Thanks for the useful video. When you click on the tutorial to set up the domain you now get a far more complex PowerShell process to follow, rather than the comparitively simple Azure browser based process you seemed to see.
Very informative, thanks for taking the time to make this video. I originally found your channel from Unifi camera reviews but some of your other content is interesting to watch. You deserve more subscribers and viewers for sure.
Thanks man, we are working on that!
I can't even communicate with my NAS on my LAN using a computer managed by my Office 365 Premium service. Been trying to approve it for 2 days (Intune? Azure? 365 Admin center?). I can ping it by IP address and name, I can see it, I just can't look at anything on it. I know I'm new to this but it's a mess for a beginner. Who knew just plugging in a NAS and then approving it through whichever of those three services would be so hard? And I can't find a video on it (maybe in those 4-8 hour videos on Azure as a whole, but who has time for that?). Any videos for that? Even OpenAI can't help me (again, I've tried for 2 days). Thanks in advance if you could help. I normally never would ask but I feel beaten and broken, lol. But really... 😪
What are the backup options now for personal OneDrive accounts? It used to be handled by the QNAP.
I am not sure. I'll take a look..
So by onedrive, Does it mean Sharepoint libraries?
It means one drive specifically.
When you say it would be OK for a "... really small business ..." what does that look like? One person? 12 people? 30 people?
The client wants to have backups on-site, not just the cloud.
It depends on how much email they have. A lawyers office or an engineering firm may use a ton more email than a regular office. For this test I did 20 people with mixed usage, roughly 5TB with no issues.
I suppose this app is not available on older QNAPs, right? Mine is a TS-421 running QTS 4.3.3.1432, and I do not see Boxafe in the AppCenter, alas :/
Yeah, unfortunately not. I'm in the same boat with my TS-470 (with Xeon E3 processor upgrade). I really don't want to have to buy a new NAS, but this is a feature I really need.
Yeah that seems to be true..
