JORDYN WINS... AGAIN She is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo talented!! Always has tons of confidence and never breaks focus. I seriously hope she doesn't get an injury or anything like that. The New Zealanders were soooooo cute!! They are my age, I seriously can't believe that. Poor Gabby!! She did so well at the American Cup 2 weeks earlier!! Her bars was still awesome. Her vault freaked me out thought she would have landed on her head!! Thanks for uploading!!!!!
Omg I so wasn't expecting that little bit with NZ. I didn't even know we competed in world level gymnastics... Amazing little chickies from Christchurch. Awesomeness lol. And I'm pleased to see that we are pretty much the only country to do our floor routines actually in time with the music :P
She was injured. She was a lock for the team prior to that, and was named honorary captain. The Canadian team wore flowers in their hair for every competition, as homage to her- it is her signature. She is now at UCLA.
I live about 45 mins away from Everett and i do gymnastics. I went to this competition all that weekend with some teammates and we got their signatures! It was sooo cool :) ♥ all the athletes walked a Chinese restaurant during saturdays comp and we saw all the people competing for Mexico! lol
Thanks so much for posting! I was excited to see all the new young gymnasts from New Zealand, Canada, etc. Best of luck to Australia and Georgia Simpson as she recovers. And GO Jordyn, way to ROCK the house!
Love the new gymnastics team. Gabrielle Douglas was really a major surprise and could possibly pass Jordyn Wieber a long shot for her tremendous difficulty and flying high acrobatic skills that she could dream of doing. We're going to have an awesome team this coming Olympics in London..........
I love this competition cause you get to see all the juinors and the up and coming talent, at worlds a lot of teams were boasting about all there juinor athletes
Marta Karolyi (the wife of the famous Bela Karolyi who coached Nadia and Mary Lou to AA gold at the Olympics). She is the coordinator of the US women's team, meaning that she makes every decision and looks at every girl really closely to figure out the best team for each competition.
I can't wait to watch Christine(Peng Peng) Lee, and Victoria Moors at the olympics! I hope that Georgia Simpson recovers soon. Also, I wish Kyla Ross would upgrade her floor exercise, and Gabrielle Douglas better get it together because she is a fantastic gymnast, and i love her. :D
I forgot this was the event with the girls from New Zealand. That wee segment always makes me tear up. The earthquakes were horrific even if you weren't in Christchurch and to see the girls so intent on continuing in such circumstances is inspiring.
I really enjoy Peng Peng Lee, even though she has slight form breaks here and there she has very unique and fresh moves compared to most gymnasts. After a few more years of experience I bet she will be making a huge impact in the gymnastics world.
Oh then that makes sense! I think I was going a bit crazy... The routine you suggested gets her a 7.5, assuming she will do a double layout dismount. But the Weiler full I would change to something else because of the whole grip change and everything, she would have to pirouette or roll back into el grip for the stalder healy. But yeah with the routine she did here, she's counting a C. I say she goes for a stalder full into the the inbar stalder full and Pak + Stalder half to get her to 7.2
Emily Little had some great landings on floor and neither Elfie nor Tim felt the need to compliment her in the least. They show such little interest in gymnasts from other countries sometimes. I can't tell if that's their choosing or a business decision from the top.
I'm telling you there will be some wild card, someone we didn't expect to be on the team, example like Bridget Sloan, I was like WHA? when she made the 08 Beijing team, because she was all over the place at nations and trials, but Marta liked her style and I guess did well at the camps. So... maybe there will be a sneak player no one expected in one of the final slots. I cant wait to see how everyone looks who we haven't seen yet. Johnson, Luikin, Memmel.. etc
The BBC commentators are the best there is. They are of course a little biased towards their gymnasts, but that's true of commentators from any country. The reason why I like them is because they are complimentary of all the gymnasts, and unlike the NBC commentators they actually name the skills that are being preformed. The best commentators are the ones who can appreciate a good performance from any athlete rather than just harping on their own.
Bross just competed at Jeslo, and she looked alright, and i think i saw a picture of Sacramone at one of Marta's camps, but i havn't seen any videos or heard much else.
They are SO SO amazing. I mean people see their mistakes as like them being bAd at the event they're doing, but to be able to do the stunt at all is amazing
As much as I love Gabby, I think she needs more D and E elements to get an extra 0.1 or 0.2 in connection points, and just the E elements for credit points (Top 8 skills ) to get a higher start value. I also believe she could add a 3rd combo (Weiler full+Stalder Healy+Ling +Ono+Healy+Endo full into a Jaeger). Hopefully, She and Coach Chow are planning on some additions or modifications for that to happen. She could certainly challenge for the gold on UB in London if she makes the U.S. team.
It's the Classics which kick off ....well really kick off the 2012 Elite "road to olympics" competitions....if you don't do well there you don't go to nationals which is beginning of June. And then Trials is late June :) Search "U.S.A." gymnastics in google and their main website will come up...they have an event calendar there :)
