    Thanks for the idea. The Armand slow down/time stretching of vocals was a classic 90s House Music effect. It built anticipation before the drop.

      Goldie actually pioneered that sound, it's called Time Stretching.

    Hi Ellaskins... I really want your help with a different equipment. I'm a DJ in Brazil and I bought a used XDJ-RX, but I'm only going to have it with me so I can test it in a few days and what I need it to do and I'm scared, because I don't see anyone in any tutorial doing it is using the Hot Cue's each on a different track. In the case of the XDJ-RX, 8 different tracks. I have a pair of Denon DN-S3700 and its hot cue is simple, I go to the point I need on any track, click on it and it's ready and I leave the right points for different tracks... Is this possible on the XDJ-RX? Otherwise, I won't be able to use it for my work and I'll have to return it as soon as it arrives… 😔
    Can you help me?

    • @ellaskins
      @ellaskins  11 месяцев назад +2

      one you set a hot cue on a track it will stay there even if you load another track.... then when you put the track back on the original hot cues will still be there untill you use shift/ and remove them

      @@ellaskins I received the equipment and tested it in every way and it really doesn't work as I need it to... I don't know the correct translation for “sonoplasty”, but that's what I do at corporate events and the tracks need to be ready on the pads without me having to go to the music, just as Denon does with perfection and is something so simple and so useful… I liked the equipment and maybe I won't be able to keep it, I'll have to either buy a “Pioneer DJS-1000” (I'll research the value and if this time, if it really does the job I need) or sell the XDJ and stay with a new Denon equipment... A shame 😐
      Ellaskins, thank you very much for your work over the years, it's something very important! I believe there isn't a DJ with at least 2 years of career who hasn't seen at least one video of his and with my 23 years as a DJ, I've been through several and I'm grateful for them 😌

    i bought the denon prime 4 a couple of years ago but I'm really interested ion the opus quad, I'm not normally a pioneer fan boy but the layout of this deck interests me, more so because the hot key buttons have been moved away from the bottom of the unit preventing accidental pressage. What does anyone think of the Quad?

      Same… set the pitch to 100%, then reduce the speed on the pitch fader, and you will get the same effect
