this is seriously the best tutorial I have watched on embroidering bigger then a 4x4 on a 4x4 machine. I have been so overwhelmed and ready to return everything. thank you!
I have the Brother PE550D. I was going to buy another machine for larger designs until I saw your video. Thank you so much for saving my pocket! Great job in explaining!
Thank you so much for the video! Super easy to understand. When you skip the basting stitch on your machine, instead of pressing the “+10stiches”, you can press the “+ thread icon” (to the right of the +100) . Then you won’t accidentally leave out any of the first black stitches! And it’s a bit more convenient too :)
When I say I cannot thank you enough for this video! I just bought an SE700 because I don’t have the money for a 5x7 machine right now, and I was so unbelievably sad to learn that so many tailor their files to 5x7. I figured I was SOL and have been ruminating over this for two weeks 😭 And now I see your video, and I feel a renewed sense of hope and crafting. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤

Hi love your tutorial very clear to the point!. Some things I would like to point for you. 1. Within Embriance when choosing hoops and your design is one way and your hoop is another go to the hoop menu and select rotate to turn the hoop around to match the design. 2. While on your machine to skip the basting part or anything else you want to use the Thread icon which will allow you to move by steps as suppose to stitches.
Omg! I haven’t touched my machine in 4 years because 4x4 just wasn’t giving me the gratification I originally wanted but this is amazing information! Instant follow. Thank you ❤
I know it's been a few years but thank you for making this video. I am learning about this because I just ordered my machine and, like others, this one was within budget but bummed it was a 4x4. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for this tutorial!! I cant wait to try it out.
Thanks for the tutorial. I just started looking into additional embroidery hoops for my machine and this was helpful. And if anyone needs to why the thread is snapping and the needle is falling out, it's because the upper thread tension was too tight while the needle was not secured tightly enough.
This makes me so happy i am barley getting into embroidery so being that i can use the larger hoop for bigger designs makes me so excited to try this method out thanks for sharing. BTW love your pillow you showed in the beginning of the video. I definitely subscribed cant wait to check more of your videos out. Definitely inspired me to try something new.
Yes, I wondered the same ... I cannot afford the extremely spendy machines and was curious if with this machine you can make larger designs like maybe on a table or other larger projects 😃 Good to know
Hi, I’m just starting out with machine embroidery & just received my Embrilliance software. It’s 6:25 am, I finally have a day off from work & the first thing I think about when I woke up was how to use this repositional hoop. I googled how to use it & here you are. Girl, thank you, thank you, thank you. God sent you to me because I didnt have a clue. As you laugh, I’m laughing because I understand about how to get the darn thing situated in the machine. I love your southern accent by the way. I’m from up north. I had also been wondering if there was a way to skip /remove a step. So thank you for showing that too. May God bless you as you continue to show & want to show other people how to do this extraordinary work of art.😊
Thanks for the great explanation on how to use a repositional hoop. Love step by step tutorials. I have a brother se600 and wanted to try a larger design than 4 x 4. Can't wait to give it a try.
This was an eye opener for me. I have had one of these hoops for years, did not know it could do this. I have since moved on to a bigger machine, but i might pull my 4 x 4 out again.
@@tinyscreations what version of embrilliance do you have and do you have any extensions such as Stitch artist and is the extensions necessary to accomplish this.

Thank you so much for watching! I’m glad this video was helpful. My thread problem was definitely user error. I didn’t have my needle in tight enough 😩
I’ve been searching for this! THANK YOU, this is the best I’ve seen both explaining and actually showing how to make the design bigger using the prepositional hoop. I don’t have the same machine but this video still helped me 😃
This video was SOOOOOO good! You are just so sweet and I really enjoyed this video. I am super new to this and was considering returning the machine I just bought (SE630) because 4x4 was just too small for the things I wanted to do. But now I think I can do this! Thanks so much!!
I wouldn't mind knowing how to do this without embrilliance, just from a design you download, like what size design can i look for and use with the repositional hoop etc. THANKS for showing this tho, I feel like maybe i can try this hoop now. LOVE your video, you kept it simple and didn't talk about stuff that would be confusing. Not sure about the nest mess, i rarely ever get them. But sometimes I just re-thread upper and lower. Keep an eye out for what part of the design it happened at, beginning, middle, end or random? Then check threads at that time?.
I have had the same issues with needle breaking and thread bunching. I'm trying tension adjustments but not fully right yet. Thanks so much for the class!!
I have learned 2 things since making this video. 1) always make sure your needle is screwed in tight. I was using my habd instead of the little screwdriver. It wasn't tight enough so my needle kept breaking. 2) always make sure your stabilizer and what ever material you are using is tightly secured in the hoop. This makes a huge difference.
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! You have answered most of my questions. The hoop repositioning was a big one for me, but your video has inspired me to do more with my machine.❤️
I know when I have that issue where your thread just got all clumped up, on a regular sewing machine, it usually has to do with the tensioner. You may need to reposition your tensioner dial. I’m not really sure on an embroidery machine but it’s worth a try.
Thank you so very much for the very informative video. I am new and have tried to fit everything in a 4x4 which does not always work out as I want it to. I appreciate also that you used the software to show how you set it up. I can't wait to try this now. Great job.
Wonderful...you explain very well... I heard that the thread needs to be of good quality when it is not it will do the jamming ... I watch a lady saying that it only came to switching the thread for better quality to solve the problem...I hope it helps...I know nothing but just watch a lot of videos lately. Greetings...Good Luck.