I love Kyla she's so elegant on beam and bars, although I think she'd do well to fix that problem she had of not keeping her feet together and pointed on that half turn up to the high bar.
@itsstianlarsen I'm very surprised at how well they look, considering 2 years ago (and it was even said) that the Canadian's marvel at our system in the USA and how they just don't have that. I'm wondering if they have now?
No; it's a sort of loophole in the code of points. The gymnast avoids any deductions for not sticking the landing and actually gets a 0.1 bonus for the connection to a leap.
@tbee20101 Yes, I'm expecting to see more upgrades from her (this year is so exciting), I'm sure she'll have a bar routine amazing enough to challenge for an olympic medal
That's what I was saying! Goodness, people read the post I was responding to! They were arguing that America brought their entire A team to Pac Rim and the Chinese and Russians did not, which is why we won by a long shot. But we didn't bring our entire A team. None of them had Olympic experience unlike He Kexin, and only two of them had been in a worlds competition. This was pretty much a chance for Gabby to hit some consistency and Kyla to prove her worth. Don't know why Jordyn was here.
@Huskyowner2007 Russian Nationals is next week so timing is completely off. It wouldn't make sense for someone like Komova to fly to America for a competition and then back. Also, Russia and China work on a centralized system where they have all the top gymnasts training in one center (ie Romania in Deva, Russia in Round Lake). Also, I believe Pacific Rim is not an FIG event. While the US works on a club basis, each girl has their own club that they train at and meet for Camps at the Ranch
@TsubasaDreams I like your suggestions too, but really, I guess the only reason I suggested the Weiler full should be used was because I haven't seen any female gymnasts attempt it (male gymnasts rarely attempt it themselves), and could possibly have it named after her in the COPs. It's been a long, long time since the COPs has had a skill named after a U.S. gymnast.
@jennyendlessly And to also mentioned, all the main countries sent their C teams to the test events besides, Jinnan and Sui Lu from China and Balbosa from Brazil.Ariella Kaeslin from Switerland. And I think the main reason the women team weren't there is because the team already qualified for the 2012 Olympics accept for Canada.
Millie Williamson. Holy. to. the. crap. YOU ARE MY AGE AND I CAN NEVER IMAGINE MYSELF DOING THAT. I'm not even level 5 yet!!! PROPS 2 U GIRL! I so wish I was you and your teammates. KEEP IT UP SEE YOU IN BRAZIL 2016!!!!!!!!!!! go new zealand
She means, has the potential to do better. Tan Sixin was fabulous in 2010 at the Youth Olympic Games, but suffers from inconsistency. Nothing wrong with saying she can do better- she can.
It shows that Katelyn Ohashi was trained in the same gym as Nastia, I'm sad she wasn't old enough for the 2012 games because she brings the kind of artistry Nastia did that you didn't really see in our 2012 girls, although they were obviously extremely talented as well.
Congratulations to Gabrielle Douglas on winning gold in the Uneven Bars Finals!! Finally, she has made a name for herself even more in the eyes of Marta Karolyi and the judges in major international competition! Please, Marta, put her on this U.S. Olympic Team! Right along with Kyla Ross who won UB-Silver, and BB-Gold! Also, congrats to Jordyn Wieber who won FX-Gold! She had a fall in BB Finals (Dang!) but came back to claim the FX title. Team U.S.A., good luck in Jesolo, Italy!
Found it. It's Pirates and Mermaid by The Blue Sky Project. It was used in the Clorox commercial where the little boy or the little girl are playing in the bathroom, and they are pretending to be a pirate and a mermaid. I thought you meant Pirates of the Caribbean at first.
Problem is Nastia, while she has strengths in areas we need, may not be able to contribute as widely as Gabby might. Gabby is not only incredibly strong in bars, but also can produce high scores in almost every other apparatus. IF they choose to take Nastia she better have not only phenomenal bars but as well beam that produces such high consistent scores as to be no question about her place on the team. We will see what they produce as the season gets off to a start (CANT WAIT until May :)
well Lexie did alright I think for a junior so she still has to work on it...but the score was a little much considering that she was also out of bounds for the vault and the additional steps as well. It was good though.
@Huskyowner2007 I think they (Russia & China) do not consider this event as part of the preparation for their teams. Their training is based now in another system.
They aren't guaranteed anything. I unfortunately think Shawn might not make it this year. With such little we've seen from both former team members we really don't know where they are in their training compared to the younger girls who have been active in competitions all year. We'll see at Visa's.
That's a very true statement. At last year's Worlds, Gabby came dangerously close to knocking Aly out of the all-around in prelims, so anything's possible.
@TsubasaDreams Actually, I'm not crazy. If you noticed what I wrote, the 3rd combo I suggested was a single combo to get 7 skills in, plus the dismount. When I suggested Gabby should do more D and E elements to get .1 to.2 in connection points, and JUST the E elements to get higher credit points, that's what I was referring to. I luv Jordyn Wieber, she's so awesome.
Love the camera view on the end corners of the floor, this is how the floor exercise should be recorded all the time.
JORDYN WINS... AGAIN
She is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo talented!! Always has tons of confidence and never breaks focus. I seriously hope she doesn't get an injury or anything like that.

