Why is it that so many of the Playing For Change renditions of many, many great songs, that in their time were great but might never moved us to tears, have the power to move me to tears whilst listening and watching so very talented people from all around the world??? Many of the PFC cover songs always give me hope for mankind, that there is hope for us yet, if we only find a way to listen to and love one another. I very grateful for all PFC does for all of us.
I couldn’t have put it better. Some of these songs I have heard hundreds of times. But hearing these versions somehow reaches out and touches my soul. 🍎💋❤️🎼🥹🎸
It's probably because it kinda represents everyone coming together to do something amazing (that being making this amazing song cover) and that is just always a very meaningful thing and I to have cried watching some of these lol they're simply amazing

It is my belief that those of us who feel so very deeply in our hearts and cry when we see and hear these videos that these beautiful people from all around our world play and sing, is because we know that all it takes is to realize that we are all one and that if we simply love, accept, listen to, understand, show compassion, kindness, not judge, help and support one another, we can overcome the evil that is trying so hard to destroy us all and our planet. Now, more than ever, we must allow love and compassion to shine unconditionally! Our future generations and our planet depend on us all. Thank you, PFC for being a positive example and bringing so many of us together! Blessings, love, peace and a tight, spiritual hug from me to everyone all over this 🌍🌎, especially to our young and elderly brothers and sisters who are currently suffering, broken hearted and in pain in so many ways. I have been following PFC since their beginnings and what a journey it has been! My profound respect for all you do to make the world a better place. Music is truly the universal language!
I've been following (and donating to) PFC for years also. I'm 69 and not ashamed to say that nearly every one of their videos makes me weep, the ones with children smiling and singing and dancing tears at my heart no matter how many times I watch. Two of my favorites are "Love Train" with Jason Mraz and "Love Is All" with children playing and singing. "Love Is All" shows an African children's choir and there are two boys wearing yellow shirts that make me hope their smiles never fade. I just replied to a guy on another thread that the music will outlive us all which is a blessing to the future. Peace
I am a loss for words. My tears say it all. Being from Canada, I think of all the missing and murdered indigenous women and girls and the people who are heartbroken and still looking for them, all the non-indigenous women who disappeared or found buried on a farm in British Columbia and the residential school children who went missing and learning that many were buried in unmarked graves. Thank you PFC for reminding us of the pain and yet the hope that questions will be answered.
Oh my God I just teared up I can't stop crying It's such a beautiful rendition, beautiful. We here in Canada are suffering as well the loss of our missing and murdered indigenous women and men. Is a great loss. It's so good to know that there's somebody out there that recognizes and understands the heart ache and the pain and suffering of my people. For the love of God let's please live in peace and let's take care of each other. The world is big enough for all of us and that's the way God created may hearts be healed.
So long in this World psicopats like Putin, Trump, Erdogan and many others can assume the command over millions of people and kill or let's disappear who stand's in they're way of doing, this World never is enough
The beauty we can ALL create if we can come together as One. Can we do it before it's too late? We Can. Keep the Faith till common ground is found. Love, Peace, and Blessings. 🙏🏾
I'm an Indigenous woman from the USA and grew up hearing and learning about "The Disappeared" esp from Central and South America but I never knew that there was an International Day in honor of them. Completely agree. But so are many of the other vocalists and musicians. And what a stroke of production genius to return to the Jordanians and then, surprise, they sing in English. Beautifully.
It's PFC showing that when we all stand in together, in unity that change is possible. Musicians from across the globe perform in solidarity. Some in languages that we might understand, but still the message is understood. Let's all rise up!
Music is the language of the soul, and it brings me tears of joy, pain and everything in between. ❤

Thanks to Playing For Change and to this group of incredible artists for working in such a warm and professional way, recording in different parts of the planet as if they were all together in a studio. It has been a pleasure to collaborate with such talented people in pursuit of a cause that we must not ignore or forget. Thanks also to U2 for creating such a beautiful and iconic song, which today takes on a new meaning in support of those searching for their loved ones. From the International Committee of the Red Cross, we will continue to support the families of missing persons and we call on everyone to keep this issue, which is as relevant today as in the conflicts of the past, on the public agenda of each country. August 30 - International Day of the Missing Persons
This makes me cry everytime....I use it in my lesson on synergy.....It makes me cry, especially the AMMAN Chorus....it reminds me I will be reunited with my son one day....he passed in 2019. This is an absolute, masterpiece and miracle of love...WOW!!!!
No matter where people are from, no matter what skin is on their earth suit, or what their name for God is, people love their families. What a good place to start.
It isn't often that a cover of a great song is better than the original - unless Playing For Change does it. This one blew me away! Wow. I'm out of superlatives, honestly.
Absolutely beautiful. This gave the song a whole new meaning. I was unaware of International Day of the Disappeared or the ICRC until now. Wonderful job, everyone!
The young woman and young man with the Amaan Choir have absolutely angelic voices. I've never been able to envision how angels singing might sound. Now I do.
Totally beautiful in concept and execution. And whoever does the mixing across so many different musicians and styles of music deserves a serious award, and I mean a serious award. Outstanding.
Yes, production on this scale, at this level, deserves a stand alone Grammy at least. It needs to be trans national, to evoke the musicians and their geographies.
In the beginning, they weren't recording individual performances and mixing them later. For Stand By Me, the first artist played alone. Then another artist in another part of the world would listen to the first solo player, and join in with his/her part after a bit, making it a duet. Then as the song progressed, the third, fourth, fifth, etc. would listen and add their part, until in the end, it was literally a choir of hundreds of instruments and vocalists performing together. I don't know if they still do it that way, but that's how they used to do it.
@@keving8006 Thank you. However, for what I am seeing and hearing now, there really is somebody selecting and mixing components to achieve a cohesiveness that sounds amazing. A behind the scenes episode of that process would be amazing.