Hi L E I think the 625 is bing bang for the buck! Only draw back is hoop size. You’ll pay double for the next model that takes a 5x7 hook w/o repositing. Anyway, i was new to embroidery three months ago. Mastering the basics of this machine was really quite easy. I’m a grandma and took the plunge. Go for it. Lots of videos out there. It sews AND embroiders beautifully. Start using it and enjoy! This is a greatidea once you get familiar with basics. Good luck.
Great video. I was just thinking that I needed to return my machine because I can't be bothered with re-hooping. I'm gonna give your method a shot before I give this machine back to Wal-Mart.
Thank you so much. This video has been by far the best one I’ve seen to help with splitting. Do you know if I can use Embrilliance with a file that I have bought from Etsy?

Thank you so much for this tutorial, very helpful. What is enbrillance software. How does the project likes when you take out of frame and show back side?
Straight to the point I actually understood this and I’m a beginner. I have the brother pe 800 5x7 hoop. I have the hoop set in my Amazon cart along with some other supplies. I’m really wanting to do in the hoop projects like zipper bags. No way your a grandma. I’m 61 I still look young but not that young and.my first grand child she gonna be 17 the youngest is gonna be 2. I have 12 all together
Thank you so much for watching! I’m going to practice doing in the hoop projects with the repositional hoop. I have 4 grandkids and they spend all my money 😁
Good job!! During all that trouble you pulled it off! I bought some Walmart embroidery needles and they kept breaking my thread. I replaced with an Organ brand embroidery needle and it was perfect. If you have any Walmart bought needles toss them!
Here is my question which may be a stretch.. do you think it’s possible to create a bigger design with the repositions hoop but instead of a two part project it be a four part project?? Hope this reads well. 😊
This was right on point! Thanks for explaining the repositional hoop. And I kept wondering if you needle kept breaking after you removed the basting stitch. In embrillance check under the utilities tab you may be able to remove the basting stitch. I have the same fearless design but I don't think it came with a basting stitch I didn't have to remove the basting stitch. Great video I look forward to seeing more of your embroidery videos 😊
On the thread jamming up, checking tension and make sure your machine is oiled and clean out. Sometime the shedding from sewing fabric gets in machine. I hope that is the problem and nothing bigger. I have that machine still in box. Getting ready to start embroidering soon on it. I embroidered by hand. Lol
My friend bought me a Brother P535 from an action. It was used. Trying to embroider my husband work name to duplicate shirts he gets from work. Simple basic alpha. Just found out about split files. Just received the same 3 hoops from Amazon. Just found out I need a embroidery program. sigh. Too bad my EQ8 couldn't do it. Loved your video and see how thing happen to you too. I would say wrong type of needle or tension. Just learned about ball point needles!
Thank you SO MUCH! You are the BEST! The patience in your voice and the specific directions really work. Please keep going as I’ve checked other videos before yours and YOURS was the only one that helped me! Thank you!
i dont know how to remove the basting stitch or that other white line. but same here as not wanting it. i know somewhere is basting hoop under utility. but i do know way easier in embrillance that when going from one step color to the next, use the spool +/- on the side instead of +10/-10 etc. and thank you for this informative video. for the thread messing up, just check everything out, clean well for caught threads in the top. and mostly looks like there but do bottom as well. either or the thread is getting hung up around the spool coming off..
Your video is super. I am doing a lot of research, do you possibly know if this works the same for the pe535? I see your machine is 4x4 area as the pe535. I haven’t gotten my machine yet, that’s the reason why I’m asking. Thank you
One of the best videos I have seen about hoop reposition in a 4 x 4 embroidery machine!!!!! But the images look inverted, were you taping using mirrors? You can do something similar with the SE 1900 that is a 5 x 7 embroidery machine to which you can attach the 12 x 5 hoop!!!!! Regarding those small glitches you show in the video, I would lower the stitch speed to 2/3 thirds of the maximum speed, using a slightly larger size needle, and adding silicon lubricant to the upper thread. I don't know which thread sizes you are using in the top thread and the bobbin, but I am using 40weight thread for the top thread, and 50 or 60 weight in the bobbin thread, and my machines barely skip a stitch. Try any of these possibilities and see what happens. Embrilliance and Embyrd are excellent programs, I am happy watching someone using them to teach us who are into embroidery!!!! Again, Excellent Video!!!!
This video is amazing ! I just got into embroidery and so far I love it ! I have a brother se400 ( I know super old) but I’m hoping it works with the repositioning hoop ! I get my windows laptop tomorrow so I cannot wait to try ! ❤️ thank you!

