When I first saw the SE625 at Wal-Mart about 8 years ago it was almost $1000.00. I waited until 3 years and I put one in lay away at Wal-Mart and my daughter got it out for me as a Christmas present. I made my own thread disk by taking the lid of a pill bottle and punched a hole in the center and have been using it but you just gave me a good tip about putting the felt in there which I will do today Thank You so much just goes to show you someone who has been sewing for 40 years can still learn something new.

I just bought a Brother SE625 from Walmart for $269.00 and will get it tomorrow. Really looking forward to this machine. It was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. Your videos are a big help. Thank you.
I also ordered one from Walmart for $269.00...can't beat the price or your enthusiasm.......I already have an old Bernette Deco 500 & thought it was time to update!

Wow! Doesn’t look so hard after all! Never used mine for fear of too hard. Thanks to you I am going to try. Thank you for your informative video! ❤️❤️❤️
You made me laugh when you when you were talking about the old sewing machine cabinets I've been complaining about that for 30 years it made no sense what they did. also I just ordered this machine from Wal-Mart. what sold me was your glowing review, the awesome price and It has usb slot. I had to have it! I had one of the first brother home embroidery machines that came out in the late 90s my mom my sister and I passed it around in between each other it lasted about 25 years before it kind of died I'm debating whether to get it fixed if it even can be fixed. this one looks like it performs almost the same. I'm picking it up tomorrow I can't wait to play with it thank you so much Christopher for putting this out there for us!
Hi. I have the 625 and the top of the brother line sewing/embroudery machines. The 625 is big bang for the buck! The top of the line has all the stitches on the 625 plus loads more. It me out. Also the 625 price varies, so shop around. I’m a life long sewer, started on a Singer treddle; the 625 is amazing and almost a give away ‘cause of all the fancy features. Good info, Christopher. That touch pointer is helpful,
You are great, very helpful and clear. You are right about much information being left out.... I appreciate your advice on different types of thread and learning about needles the different needles. Thank you so much, can't wait to try my new machine!!
Thank you so much! I just took mine out of the box. I followed what you did and while mine wasn't quite as pretty, I felt pretty good about the end result for a first time try. I am 100% sure that my bobbin is the problem -- I had a whole lot of thread sticking out on the side. It's hard to explain, but it looked like a thread tension issue maybe? This from someone that has never even held a needle until tonight. Thank you again for the very informative and educational video!
I found this video really helpful, I've been dressmaking for years but never used an embroidery machine, contemplating buying one, but I didn't know any of the stuff Christopher tells us, really really helpful. Thanks Christopher, I've subscribed to your channel, looking forward to watching more. 😀
The silver are the 11 and the pink are the other 14. It’s engraved on the needs Les. I had to use magnifiers to actually be able to read them. So to help me remember I changed the positions so the golds are last the pinks in middle and the silver in first place to be in alignment with the book instructions/ placement
Hi Christopher! I just got a Brother SE630 for Christmas! I have never had an embroidery machine, before, so I am totally lost! I just found this video and I love it! It has been very informative. I have been scouring the internet for the bobbin spindle with the cup, but I can't seem to find one. I even looked on the Janome site, but I didn't find it. Can you tell me if it is still available? We don't have a dealership near where I live, so I thought that you may know. I will continue to watch your videos and hopefully I can learn a lot more! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us "newbies"!
Congrats on your new machine! Since you do not have a Janome dealer near you I would suggest you contact Janme directly and ask them where you can purchase one online. Good luck and enjoy your new machine! xo
Amazing video it feel like 10 minutes thank you I've had my machine for 5 years and I'm just understanding how the embroidery works!! Any more embroidery videos with this machine??