May the passion, the drive, the desire for change I feel while listening, last long enough to permeate into my actions to truly make change once I stop listening
l learnt about PFC from "Stand By Me" with Roger Ridley & Grandpa Elliott years ago and loved the beauty & magnificence of the music Playing For Change make and shows of how beautiful & amazing our planet can be when it comes together for a common good with love & passion. Roger Ridley & Grandpa Elliott are now both gone from us but their music & passion will live on in PFC for years to come. R.I.P. Roger Ridley & Grandpa Elliott & thank you for introducing me to PFC.
That was so beautiful. I have tears rolling down my cheeks for all you pain in missing those you love! Please believe as I do that "Nothing is Lost, It is just on it's way back to you" I will be praying for you all! Hugs Debbie 🥲💔💞💖
My God...Playing For Change....fills my heart...it overflows and spills...and spills. I buy their recordings...love the videos...and the beautiful people who are performing. Truly, and always.
I just love playing for change . Truly thank god for my life . I couldn’t imagine loosing a family member or friend , and never knowing what happened or where they are .
This is what we need today! The peace, the warmth, the love from all around the world, people coming together and let our voices be heard! Beautiful and Amazing put together Playing For Change!🌍♥
Out of my heart soul and life no words to express my feelings for this performance, can only say that I am more than grateful to be still a live to listen to this tremandous performance.
Thank you for making this available to the world. I listen to it periodically throughout the year and it always pulls on my hearts strings and makes me think of all the love, the love I have, the love I hope for and the love I lost because as stated, the song is about connectedness in people and there is no greater connection than love.
I haven't lost someone in this way but hearing this with this meaning... It made me cry. Hope to all those looking for their loved ones a lot of strength.
I've lost a friend whom I've grown up with for almost 40 years... still searching for him for 2 years...me and his family. This gave me hope that he's not lost forever

The part at 2:52 is so delightful. As a Jordanian citizen this is such a sweet surprise. I also love the fact they sang in Arabic AND it was THAT good and blended well with the song. I am elated!
I am a 70 year old American man and this song made me cry like a baby, every part was SO beautiful and you are SO right about the Arabic singing blending in, it is like it was meant to be that way. Peace be to you, and to the world.
Another beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. The harmonies are amazing. The different cultures coming together as a spirit of one brought me to tears. Thank you for another blessing through song.
This is so beautiful! It just makes my heart bleed, thinking of all these missing people and children. I just wish that I could say a prayer and have it be heard..and have every missing person found, and heal the pain in the hearts of their loved ones! 💖
Like you, my heart aches for those ones going through such sadness. When there is no closure, your heart cannot rest. All they have is a prayer and hope. Thank you to Playing for Change for all the inspiration and love through the music.
.... My tears fell like rain.... May all this missed ones be united with their strong families & friends... Thank you so much for your wonderful performance which has been transformed to a heart touching video 👏👏👏 Love from Crete /Greece to you & all these beautiful people out there.. 🤗💞💪
Whenever I start watching "Playing For Change," I somehow find a little hope buried deep in my soul... and it brings me to tears of sorrow and joy. Will there be Peace when I die?

Then as the song progressed, the third, fourth, fifth, etc. would listen and add their part, until in the end, it was literally a choir of hundreds of instruments and vocalists performing together. I don't know if they still do it that way, but that's how they used to do it.
@@keving8006 Thank you. However, for what I am seeing and hearing now, there really is somebody selecting and mixing components to achieve a cohesiveness that sounds amazing. A behind the scenes episode of that process would be amazing.
I don’t understand why PFC hasn’t received a grammy. Every clip is a work of art, and this one has a profound message!👍
"All the colours will bleed into one"...
This line alone deserves an oscar, or more,,,

Daniel Lanois is a true musical legend. I have a feeling that he's behind the quality of this production. Well done! May all those featured find their loved ones, or at least, closure.
Well he did work on the original song with u2 on the Joshua Tree album!
Beautiful harmony, beautiful video, beautiful people and beautiful song!👍👍👍👍

Agree! All we are ever exposed to are things to pull us apart as human beings. We were designed to work together in peace.
If ONLY!....