Thank you so much , Im confused tho on what program you're using and if i need to buy that to be able to use the bigger hoop. Girl I wanted to reach through the screen and help you with your camera LOL. but you did wonderful !! looking forward to more videos.
Ty! Very Nice and detailed video I also use Embrilliance i have a bigger embroidery n sewing machine topaz 50 , just added the Pe550D (i think it was the disney that got me )for the grandbabies stuff and this was very helpful I was lost on repositional hoops.your video was straight to the point.
Omg you are so my people! When one thing goes wrong everything goes off track hahah. Loved this video and hoping it finally pushes me to embroider something as a starting point!!
Next to where you were advancing is the 1 spool with a plus and minus that is how you move forward to the next step & then I do believe you have to press plus 1 single to get it to start on the next color ( that is what I have to do on my 6 needle.. I haven't used my se-625 in a while..
That’s a neat hoop! I noticed that your side screen has a bobbin picture. Your screen has a minus and a plus bobbin. I’m wondering if you use the plus bobbin if it that would advance to the next stitch sequence? Thanks for the video. I’m new to this, too, and love watching other’s videos to see how to do all of this embroidery stuff.

Hello Tenci here from Crafty Black Girls. This is one craft I wish I had listened to my mother on. She was a seamstress among other things but I would have been so much farther slong.
This seems so easy!! I am amazed you don't have to save all segments seperarley or add alignment stitches!! Thank you so much for this video. With embrilliance is the essential module all you need? I use the express for my text creations

Thanks for the great information. I have a SE625 and its been giving me the blues. The repositioning hoop was so difficult, I used Embrilliance and when I got to my machine the middle section didn't line up the in the design, the needle kept breaking, and the thread was bunching. It was a lot. Do you have any tips on how to fix those issues. Thanks
Thank you so much for watching! When my needle kept breaking and thread was bunching up I realized I didn’t have my needle in right. When I put it in, I tightened it with my hands instead of the little screwdriver so it wasn’t tight enough