Thank you for this upload, I really enjoyed it a lot! Some great gymnastics!

Awesomeness lol. And I'm pleased to see that we are pretty much the only country to do our floor routines actually in time with the music :P

Jordyn Wieber is completely ready for the Olympics. I can't wait to watch her!
Thanks so much for posting! I was excited to see all the new young gymnasts from New Zealand, Canada, etc. Best of luck to Australia and Georgia Simpson as she recovers. And GO Jordyn, way to ROCK the house!
I'll second that. She's extremely talented. I love her bar set; she has obviously been very well trained, and has excellent technique.
Really nice bar set that Jordyn did! Shes improving so much on bars! Shes finally getting those little details! :D
Peng Peng Lee is such a beautiful and strong gymnasts. I love watching her compete.
Watching this in Feb 2020, & loving it. Can’t wait for the 2020 Olympics.⚡️🤸♀️⚡️..
omgggg thank you for posting THIS !!!!
So proud of those girls from New Zealand. They are very brave and devoted to keep on working despite the affects from the Earthquakes. Go girls!
Thank you for uploading these! I'm in the UK and it's really hard to find these televised Xx
I miss doing gymnastics so much. I had to stop because I broke my ankle and sprained it. It's so sad to see gymnast get injured doing what they love.
Love the new gymnastics team. Gabrielle Douglas was really a major surprise and could possibly pass Jordyn Wieber a long shot for her tremendous difficulty and flying high acrobatic skills that she could dream of doing. We're going to have an awesome team this coming Olympics in London..........
thanks for posting these videos
i live gymnastics for the fact that no matter what size you are you still have a chance to be amazing!
love peng pengs beam it is amazing :D
lauren mitchell is amazingggg
I love this competition cause you get to see all the juinors and the up and coming talent, at worlds a lot of teams were boasting about all there juinor athletes
I'm loving the Canadian seniors! They are great!
Yeah... the senior Canadian team in this Pac Rims were really fun to watch, and I do hope that christine gets to go to rio 2016!
the new zealand team is absolutely adorable:) that have so much talent too!!
Marta Karolyi (the wife of the famous Bela Karolyi who coached Nadia and Mary Lou to AA gold at the Olympics). She is the coordinator of the US women's team, meaning that she makes every decision and looks at every girl really closely to figure out the best team for each competition.
WOOT Thanks! Since the championship I have been waiting each day for a full vid...thanks :)
You guys are all great GYMNAST!

