I have an elaborate Janome machine 6700P and a separate embroidery machine Janome Memory craft 230E and am interested in the idea of combining the two into one machine. There are a few specific things the Janome 6700P gives me that I love, one being the button hole choices. I have never tried or even seen a Brother machine. I don't use the embroidery machine much at all as I teach sewing to beginner sewers and don't get much time for my own sewing. Id appreciate your opinion. Thanks, Dawne
I don't understand where you say that you'd like to combine the two machines into one. If you mean that you would like one machine that does both I'd definitely recommend going to your local dealer that has Brother machines or I'd even recommend going and checking out Pfaff machines. I also have a used Pfaff Creative 4.0 machine that can embroider up to a 360x350mm sized item. I knew after I bought my Brother SC625 machine that I wanted another machine that could embroider larger items. That's why I bought the Pfaff. I really do like Brother sewing machines though because they have a very good reputation and that they are one of the more common Brands of home embroidery machines. There are also a lot of professional embroidery creators that prefer using Brother machines. Also brother machines are very, very easy to use. I think what you would want to do it figure out your budget that you would want to spend and go from there. There are some really great priced models in Brothers and in Pfaff machines that can range from a couple hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. I know one of the machines I was looking at in the Pfaff dealership was $14,000.00 and I couldn't spend that much.
Hi Jenn. Thank you so much for your videos. I just discovered your channel. I have that sewing machine and now is not going on reverse. What should it be? Thank you so much if you in any moment see this massage and answer me.
Ok, I did a bit of research on possible reasons why reverse won't work. #1. The stitch you are using is to short, increase the stitch length to make it longer. #2. There could be lint impacted underneath the stitch plate. Remove the stitch plate and thoroughly clean all the lint out from under the needle and bobbin areas. If your manual is the same as mine it has directions for cleaning your machine on page 77. #3. Some stitches do not allow for reverse sewing. Make sure the stitch you are using can be used in reverse mode. If you have the same manual that I do stitches are listed in chapter 3 page 35. There is also a section in the manual on page 27 for sewing in reverse/reinforcement stitches and there's also on page 28 automatic reverse and reinforcement stitches. You might want to check those out. It's better that you read them because it's way too much information for me to include here. I really hope this helps you out.
Hello I recently got the brother se625 I absolutely love it and your videos have helped me a bunch. I have always had the older machines I was wandering if you could tell me the best app for embroidery designs that will let me upload my own as well as theirs

