Salute to you. Those school dance are some frustrating gig to do. You did an outstanding job 👏.
Thank you!
Best vid on connecting speaker to speaker wirelessly. I’ve asked every DJ I know if they’ve connected the Xvive this way and no one has yet. Thanks fir the great vid and set up of this system. Can’t wait to use mine!!!
Nice work! I like the review on the wireless transmitter
Also, it's tough to really judge delay in a gym because the echo Factor is going to affect how well you can tell.... But watching the video the delay seemed almost imperceptible 👍🏾
Compliments: School dances are not easy and it looks like you crushed it. Great song choices and some really nice transitions. Everything looked good and I assume sounded good. Kudos to you for not buying cheap equipment.
MINOR Criticisms (if you want them): Spread your main speakers out a bit in a big room like that. You have 20+ yards on either side of you. Move them out 5-10' on either side. They don't have to be behind your facade. It will fill the room better and you won't be deaf later in life. Side note... A little bit of cable management does matter, even with a facade. Sometimes it's a trip hazard and sometimes it just makes you look sloppy.
Overall I was VERY impressed.
Thank you for the feed back. I appreciate it! I will take all of that into consideration for sure!
I’m actually picking the U3 this week to add to my arsenal and eliminate a cable or two…btw I hook up my mains and sub woofer just like you do, I saw your video on it and it’s soooo much better that way, thank you!!!
Great! I hope you like them. Thanks for the compliment!
How do you run the subs in mono? Is there a switch on your subs or is it done in the aux output?
Good question. The subwoofer will play what it is fed, so nothing needs to be done to the subwoofer. What matters is the output from the mixer….aux out will give you a mono signal to your sub.
One thing I’ve noticed about the xvive is I have to really crank the volume on the speaker to get a hot signal. Not nearly as hot as an xlr cable but it does work great
Even when set to 'line'? I'm looking to try a pair of these for speakers.
@@jnsounds yeah I use the line setting. A friend said set it to mic for a hotter signal just be aware of clipping
@@chromemusic4401 Thank you :)
Appreciate the iPad honesty 😅 we all need that backup for the off the wall requests from time to time
You went straight from the mixer to the sub and on your reply the sub will play what it is fed… which is a full range (20 hz to 20khz) that’s a wrong setup for the sub.
Love the video bro I think I hit you up about nine months ago on those transmitters. If you want to put two wireless speakers, do you need four of those transmitters
SM58 is a industry standard Mic, think your description of it was a little disingenuous :)
Great video I have a similar setup. I just Did a Middle school dance and yes it’s sometimes hard to get the kids dancing the whole time. Love it keep it up.
Just subscribed as well 👍🏽
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Nice video👍
Whom did you contact to Dj school dances? I’ve been wanting to Dj at my local high schools.
Thanks
They reached out to me. I would recommend getting in contact with the high school’s PTA/ PTO. You could also contact a school’s head administrator. That’s what I would recommend.
@@DJ-BRY thank you
I used these in a gymnasium as well only let down is you have to crank the speaker (with the u3 receiver)
For sure. Once again, I feel these are great to use as a satellite speaker. I personally would not use these for my main rig connection. I’d much rather use XLR cables for this. Cranking the volume up to get it as loud as you need it can cause issues.
As long as you use these as a complement to your system, I think they work great! I’d love to hear if you have anymore experiences while using them.
I need that device, thanks for your time
Have you tried new Xvive U4. IEM ?? I assume you can connect transmitter via xlr adapter into headphones jack and the receiver as a body pack??
I have not tried the Xvive IEM system yet. I would love to!
Is there a delay ?
There is a slight delay when using the microphone setting. But not a huge noticeable delay when using the line setting for music.
Nice set up. What is the link for your headphone stand and laptop skin?
Laptop skin: decals4DJs.com (not sure if they are still in operation)
Headphone holder: search headphone holder on Amazon.
I see you look like you had everything powered up on one power strip. Is that correct? Is that a little overkill for one power strip?
Can this be used while plugged in with the USB power adapter??
I am not entirely sure. I would imagine so!
UPDATE: You cannot use the device while plugged in. It is bad for the battery to do so. It says it on the instruction manual.
You did good men, nice 👍
Thank you!
❤ the great content and continued success in all you ❤ in bringing people together in a fun way from a new subscriber Mario from 789 Quincy Street in Brooklyn 😊
Just wondering do they have security there? I know Texas is gun crazy.