Never get tired of listening to this. Where else could you find such a marvelous band and groups of singers?❤
May the passion, the drive, the desire for change I feel while listening, last long enough to permeate into my actions to truly make change once I stop listening
🧡❤
I have never been a U2 fan, but this is wonderful. Wishing everyone a joyful reunion

Roger Ridley & Grandpa Elliott are now both gone from us but their music & passion will live on in PFC for years to come. R.I.P. Roger Ridley & Grandpa Elliott & thank you for introducing me to PFC.
Wow. It is really amazing when East-West-North and South singing together in harmony
Great to hear you again Daniel.
The world. So many problems. But global musicians give us hope that one day, one day.
That was so beautiful. I have tears rolling down my cheeks for all you pain in missing those you love! Please believe as I do that "Nothing is Lost, It is just on it's way back to you" I will be praying for you all! Hugs Debbie 🥲💔💞💖
I tear up watching any of these. Verifies my believe that only music can bind us all together.

Astonishing 🤲
@@halaalsadder Your voice is magic.
They were fantastic, thank you to all of them.
The soloists gave me the shivers. Especially the woman.
Eddie Veder is one of the very few singers who covers and offers you an amount of life experience almost as good as the original song. Superb
💔God bless these folks looking for their loved ones. Thank you PFG
I haven't lost someone in this way but hearing this with this meaning... It made me cry.
Hope to all those looking for their loved ones a lot of strength.
From Minnesota in The United States....my tears are flowing. I PRAY for everyone around this world. May you be healthy, happy and safe.

@@KlaraMoody Hello nice to hear from you Klara I’m glad. I came across your beautiful pic here that’s why i wrote you, hope you don’t mind😊
I've lost a friend whom I've grown up with for almost 40 years... still searching for him for 2 years...me and his family. This gave me hope that he's not lost forever
I was emotionally overwhelmed watching this. Thank you for that.
This is a beautiful version of this song. I especially love the Jordanian singers.
I could spend an eternity listening and living every beautiful moment of this work of art for the soul.
This video should have 20 million views. We must come together and find all these missing daughters and sons. The #s are staggering. #ProtectOurChildren #LoveOurChildren if I were to do it all again, I'd because advocate for missing children.
Mark Johnson and his team's ability to arrange instruments voices and video is truly amazing.
The part at 2:52 is so delightful. As a Jordanian citizen this is such a sweet surprise. I also love the fact they sang in Arabic AND it was THAT good and blended well with the song. I am elated!
The Amman Choir is a superb inclusion!
Absolutely!! Most of these songs have a star(s) who stands out from the rest and adds a ton of soul and passion. That choir is incredible!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much ❤
I am a 70 year old American man and this song made me cry like a baby, every part was SO beautiful and you are SO right about the Arabic singing blending in, it is like it was meant to be that way. Peace be to you, and to the world.
@@ricko2486 I appreciate your words and am happy with them 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰
Another beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. The harmonies are amazing. The different cultures coming together as a spirit of one brought me to tears. Thank you for another blessing through song.
Hi how are you doing 😊
Omg have to play this again fabulous xx
This is so beautiful! It just makes my heart bleed, thinking of all these missing people and children. I just wish that I could say a prayer and have it be heard..and have every missing person found, and heal the pain in the hearts of their loved ones! 💖
Like you, my heart aches for those ones going through such sadness. When there is no closure, your heart cannot rest. All they have is a prayer and hope. Thank you to Playing for Change for all the inspiration and love through the music.

Bless all that are still searching for all of their loved ones.
They aren't gone unless we stop looking, and we'll never stop looking. Best Wishes, DOC
Daniel covering a song he helped bring into existence. Lovely.
.... My tears fell like rain.... May all this missed ones be united with their strong families & friends... Thank you so much for your wonderful performance which has been transformed to a heart touching video 👏👏👏 Love from Crete /Greece to you & all these beautiful people out there.. 🤗💞💪
I have no words. This is beyond beautiful. Beyond amazing.
I just want to appreciate the arrangement of the song. 💛💗💓💞
If U2 had been an obscure one hit wonder band from the 80's that had written only this song, it would've already been worth it.
absolute magic.
Whenever I start watching "Playing For Change," I somehow find a little hope buried deep in my soul...
and it brings me to tears of sorrow and joy.
Will there be Peace when I die?
As always, beautiful music, beautiful people, beautiful message. Thank you Playing For Change. If only more of us tuned in and listened as deeply as you play.
Haven't yet found a bad "Playing For Change" but this is one of the best, moving, excellently played, sung and produced. Thank you to all artists, even if you contributed only a few moves, thank you!
