you use?
I just bought the SE625 & looking for digitizing software, which digitizing software do you recommend?
How do you go about changing the color of the thread? How did you know when to?
Thank you Nate!, you’re a God send, this video was very helpful and well detailed. Thank you again I believe the SE625 will be a good choice for me as well.
Thank you so much for great info, especially showing that this machine makes embroidered patches. Question, will this machine embroider any design that is uploaded? Another question, how do you know when change thread color to correspond with design?
Is the small hoop size 1 wide by 2 high? And does it actually embroid this size or is that the ring size but embroids smaller?
Reason I'm asking is i have a logo that's 1.9 high by 0.9 wide
I'm getting ready to use m SE625 that i ordered because of your video
What Sizes Hoops Are Better for or that can fit??? The LB 7000
Demonstrate how to copy the designs to usb flash drive please!
excellent video! and thanks for showing the work. i've been trying to find demos that actually show the quality of the embroidery.
Thank you so much!! I’m a rookie and starting to get real good.
Do you have videos embroidering hats?
How do you or what do you use to make your designs. I make Jean purses a d jewelry
I bought a Brother SE 625 and I want to do custom logo embroidery. What embroidery software is a good buy and also for embroidery digitizing?
do you have a video on how you custom make your designs?
my daughter and i are looking to get into some sewing and embroidery :-)
with 2020 coming up, is the SE600 still the running model? is there a new model coming out? i couldn't find the SE625, but really i don't need a disk of designs.
Dainis Michel then get the SE600 I love this machine! A great new skill machine for sure! Because you will spend additional supply money to get set up, not just the cost of the machine! It already has designs and letters programmed! It’s a great machine!!!!