I didn’t see any security here at this event. But that doesn’t mean a father wasn’t carrying his piece with him just in case lol.
@@DJ-BRY thats what I loathe about school events they are no different from backyard parties. No security unless a bunch of ppl get shot. Something always has to happen before there's any preventative measures.
Nice Setup .. Kids Love Bass ..& Lights ...Everything else is a Breeze..Oh Yeah Forgot lol Keep it Clean ...🎯💯
Have you used the XVive U3 for anymore events and how is the range? I want to use it mainly as a wireless microphone for ceremony and toasts at weddings but the option of using it as a wireless speaker is awesome too!
This is just my opinion...but I would not risk using this unit as a microphone for ceremony & toasts. I would spend the money and get a high quality wireless microphone unit from Shure or Sennheiser. To me, I would not want to risk a dropout on those special moments.
This unit was made with budget in mind, so its not fair to compare them to a standalone wireless mic unit. I have used the XVIVE as a microphone for simple announcements at a daddy daughter dance. It worked fine.
I know can go mixer to speker but can it go speker to speker
Yes it can. That’s how I ran it in the video
When i Dj I also do the same with the subs, put it in Aux and that way you got control of your bass only, it's soo convenient 💯
I have another company s version bought on Amazon over a year ago. More are less expensive and I was able to transmit from my basement out into my garage concrete wall. No line of site worked great. In sure yours does as well. Great video
Another tip when you have 2 subs is to put them face to face, give more power sound nears à wall
Great video
Thanks for video i have the alto wired versions and boss battery powerd im going to try these ordered today. Happy New Year
Thanks for sharing another great video. I’m gonna look into that wireless thingamabob…
Hey thanks for this review and update of your gig. Looking into Wireless XLR for speaker and sound. Are you over all happy with the product, or have you had any issues?
I have not used it as an alternative for my master setup. I am going to use it only for a satellite/remote speaker when needed. For my main system, my speakers are always close enough for me to run XLR cables to. For the satellite usage, it works great!
Hello. Many thanks for this video. I'm looking for wireless filling speaker solution and I think this is it.
Did You noticed any fail using this system in any job? What about the range in straight line and via one wall?
No any signal drops when 100-150 people comes to event?
I would make sure that you have good line of sight from the receiver to the transmitter. I had no problems at my event, but all scenarios are different. Each event has different problems, wifi routers, cell phones, other interference devices. This unit works well, but there could be other situations where it won’t.
Great Job!! Do you recommend that dongle?
Yes
@@DJ-BRY thank you for your help.
Do you use TS or TRS from aux output? Thanks
@DJ B-RY I have the Alto bluetooth total for a satellite speaker but there is a delay. Is there a delay using the XVive?
There is a slight delay, but it isn’t too noticeable. I think almost every unit of this caliber will have a delay. If delay is a huge factor for you, I would recommend using a true wireless microphone unit from Sennheiser or Shure and use the lapel pack as the transmitter/receiver unit.
Dope Event!
Thx for the Xvive review
can you charge it at the same time as you're using it?
You cannot. The manual specifies that it will harm the battery if you charge while using.
Love the setup bro Will those transmitters work with the Mackie mixer eight
These transmitters will work with any XLR output/input available. If your mixer is 1/4 inch, you may need to buy a small XLR-1/4 inch adapter.
What software program do you use for your lights?
The ADJ Air Stream DMX App. It’s compatible with the Air Stream DMX Bridge unit
Is it possible to double the riceivers?
If you buy a stereo pair, you can have 2 of these receivers for both speakers. I recommend it if you want to have a balanced system.
@@DJ-BRY In rooms with more than 50 people If I bought another kit I would still use it in dual mono, the concept of stereophony only applies if the listening point is fixed at a point equidistant from the speakers.
I haven't understood if 2 riceivers can get the same signal from 1 tx
Which one would you recommend btw the one you use & the Alto wireless system
@@djdoncruse1952 I’ve never used the Alto, so I can’t give that answer unfortunately.
@@DJ-BRY Thanks
How do you connect the iPad to the system?
I use the Air Stream DMX Bridge and use the Air Stream DMX app to control the scenes.
Good stuff sir
Where did you get that table
Pretty sure I got it at Home Depot. It’s a Lifetime 4 foot folding table.
@@DJ-BRY OK thanks
You rocked it!
Thank you!
Xvive sucks
