Echo by far, this definitely ain't the "buy it for the speaker" speaker, but the BOSS functionality makes up for it.. I got it connected with some lights and it's some OG James bond type shit lol

The Tech Man I think the one and only spot where Google home is better is that you can continue conversations. For instance, you can ask how is the weather, and after she tells you, you just say what about tomorrow? With Alexa, you have to start the conversation all over. Otherwise for right now, there are way more third party skills built in to Alexa. As just one pretty notable example, Alexa has both TuneIn radio and I Heart Radio. Judging by what is listed on the box, it seems that Google home does not have iHeartRadio.
The Tech Man I saw someone using the hue lights with Google and Alexa side by side and Google home handled commands for the lights better than Alexa. it was more consistent when changing colors
One thing I really want to know... Does it actually recognize your voice while playing music or any sound or do you have to go back to the device to pause the sound manually??
Flossy Carter Actually, that's why I stopped using google now. I got 2 phones, one S5, one G5. When I play music, I need to stop it manually before entering any voice command. It's only truly usable with earphones... If this thing can still pick up my voice while I'm playing some guns & roses, I'm interested...