Katelyn Ohashi is sooo cute!! She is such a young and talented gymnast!
the last china's beam gymnast is absolute beauty. even with a fall. omg. ive never seen such a clean routine.
Thanks soo much for posting
thank you so much for the upload!!!
AWESOME !! I was hoping you'd put this up !! :D Thank you !!!
Love the Videos. Look forward to this year's Visa American Cup...........
i wached the hole thing and shawn jonhson shes a gymnastics shes amazing
I forgot this was the event with the girls from New Zealand.
That wee segment always makes me tear up. The earthquakes were horrific even if you weren't in Christchurch and to see the girls so intent on continuing in such circumstances is inspiring.
I love Jordyn's new hair cut its very cute
I really enjoy Peng Peng Lee, even though she has slight form breaks here and there she has very unique and fresh moves compared to most gymnasts. After a few more years of experience I bet she will be making a huge impact in the gymnastics world.
That was the slowest and most flowy standing full ever, love Peng Peng.
Oh then that makes sense! I think I was going a bit crazy... The routine you suggested gets her a 7.5, assuming she will do a double layout dismount. I really wish Jordyn would put a little arch into her double layout dismount on bars. That looks so much more elegant.
Bross just competed at Jeslo, and she looked alright, and i think i saw a picture of Sacramone at one of Marta's camps, but i havn't seen any videos or heard much else.
I agree! A year ago, everyone counted her out, but USA needs bars and she HAS it! (:
THANK YOU. you are a star :)
They are SO SO amazing. I mean people see their mistakes as like them being bAd at the event they're doing, but to be able to do the stunt at all is amazing

milly wiliamson was adorable and she had cool floor music
they tend to grow and become heavier and even less flexible regardless how much they train, and also their bodies take a toll
thank you so much :)
Wow they are great
Yes. She had serious issues with vault at Nationals this year which is making people worried she will burn out though.
@itsstianlarsen I'm very surprised at how well they look, considering 2 years ago (and it was even said) that the Canadian's marvel at our system in the USA and how they just don't have that. I'm wondering if they have now?
thks 4 postin'
36:05 Gabby's uneven bars routine - these release moves are pure madness...
thank you thank you thank you!
Some are taped, but they're legs have a lot of chalk on them if you look closely, so it distorts the color
No; it's a sort of loophole in the code of points. The gymnast avoids any deductions for not sticking the landing and actually gets a 0.1 bonus for the connection to a leap.

aww that little Charlotte ! twist that first pass girl =)
do the coaches when they make the dances for floor exercise are they thinking about their ages and moves for what they should be doing at their age?
@Huskyowner2007 Russian Nationals is next week so timing is completely off. It wouldn't make sense for someone like Komova to fly to America for a competition and then back. Ohashi has one of the best choreographed routines I have seen come from WOGA. (Elite wise)
Thank you!!!
olympic trials are in July in San Jose
wow, its quite impressive that all those NZ girls are from the same gym :) such a nice story
She means, has the potential to do better. Tan Sixin was fabulous in 2010 at the Youth Olympic Games, but suffers from inconsistency. Nothing wrong with saying she can do better- she can.
@jennyendlessly they didnt have too. the test event are only for those who didn't qualify for the Olympics at Worlds.
Katelyn Ohashi is going to be a big name in a few years!
I really hope Katelyn Ohashi doesn't get injured in the next four years. I really want to see her in Rio.
It shows that Katelyn Ohashi was trained in the same gym as Nastia, I'm sad she wasn't old enough for the 2012 games because she brings the kind of artistry Nastia did that you didn't really see in our 2012 girls, although they were obviously extremely talented as well.

Jordyn Weiber is just amazing.

Peng Peng Lee kicks ass at bars & beam, Damn!
thanks!!
@tbee20101 I've read that Gabby is capably of a 6.9 routine, I don't know if it's true but I'm sure she will have a pretty big start value till London

I feel so bad for Georgia. She was a strong gymnast! it just sucks that she was trying to make her comeback this year!
the hop is not a deduction, its extra points :)
i love how kyla´s hair is same as myckayla
@Huskyowner2007 I think they (Russia & China) do not consider this event as part of the preparation for their teams. Their training is based now in another system.

whoevers on floor during amelia hudleys beam routine has Peng Peng lee's music... :P
Thanks for this competition and does anyone know if there is anywhere i can watch the finals for this competition?

@jennyendlessly Yeah we did. The USA sent a few artistic gymnastic men over there. Plus the acrobatics women and men teams.