I still have not purchased any embroidery software. I just don't see myself needing it yet. My se600 is almost 5yrs old. All of a sudden my touchscreen of the machine is not working…..what should I do…need help as early as possible…thank you..
I'm really sorry I have not been able to answer you sooner due to some family medical problems that have kept me away. The only thing I can tell you is to try to take your machine to a sewing machine repair technician. Because it is a computerized machine there is basically no way to fix it yourself that I know of.
I have a brother se600. I'm using the embroidery. Can someone help me. I have everything in the right place, but when I push the green start button nothing happens. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
In order for the embroidery to start you have to go step by step through the editing. It's just something that the machine sees as a requirement. Definitely use your manual and follow it step by step. Sometimes it's the littlest thing that you forget to do that will stop it from not doing the stitch out when you push the green button
I get the error of check and rethread the upper thread.. The thread is not broke. I cut the thread and rethread the upper thread. Start the machine and after a few stitches, I get the same message.neddle changed .mamy videos see.try .but still problm not solved..u can help me
It's possible that there is a small piece of thread caught in the tension discs. You can take a piece of long cotton embroidery thread and run it through the tension discs. You can also use UNWAXED dental floss to clean them. Do not use regular dental floss because it's sticky and will cause lots of issues. Clean your machine completely under the bobbin and in that area then reassemble everything. Use a new bobbin and make sure the bobbin is wound correctly and put in the machine correctly, rethread the machine and try again. Also make sure your needle is all the way in the machine correctly and is tightened. The smallest piece of lint or thread can cause problems and even when it seems like you've done everything right lint or tiny threads can cause issues. If none of this helps you may have to take your machine to be checked out.
Oh No, that doesn't sound good. I know this may be a stupid question but is the embroidery unit attached correctly? Turn off the machine completely, unplug the power cords, remove the embroidery unit. Once you have the embroidery unit off of the machine check the plug portion of the unit to make sure nothing is in the plug / connection. Maybe dust or threads are in it. Once you know it's cleaned, plug all power cords back into the machine and turn it on. Let the machine calibrate itself. Then turn it off again, attach the embroidery unit and make sure it's connected completely. Then turn on your machine and let the embroidery unit calibrate. This is what the troubleshooting in my larger Pfaff machine says to do so maybe it will work for the Brother as well. I really hope it works for you. Good luck.
I bought mine at Walmart for $380.00 If you do an Internet search for a Brother SE625 Embroidery Sewing machine for your local area you can find a store that carries it or where you can order it online. I hope this helps you 🙂
hello very nice lady please kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew please kindly reply back OK?thank you very much 😊
There really isn't much to do with the foot pedal. You just step on it to sew and move your foot off of it to stop. Also, for this particular sewing machine the foot pedal only works with regular sewing. It does not work with the embroidery unit attached.
Yes, once you turn your machine on, select the button that's on the bottom left and that is your stitch selecting button and from there you can pick your straight stitch. Also on page 31, 35, and 46 in your manual it goes through your straight stitches. Definitely check out your manual because it is going to help you a lot.
Is it a needle that came with the machine when you bought it or a new one you bought? I ask because some needles just won't fit due to the top being to big. I bought some of the new brand they sell at Walmart and my machine hates them. I had to go buy the Singer brand. If that isn't what is wrong, make sure your needle screw is loosened a bit more and that the flat portion is towards the back. I know it sounds logical but sometimes something that can be easy is so frustrating
My se600 is almost 5yrs old. All of a sudden my touchscreen of the machine is not working…..what should I do…need help as early as possible…thank you..
The only thing I could recommend is to take it into a repair technician that works on Brother machines. I gave absolutely no idea how else you would come close to fixing it because that sounds like it has something to do with the computer in the machine.
Thank you for taking the time to share this video information. It was very helpful.

Very informative
Thank you so much 🙂
s it possible to show how the buttonholes work?
Yes, I can work tomorrow on a video showing how to use the button holes. I'm not familiar with sewing buttonholes but I can give it a try
Do you know why the embroidery arm suddenly stops work I need urgent help
Good luck.
👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you 😊

Jennifer can you help me how can I buy? Pasensya ka na sa English ko
I bought mine at Walmart for $380.00
If you do an Internet search for a Brother SE625 Embroidery Sewing machine for your local area you can find a store that carries it or where you can order it online.
How much this machine…?
I paid $380.00 plus tax at Walmart.
I want to make a dress but I can't get it to do straight stich can u w a lk me true
Yes, once you turn your machine on, select the button that's on the bottom left and that is your stitch selecting button and from there you can pick your straight stitch. Also on page 31, 35, and 46 in your manual it goes through your straight stitches. Definitely check out your manual because it is going to help you a lot.
Hello
I can't get my needle in my machine,I thank
Is it a needle that came with the machine when you bought it or a new one you bought? I ask because some needles just won't fit due to the top being to big. I bought some of the new brand they sell at Walmart and my machine hates them. I had to go buy the Singer brand. If that isn't what is wrong, make sure your needle screw is loosened a bit more and that the flat portion is towards the back. I know it sounds logical but sometimes something that can be easy is so frustrating
Please, don't edit!!! Learning from mistakes is a good way to learn.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. I have been told my " no editing" edited videos have helped so many people.
I do not know how to leave emojis
No worries
I do not sew quilts…period. So any quilting abilities any machine has is a waste of time and space. Quilting is a waste of time.
Well, in all honesty that is your opinion. My question is, why are you bothering to comment on my videos if you think quilting is a waste of time?
My se600 is almost 5yrs old. All of a sudden my touchscreen of the machine is not working…..what should I do…need help as early as possible…thank you..
The only thing I could recommend is to take it into a repair technician that works on Brother machines. I gave absolutely no idea how else you would come close to fixing it because that sounds like it has something to do with the computer in the machine.