Dear Christopher. I am trying desparately to learn how to use my machine. I wish you would teach from the Manuel A person learning will have the manual to fall back on. I know how to put on the frame, etc but it is hard to try to remember what you are saying. I already knew about the how to load the machine, bobbin thread, frame etc because I had another machine. When I try to follow the Manuel I do not seem to understand some instructions especially the little ones that are shaded. I did use a magnifying glass to enlarge those . I know that you are getting comments from a lot of people and I am sorry that I cannot seem to get it. It is very hard to go back to the machine after looking at you Please let me know what you think of my problem. Thanks
I would suggest in your case that you hire and pay for an in-person tutor who can give you one-on-one lessons. Check with your local sewing machine dealer. Thanks for watching.
Wow great video thanks had to subscribe , I have a question. lil confused , I'm doing mostly patches using water soluble backing , and felt, im also using smetz 75/11 but when using metallic thread , the needle kept breaking , is there a needle I can use for both metallic and regular embroidery thread, thanks again
so, now what do you do with it...was this just an example....would you do this on an actual shirt/towel or napkin? Can you make it on some iron on paper or cut it out and sew it on your final project (shirt/towel/napkin). thank you for the demonstration. I will be buying this model soon.
Hi, thank you for your video, your beginner guide has been very very helpful. I have one question about this SE625 machine, one thing that bothers is that I have to manually trim the thread after every jump stitch, does this machine has a auto trim feature for jump stitches? Thank you.
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I just received my embroidery machine and this video was so educational for me as a beginner. I have a problem while embroidering the frame jumps. After watching your video, I’m not sure if I have the wrong size needle for my quilt, which has multiple layers of material, didn’t get the fabric tight enough in the frame, or just beginners error. Please help if you can. BTW using needle size 90/14. Thank you so much.
I will watch this for a second time now that I have my machine and I don't remember if you mentioned this but how do you input multiple letters to make a word in this machine from purchased font?
Thank you so much for this video. I just got a brother Se625 and I changed the tension to 3 but my white thread still showed on top. What else could cause that? Thanks in advance
Honestly, if you followed everything I showed you in the video and read your instruction manual and you are still having issues, take the machine to your local Brother authorized dealer for servicing.
Hello! I recently purchased a Brother SE625 and am having some problems getting started with the embrodery. Are you available for private conversations/tuturiolas? I will look for your Facebook group as well. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!
For the needles that come with the machine, they do actually say the size of the needle, on the needle itself. Its pressed into the needle head. You need good eyesight or a magnifying glass to read it though!
Christopher you're forgetting some of us that sew are guys. I have a sewing/embroidery machine from Brother. I don't do much embroidery, but the machine was less than $250. I'm actually a tailor
Thanks for detailed video. In trying the embroidery for first time, I followed steps, the start/stop light turned green, but when I press the button, it does not move. I'm so confused.
I figured it out! I did not have the presser foot attached. Once I attached it, it worked, even though one can't use the presser foot with the embroidery. FYI.
Hi Christopher, I know you are showing how to use this embroidery machine. I was wondering if you know anything about the Brother SE 400, I keep getting an F05 sensor error. Have you heard of this problem? I'm thinking of getting the SE625, but I'm scared it will happen with another one.
Angela, the videos I produced here on RUclips about this model machine, the SE625, I have covered threading and tension. Please be sure to watch all the videos and turn up the volume. If needed be sure to watch on a large monitor as well. Do not skip through the videos and you will find your questions have already been answered. Thank you.
Thank you for getting back to me! I have watched so many videos and I just can not figure out what I am doing wrong. My needles keep breaking and I “think” I have tried everything. I will try again tomorrow! BTW I really enjoy your tutorials! 🏆
On my first test of my new SE735. My needle bent. So in hast I set the stop foot icon and as i paniced i saw the screen ask me if i wanted to resume were it left off, I turned my machine off at the same time I saw the message. I was half way through the rainbow. Is there anyway to tell the machine program to start where I left off, instead of at the beginning. I learned a valuable lesson. Help
I’m using a hoodie fabric so it is a bit thick. I have been playing around with the tension but nothing has been working perfectly. I add stabilizer and redigitize my design. I’m not sure exactly how to get the perfect embroidery because it’s been ruining many of my garments and I’m still not perfect. The design turns out semi decent but I really want it to come out with more precision. Does anyone have a recommendation on what to do or where to get help regarding my machine. Thank you 🙏
As mentioned in my video(s) be sure to visit the needle brand websites and also the stabilizer brand websites to learn which of each to use for the fabrics you are sewing on. Best of luck to you. Study, study, study.
You should also be practicing / testing on fabric just like the fabrics you want to embroider on. Always test, test, test, and research products needed for education before sewing on the real deal. I talk about that in all my videos.
You mentioned you are digitizing yourself. You would be best to outsource the digitizing. If you are using the correct stabilizer, and needle and have been testing on scrap fabric of the same material you will embroider the real deal on then save the aggravation and outsource what you digitized yourself. Best of luck my friend!

Thank you for this video!
Hi, thank you for your video, your beginner guide has been very very helpful. I have one question about this SE625 machine, one thing that bothers is that I have to manually trim the thread after every jump stitch, does this machine has a auto trim feature for jump stitches? Thank you.
You need to watch the video again and this time turn up the volume and not skip around. Your answer is in the video I made for you to learn from. xo

I just received this machine this week! Thanks so much for the tutorial. How do you purchase one of those metallic thread caps for the spindle?
The way I did of which I told you in the video. Thanks for watching! xo
Thank you!
No, sorry
For the needles that come with the machine, they do actually say the size of the needle, on the needle itself. Its pressed into the needle head. You need good eyesight or a magnifying glass to read it though!
Size,- yes, type,- no. I explained that in the video about people not knowing types of needles.

FYI.
I tend to use a denim needle as my general purpose needle unless I'm working with t-shirt fabric
Hi Christopher, I know you are showing how to use this embroidery machine. I was wondering if you know anything about the Brother SE 400, I keep getting an F05 sensor error. Have you heard of this problem? I'm thinking of getting the SE625, but I'm scared it will happen with another one.
I am having a hard time with tension... can you do a brief tutorial? Please?
Help
When you enter the embroidery settings what's the mini magnifying glass on top with plus sign don't understand the difference between 100 and 125%
I also tried to sew a hat but it stiched on top. Or when i tried to make some joggers it stiches it so low from the pocket
Can you use this se625 to do work on flat bill hats?
Thank you!
Christopher i appreciate your video don't think I don't you breaking it all down for us, I don't mean no harm the first time i apologize.
