Henry III was my 23rd great grandfather, so it was nice to learn some of the history he made.

As always, I really appreciate the detailed extensive historical details you provide to your fans. I always learn great things from your videos. I love your videos of the compounds and palaces of the Tower of London. So Edward the Confessor's area was an amazing place - I do remember your former video on him. The architectural structures of the English castles and palaces from the 1000s on to the 1600s marked the lovely and massive arched ceilings that formed down the sides of the walls or to pillars throughout the rooms. Very unprecedented the world over. English history has been more well preserved than any other nation of the world. And such massive history indeed. My waaayyyy back heritage (as done by my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother) are all the way back to early English heritage - I dont know how far back, but I need to research their genealogy research. The king's chamber is so impressive. How luxurious for such an early time. So the Waykfer Tower - King Henry III built was beautiful. I just love the lovely stained glass window. That cannot be the original, can it? How about the lovely shiny tiles on the floorings. Are those renovated articles as well? Beautiful. So Henry VI died or was murdered due to his son dying in The War of the Roses - I must look that up. The Lanthorn tower (regenerated from the fire) is so unique and regal. So amazing. Yes, I enjoyed the video of the Royal Mint. The rock crystal chess piece!! Wow!! So old. Yikes. The Salt Tower was amazing. The graffiti - careful carvings marking these persons imprisonment periods. Just think of how long ago they were created and yet so well preserved. I know I say this a lot - but I must state this for this video: I just LOVED the musical choices here. I felt like I was really living in the time period with the Celtic musical instruments, the operettic chanting, and the many strings and flutes, and drum-like instruments. I LOVED the music. Thank you for all the history teachings here. I enjoyed this one!! Blessings.

Wow thanks so much for your comments Luana and I must say I love doing these as I not only get to visit some places for the first time, but also get to understand the history behind it which I also find fascinating! A lot of the windows and other parts are reproductions from early texts describing as a lot was destroyed in various fires, but they do give you a massive look into the then life of Royalty. Yes the rock crystal chess piece and graffiti was incredible. Thanks as always :)

Thank you for helping potential visitors whittle down their options to the best bits. I hypothesize that the octagonal room right off the great room with that large fireplace (a very helpful commodity for those properties built right next to the Thames) was where the Royal Cappuccino Machine was housed. Well done securing another indoor gig at winter's end - fingers crossed for spring to fully arrive in time for your next outdoor excursion. As always, another brilliant video displaying the wonders of London. Cheers!

Now ye Olde Cappuccino Machineo, when in for service would have been replaced by either a trip to Ye Olde Starbuckeroo or Ye Costereo Coffeerino, for a Latte Avec Moo! Love it and thanks as always Mark :)

What a beautiful 😍 place. You really only hear about the evil that went on. The floors in the personal chapels 💒 were just gorgeous. I don't know if it was the angle 🤔😕 of your camera but the bed 😴 in the first tower looked kind of small. The history is just amazing. I know I have said this before but London just has so much history that other capital cities don't have. If I had to live in that time I would have been very glad about the big 🔥 fires. The graffiti must have been interesting to read. I am sure 😌 that some of the anti Elizabeth one's were executed for them. The coinage and other items must have been fascinating 🤔😀. The work that went into the building is really something. They didn't have the instruments that we have including the dreaded cranes. Really interesting post.

You're so right Lesley, you do only really associate the Tower with the terror and torture so lovely to have these Palace parts. Yes you can't imagine the anti Elizabeth I graffiti writers being able to get away with that! Thanks as always Lesley :)