Im super excited and interested in your content ...thanks for finding me 😊 surely going to stay
Thank you!! I am going to definitely start being more consistent
could you please tell me which embrillance version do you use. is it embrillance essentials? love your video!
Thank you so much! I have essentials and enthusiast. You can do this with both versions
Good job!! During all that trouble you pulled it off! I bought some Walmart embroidery needles and they kept breaking my thread. I replaced with an Organ brand embroidery needle and it was perfect. If you have any Walmart bought needles toss them!
Thank you so much for that tip!
I’m so glad I found you. I just brought one and I hope I can reach out for help soon
I will be happy to help you in anyway I can
Here is my question which may be a stretch.. do you think it’s possible to create a bigger design with the repositions hoop but instead of a two part project it be a four part project?? Hope this reads well. 😊
@@inthestreetspodcast8145 I don't understand the question
This was right on point! Thanks for explaining the repositional hoop. And I kept wondering if you needle kept breaking after you removed the basting stitch. In embrillance check under the utilities tab you may be able to remove the basting stitch. I have the same fearless design but I don't think it came with a basting stitch I didn't have to remove the basting stitch.
Great video I look forward to seeing more of your embroidery videos 😊
My needle was breaking because it wasn't screwed in tight enough😬. Thank you so much for watching!
What is basting stitch
On the thread jamming up, checking tension and make sure your machine is oiled and clean out. Sometime the shedding from sewing fabric gets in machine. I hope that is the problem and nothing bigger. I have that machine still in box. Getting ready to start embroidering soon on it. I embroidered by hand. Lol
I found your video soooo helpful!!! I am so happy to have found a video easy to follow as I am new to using my brother se 630 embroidery machine .
I am so glad this video helped you. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for the great video. That is very helpful. I am so afraid of messing up, I won’t even try.
I was afraid in the beginning but I figured since I spent my money on this machine, I might as well use it🤣
My friend bought me a Brother P535 from an action.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. You do not know how much you have helped me out!!!
Thank you so much for watching!!
No need to buy the more expensive Brother in order to embroider a bigger design. Brilliant!!
Thank you SO MUCH! You are the BEST! The patience in your voice and the specific directions really work. Please keep going as I’ve checked other videos before yours and YOURS was the only one that helped me! Thank you!
This was so helpful! I do want to ask - how do you save the PES file once you’ve resized the hoop preferences?
You just save it to your thumb drive or whatever you’re saving it to. When I saved it, it automatically saved it in 3 different files
You are an absolute sweetheart, and this video taught me so much! Thank you!!!
i dont know how to remove the basting stitch or that other white line. but same here as not wanting it. i know somewhere is basting hoop under utility. but i do know way easier in embrillance that when going from one step color to the next, use the spool +/- on the side instead of +10/-10 etc. and thank you for this informative video. for the thread messing up, just check everything out, clean well for caught threads in the top. and mostly looks like there but do bottom as well. either or the thread is getting hung up around the spool coming off..
Thank you so much!!!!
Your video is super. I am doing a lot of research, do you possibly know if this works the same for the pe535? I see your machine is 4x4 area as the pe535. I haven’t gotten my machine yet, that’s the reason why I’m asking. Thank you
Yes, it works with the pe535. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for watching and thank you so much for the tips!!
Your pillow are super neat
Thank you so much!
This video is amazing ! I just got into embroidery and so far I love it ! I have a brother se400 ( I know super old) but I’m hoping it works with the repositioning hoop ! I get my windows laptop tomorrow so I cannot wait to try ! ❤️ thank you!
Have you tried to repositional hoop yet?
Thank you so much for this very informative video! I am new to embroidering and hv the brother625 and was worried I couldn't use the larger hoops. You made it look easy, you were funny and easy to understand. Look forward to more videos!
I just bought these same hoops. I’m a really fresh newbie but I wanted my machine for my business .
Those hoops are definitely a game changer for those of us that have the smaller machine
Thanks for the video. I am new to this and you helped sell me on the machine. Thanks and God bless!!!
So glad I found your channel! This video helped so much! Also inspired to make a reading pillow now.
You are brilliant!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much, you are a life saver. I have the brother se630, and if works just as you said
I’m glad it worked for you!
Thank you so much for watching! I can't wait until I'm able to get me a bigger machine. Hopefully I can get one after my wedding
Omg you are so my people! When one thing goes wrong everything goes off track hahah. Loved this video and hoping it finally pushes me to embroider something as a starting point!!
I hope it pushes you to embroider something as well. Just know once you start, it's hard to stop.
Next to where you were advancing is the 1 spool with a plus and minus that is how you move forward to the next step & then I do believe you have to press plus 1 single to get it to start on the next color ( that is what I have to do on my 6 needle.. I haven't used my se-625 in a while..
Thank you so much for that information!
Thank you, you explained it really well. Love from the uk
Thank you so much for watching!
thank you for the tips! very helpful, would love to see more videos! perfect
Thank you so much! I plan to get back to it after Father’s Day
Your so awesome for this because I want to buy this one but didn’t think I can do larger on it.
I'm glad I found you. I wanted to know what program you used to create the design?
I didn't create the design. I purchased it from Etsy. I use Embrilliance and they actually have a digitizing software
Thanks for the vid, but what was the name of the embodery soft wear you used please
Thank you so much for watching! I use Embrilliance
Thanks for watching!! The plus bobbin will advance to the next stitch. I learned that after I didn the video
Wow!!! Ok so how would I go about doing this but with just a name? I'm trying to embrioder bath towels but I was told the biggest this machine can do is 4x4.
What software are you using?
Thank you so much for sharing! This tutorial has made my day and opened up all new possibilities!!
Hello Tenci here from Crafty Black Girls. This is one craft I wish I had listened to my mother on. She was a seamstress among other things but I would have been so much farther slong.
I definitely love it. My only regret is not purchasing a bigger machine
Hi, thank you so much for making this look easy. Which Embrilliance software did you use, is it the basic one? Thank you.
You have to use the paid version in order to use this option. I have Essentials and Enthusiasts
@@tinyscreations Thank you 😉
This seems so easy!! I am amazed you don't have to save all segments seperarley or add alignment stitches!! Thank you so much for this video.
With embrilliance is the essential module all you need? I use the express for my text creations
i dont see the multi tool option in express ?
This was super helpful! I’m excited to try it out! Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching!!
Thank you so much for making this video. Yours was first one to pop up when I entered my search. I'm new to learning my brother 625 and can't wait to be able to do more with it. I will be ordering those other hoops you mentioned. You definitely have a new subscriber In north Louisiana.
Thank you so much for watching!! Good luck with your new machine, you're going to love it!
